[h=3]Delhi homeowners shut doors on Muslim tenants: UN varsity study[/h] FROM BOLLYWOOD actors not finding apartments in Mumbai over the years to the latest civil services entrant, who took on a Hindu surname to find accommodation in Pune, there have been a number of stories about Muslims finding it difficult to rent houses. Released last week by the Helsinki-based United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), the study confirms that Muslim applicants find it more difficult than their counterparts to rent a house in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida. Based on a survey conducted on a house-renting portal, the study states: “A Muslim applicant must respond to 45 listings to receive 10 landlord callbacks, while an Upper Caste (Hindu) applicant must respond to only 28.6 listings to receive the same number.” In other words, Muslims have to apply to 60 per cent more houses than upper-caste Hindus.

[h=3]The crores EC seized before postponing polls to 2 Tamil Nadu seats[/h] The Election Commission has linked candidates of both the DMK and the AIADMK to cash seizures leading to the postponement of the polls in Tamil Nadu’s Aravakurichi and Thanjavur. Among various reasons in a statement two days ahead of scheduled polling, the EC cited an income-tax raid on the house of one Ambunathan in Aravakurichi, from where the team allegedly seized Rs 4.77 crore and documents linking the cash to some prominent AIADMK ministers. The statement referred to another seizure in the same constituency, this one from the house of DMK candidate K C Palanisamy, a senior leader in his eighties, who is also an industrialist.

Is ‘Rail Neer’ safe? Supreme Court says onus on Railways

HOW SAFE is ‘Rail Neer’? The purity of the bottled drinking water supplied by the Indian Railways has come under the scanner of the Supreme Court, which has now put the onus on the Railways to establish its safety. This, the top court said, has become imperative since Railways has mandated that only ‘Rail Neer’ should be sold at railway stations and trains.

Why poor turn out in Chennai?
Many migrated out of Chennai?
Or the inflated voter list with bogus persons could not afford to vote on account of strict vigilance of election commission?
Or Chennai people are not interested out of dejection in exercising their franchise despite EC's pleading for 100% voting.

The standard of syllabus of State Board of Tamilnadu is below par to CBSE which is the basis for common entrance exam.
The students of TN would be penalised for the mistake of somebody.
First the Central Govt. should envisage a common syllabus for school education through out India.
It is unfair to conduct common test to the unequal.

try to pull down everyone else to our low level! :der:
