One can have a debate to discuss whether y (used in sprightly) is a vowel or a consonant.
I think 'y' used here (sprightly) is a vowel - Let me leave to the English Pundits to decide

Just remove the centre + and put the left digit to make it as 8. then 8-4=4 will come.

Quite simple! (when someone finds it!!)
L 1 R is the clue. So 'l one r' gives the word 'loner'.
P.S: Capital L and R - given only to confuse us.
