The teachings of Veda become himsa when performed for personal gains.
If performed as an offering to God, there will be no himsa
attached to it and no sin in the sacrifices.
So it is the attitude which decides whether an action is himsa or ahimsa.
An action performed without the concepts “I” and “my” is
not considered to be performed – even though it is performed.
