I am at home now...i am not working today cos I just wanted to relax now.
Must be some bad time for me anyway I am almost back to my normal self.

One of the scariest moments was he asking me to remove all my clothes and he wanted to do a body check.
I prayed so hard to God that time for the robber to change his mind and the robber only removed my lab coat and did not proceed further.

Thank God...I was really scared that time cos I was also afraid of rape.

Yes sir...I could see the calming effect on the robber..he was charging at me with the sword at times and then he would suddenly cool off and then try to attack again.

It looked as if each time he tried to do something he would cool off again.

I can only thank god that I could still calmly chant the mantra.

I can only tell everyone that Gayatri Mantra works wonders.
I saw it with my own eyes today.

To be honest to you...When I read the robbery epizode first I felt it is your usual fairy[ghostly]..tale ..But subsequent postings made me to change my views.. I feel realy sorry for the ordeal you have under gone..I hope the police will do the needful to nab the culprit..But I understood Malaysia is one of the countries which strictly enforce law & order..and in such case it is painful to see a day-light robbery taking place.. Anyway don't be discouraged..

Just to change your mood ..in lighter vein...

You said the robber wanted money & asking about your staff.. Was he your patient at anytime..? Hope he might not have attempted a revenge for the type treatment you and your staff have given..!!

In India we can hear in many public places the gayatri mantra is vibrated through a music system which contains vaieties of namas say vakrathunda mahakaya, hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare, etc. When ever we hear a particular nama our mind generally calms down so the same technique you followed. Instead if you have shouted help, help or Iyo, Iyo, kolrangale (once karunanidhi shouted like this) the negative sound effect would have induced him to harm you. Moreover, who ever devoted to god, baba they generally get some kind of thejas on the face which protect them from harming by others. Jai Sairam.

No he is not my patient..in fact he never took any of their belongings.
He never touched their purses and handphones which were in front of him too.
He only wanted mine and he took away one expensive medical equipment.
Wonder what he wants to do with that?

My staff has smart phones like what he was looking for...police were questioning my staff and asking them how come robber did not take their stuff.

Anyway I am glad I am feeling better now.

I was thinking that thank God I had to presence of mind to not retaliate.
At one moment I felt like running out of the room and run out of the clinic..but I thought that if I leave him alone in my clinic there is a possibility that he would fling the sword at me to prevent me from escaping and I was also thinking that if I leave him alone and he harms my staff that would be irresponsible of me too..like how can I abandon ship when my staff are still hiding locked in the clinic.

So I stayed back in my room and just did what the robber instructed me to do.

That time I felt calm and could think clearly but after he left I was a bundle of nerves and broke down crying.

I still have a fear to go back to work tomorrow cos the robber said that he stays near by.

I can only pray he does not strike again.

The worst part is my staff actually know where he stays cos he is known criminal in that area but they are scared to testify so I have to remain silent about this.

One of my staff saw his face before he put on his mask and she saw him waiting outside the clinic.

I just have to remain silent cos they fear their life too and he was daring enough also to tell me that he stays near and will kill me if I made a police report.

I think he knew my staff recognized him and that's why he warned me that he will kill me.

As explained by me earlier , expressing yourself in this forum is a form of Catharsis and please continue doing the same even if it is bit repetitive and in detail . Even though the incident happened to you today morning , the after effects of it will still continue in your mind for a few more days just like even if we switch off the fan the blades of the fan will continue to move for few more minutes till it rest .Allow the mind to let go of this natural expression .You may be going through various range of emotions - bitterness ( about why did it happen to you ), anger ( with your staff for being selfish ) , happiness ( that u were never injured and Gayathri Mantra protected you ) , frustrated ( you will be cursing yourself for not having adequate security in your office or why your staff never alerted you earlier ) etc etc and many such emotions will be coming to you one after the other .
It is very natural and keep expressing what you feel either here or in your own private journal .I would suggest that you take a break from your work for couple of days as in a couple of days this mental chatter will come down and then you can get back to your work and regain your mental balance and will be able to set things right in your Clinic and take necessary precautions to avoid such further incidents in future .
Listen to lot of meditative music to calm your nerves .That is why I sent you the Om Mani Padme Hum meditative music chant .You can play some soft soothing subliminal music in your house also so that the entire atmosphere is calmed down for everyone and the negativity is not amplified by everyone discussing the same .

In fact he was shouting at me why I am not wearing jewellery (I do not wear gold at all not even ear rings) I only wear a silver AUM on a silver chain.

He was swinging his sword cos he was angry that my mobile phone was just a cheap one.

He was thinking I was hiding all my expensive stuff.

He then told me that he has no intention to take my staffs money and only wants my money.
He did not take my staffs mobiles and purses even though their mobiles were latest smart phones.

And now my staff are telling me that they saw the person trying to enter clinic so they ran before he came in.

They said they saw him take a sword out outside the clinic itself.

I really wonder why they did not tell me all this and ran through my room and shut themselves in next room and I was asking them why are you running ad they said a robber and shut themselves fast.

If only they told me he was armed with a sword and was entering the clinic I would have run with them too and shut myself in the next room.

I am not blaming anyone here but I was surprised that they did not tell me all these.
They told me just now that when they saw him enter clinic they thought of running and saving themselves.

I guess people react differently.

The man who entered Dr. Renu's clinic is a lunatic.

1. He turns up early in the morning (even before or) just after the first patient arrives.
Surely the collection of the day will be the lowest at that time of the day.

2. He waits in the rain outside the clinic with his sword and mask concealed.
What a lousy situation and time to go robbing people!!!

3. He lives in the same neighborhood.
Many people would surely know him or at least recognize him.

4. Even the nurse knows him by his face and his profession.
Isn't it too risky to take up such a job with people who know you?

5. He threatens, advances and recedes by turns brandishing his sword!!!
He scolds, wants to strip and search in broad daylight
when any other patient can enter into the room at any time!!!

6 He does not want the mobile or money of the others but only Dr. Renu's.

7. If he had been stalking her, surely he would know that she does not wear any gold.
Gold means immediate cash anywhere in the world.
Nothing else would fetch that much money instantly.

Does not look like a professional he is branded to be.
He is a lunatic who just wanted to frighten our friend
and he has managed to achieve his object.

One good service he did unintentionally is
exposing the dubious loyalty of Dr. Renu's nurses!!!

Sorry to hear this tragic incident that happened with you, in your clinic, this morning. Take off from your work for a day or two and visit some temple where you feel happy and energized

Experiencing such terrific situation is really traumatic and would haunt for couple of days. That's why it is better to not to get into our clinic for a day or two and be reminded of the incident again and again.

I think, it would be better if you always remain locked inside your clinic and open the door only if you/your nurse could not find any person with mask on his face and or acting strangely, by looking through the door lens. Or have a grilled sliding door as well between the shutter and the clinic door. So that you can keep your clinic door open while the grilled door can remain locked.

Dear all,

Thank you all very much for your support.
Today I brought my father with me at work cos it was really hard for me to be in my consultation room too.

Its as if I can hear all my screams and see the whole episode play in front of my eyes.

Visa Ji you know it does not make sense that a person would want to rob in the morning just as if I open cos the take will be less.

At my desk I have 3 drawers and in the 1st drawer I keep my purse locked.
He just knew that I had money there cos he never opened the other 2 drawers.
The other 2 drawers only had my cheque books and some pen drives etc.

I was wondering how did he know all this?

Dear Ravi thanks for suggestions..Dear mkrishna ji...I am not angry with my staff..I was shocked with them yes and even the police were really scolding them for not alerting me and for running through my room to escape but not informing me properly what was going on and not lock my door as they ran through my room.

The police were really firing them away saying that if you claimed you panic how come you could run through your doctor's room..and run behind and hide and lock all doors so that you are save in the back 2 rooms.

Their stories from what they told me and what they told the police has changed.
At first they told me that the robber put a sword near them and thats why they ran through my room.

Then later they told me they did not see any sword and just saw a masked person outside clinic and ran before he came in.

Actually I heard sound of things falling on the ground and it was really loud cos he pulled down the whole reception counter to jump in.
Then I called out to my staff what is happening outside and I went to see and they came running in and said robber and the next second they locked all the doors in the other room too leaving me out.

Then later they told me that they did not hear any sounds at all and never even knew that the reception counter had fallen and then they said when they heard me scream and only then they heard loud sounds of things falling and thought that a gun shot was fired.

Their stories keep changing.

All I wanted from them is just to at least when they were running right into my room is not lock me out to face the robber alone and at least tell doctor run with us fast cos a robber is just right inside the clinic.

You see these girls scream for many reasons in the clinic sometimes.
They have screamed even when they see any accident outside or any robbery in next shops and panic like hell.

So when I saw them running and screaming into my room I thought that they witness some robbery outside.

I had no idea person was just about to enter to corner me.

I saw what happened right in front of my eyes and saw how they saved themselves and locked me out and never gave me a chance to escape with them.

Anyway that is the world..it's an eye opener to me.

I have never ever been a harsh employer at all.
In fact I am like friends with them.
I also never shout at them or scold them.
I also lend them money when they want and cut it from their pay gradually.
I give free treatment for their family members too.

I am not saying that becos I was good to them they need to be good to me.
After all its just basic human nature to think of others too sometimes.

When the robber asked me where is my staff I told him to leave them alone cos they are young girls and do not harm them cos one is a mother of a 3 year old kid.
I managed to convince him to not look for them too.

In fact today one staff told me 1st they were hiding in the 1st room and then when they heard my screams and begging the robber not to kill me they thought better make sure they are save and locked themselves in the back room so that the robber cant break down two rooms to reach them.

Then today one staff told me they were not sure if I(renu) was actually dead or alive too after my screams stopped.

Anyway its really an eye opener for me..but I wont change myself and become selfish and think of myself alone.
That is not how I am.
