Seer is a word used to denote A worthy Brahmin.

He sees the mantras and retrieves them from the space/ cosmos.

Probably the Tamil Paarppaan is based on the word The Seer.

The adages

pattaalum theiryaathu Paarpaanukku

or its positive version

pattaath thaan theiryum parppanuku

is the worst compliment that a Brahmin can be given! :(

There are always two groups...
The Haves and The Have nots,
the male and the female,
the literate and the illiterate
the lawful and the unlawful
The two new cases are
Paarppaan and Paarkkamattaan
Ketpaan and Ketkkamaattaan.
