[h=3]Sheena Bora murder: CBI opposes Peter Mukerjea’s bail plea, says he was part of conspiracy[/h] The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has claimed that former media honcho Peter Mukerjea was part of the conspiracy to murder Sheena Bora and had lied to his son about it when asked about her disappearance. The agency also gave in writing that Peter and Indrani’s phones showed active calls between the two before, during and after the day of the murder. In its reply to Peter’s bail application filed before a court Saturday, the CBI stated that Peter was involved in the conspiracy allegedly hatched by his wife Indrani Mukerjea and her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and executed with the help of her former driver Shyamwar Rai.

While 17 were subsequently discharged after primary treatment, one runner named Amitava Sen continued to remain admitted at Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital with low sugar levels, dehydration and low blood pressure. “None of the runners is serious though,” said Dr Nilesh Gautam, head of preventive cardiology at Asian Heart Institute, which had organised two medical camps for marathon runners.

"I knew Sudha because she has been an assistant to Mani Ratnam and we have worked together numerous times where she was the assistant director and I was the 'star'. When I was told that Sudha would be narrating a script to me, I thought it would be a film on relationships because usually women give you this kind of scripts - relationship-based film or about women's lib (liberation)," he said at a media interaction for the film.

[h=3]Diabetes surging across rural and urban India[/h] New Delhi, Jan. 17 (ANI): With one in every twelve person suffering from the menace of diabetes, the disease has now become a pan-India phenomenon with the rural and urban population fighting the bug alike. Director of Diabetes Care Foundation of India Dr. Vikas Ahluwalia, who was addressing a conference on diabetes here on Sunday, revealed that 13 percent of the rural population suffers from the disease which is far more in the urban areas where roughly 40 to 60 percent of the population is diabetic. Dr. Ahluwalia also expressed his concern over the rising number of diabetic patients in the country.
