The government plans to make India a nation with 100 percent electric vehicles and is already considering making electric cars available for zero down payment. At a programme organised by CII Young India, Power Minister Piyush Goyal said India can become the first nation where 100 percent vehicles will be run on electricity, adding the government is trying to arrange funds for such an initiative.

Mumbai, March 27 (IANS) Popular Indian actors are landing roles in international projects, but actress Kareena Kapoor Khan says she is not eyeing Hollywood. Asked if she would like to feature in a Hollywood film, Kareena said: "I have no interest in Hollywood. "To work in Hollywood, a different kind of energy and dedication is required, but I don't think I have that in me." Kareena is currently busy promoting her film "Ki & Ka" -- a film which breaks gender stereotypes with its theme.

Given the growing number of stolen vehicles stacked at police stations and Crime Branch units, the Mumbai Police have now started using private properties to park the vehicles, due to lack of space. In the Ghatkopar incident, five-year-old Kurban Khan, who was playing with his friends, entered one of the 20 vehicles been recovered by the Crime Branch in November that had been parked in a compound of an under-construction building after the Crime Branch could not find the space to keep it.

Three Muslim youth thrashed for not saying 'Jai Mata Ki'

New Delhi, Mar. 30 (ANI): Three Muslim youth- Dilkash, Mohammad Ajmal and Naeem-- were allegedly beaten up by unidentified men at a park in outer Delhi's Begampur area, as they refused to chant pro-religious and national slogans such as 'Jai Mata Ki' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. Another victim Mohammad Ajmal said they were not given a chance to say anything, adding that their skull caps were thrown and crushed with feet. "They asked us to say 'Jai Mata Ki'.
