Dear Raghy, KRS, Praveen, and other fair-minded members,

I have experienced this kind of insults almost from the start from Mrs. VR, ShivKC, and the other newcomers. All the accumulated frustrations and the mean spiritedness of these people, even in the well-intentioned thread calling everyone to come back, was a little too much to bear. The burden became too heavy, I had to unload.

I sincerely apologize to you fair-minded people -- expressly not to those perpetrators -- for my angry responses yesterday and some today.

I now wish to go back to my normal self and do the very best to ignore these ignoramuses. I hope the moderators will keep the insults they hurl in check.

Let us go forward, we all have said enough about all the hurt. Nothing good will come out of dragging this.

I know you wish to bring to a reform to our community. it is a noble thought. but reforms can not be forced. reforms can not be built on guilty feelings either. reforms should happen from within.

Any gale force wind will only force any person to wrap themselves tighter; it takes only a gentle wind to encourage any person to loosen their dress and open their arms.

Gentler messages from you will open everyone's heart.

One can gently present the alternative views without insulting the receipent's faith and belief.

I appeal to you to adopt more gentler approach. You don't have to promote any mutt or any swamy; at the same time, you don't have to insult them either. You are very much capable of spreading your reforms independent of mutts or swamy or faith references. thank you.

I am NOT the one who starts the troubles!

You may go through my entire lot of posts and verify this.

But just because I happen write here, it does not entitle anyone to talk anything about my dear parents - whom they have neither seen nor known.

When the same member made re-entry I had welcomed him with folded hands in anjali hastha.

I have enough trouble in my own household, my neighbourhood that I really need not go out looking for more.

A similar thing happened here too. A man (with perpetual red-eyes) told me that my sons and daughter in laws MUST BE habitual drunkards - since they live in USA.

(What a logic! Then why he, living in India, drinks like a fish???)

The reason is that I refused to pay the money - that was squandered without the prior permission of the members, for the merrymaking on the the eve of new year!

Any connection between this and my sons and Ds.I.L?

That man is NOT qualified even to utter the names of my sons .

So people are the same everywhere commenting on those who they know nothing about - since they project their own characteristics on everyone around.

Please remember that I don't ACT innocent - since my days of abhinayam were confined to the stage and not to real life and also they are over since long ago.

People will see their own actions reflected since every human being is in fact a mirror.

This is the Universal law - not just mine.

As everyone knows by now, some of the members who get in to a lot of debates and discussions reacted in one particular debate. So much so that, the landscape, rules and regulations of this forum is going to change.

I think, we should wait for such changes.

This is not the time to keep piling up inflammatory posts. You may argue, your posts are innocent, they do not insult anyone etc. But unfortunately, two can play the same game. Then where is the end?

Although at times we were at logger heads with each other, in my opinion, we have mingled like a family; 'cyber family' if you, please. Hurling insults at each other is மல்லாந்து படுத்து எச்சில் துப்புவதர்க்குச் சமம்.

I appeal to you and all the other members not to further inflamme the already inflammed situation. Thank you.

Dear Raghy, thank you for your appeal. I already addressed these concerns earlier but that thread is now closed. Except for the facts I presented about Sai -- that too only because I had reached my limits of tolerance such as they are, and to show that people who live in glass houses not to throw stones -- I never insult any acharya, if you think I did, please point it out to me by PM and I will make amends.

As for my style, well, I am who I am. I try my best to stick to facts and rational logic. I promise you and everyone, as in the past, I will always be extra careful not to make any ad hominem attacks on anybody. However, I don't want to self censor any valid criticism of ideas. To change the hearts of others is not my burden. Hope you understand.

Thanks for this one more indulgence. I wish to end this meta-debate and go into real debates.

Banana is the only fruit available throughout the year and it fits the budget of the poorest of the poor.
So it is the natural choice for us to offer to God. Many fruits /seeds do not grow into plants and trees.
Pineapple fruit has no seeds. Many fruits are seedless or have seeds which can't grow into plants to produce more fruits.
I think money may be at the base of the concept of taking banana to the temple.

Sorry! here are the foot notes.

A marathon general body meeting from 11 A.M till 3 P.M!!!
It turned out to be an anti-climax for the heat and sound it created.

The people who had opted to become the new office bearers were either out of station or left the hall just before the new committee was formed. (Prior understanding/ arrangement?)

So it is the same old committee back in power .

Unlike in the forum, the King cobra has become the king of the frogs in the well with a vengeance and a reassured support by a few like minded people.

God knows what will be our plight for the next two years with the king and his well trained "magalir ani" who stopped just short of the traditional dance they are famous for.

God save the colony and the people like some us who seek justice, fair dealing and transparency! ray:

A word about the "magalir ani" (Ladies Wing) to those who are ignorant about the service they render!

They are trained to do the "welcome dance" to the
"unwelcome guests" by the T.N. political parties.

So when Dr. Subramanyam Swami came to T.N once,
the magalir ani did their usual routine dance and
Dr. S.S was just short of falling :faint:!!!

The reason.....?

He had never thought of the possibility of a welcome dance where women flash their body parts by lifting / removing their saris.
