Delhi metro does not lack anything. :)

It may be the people who use it who lack etiquette! :(

[h=3]What Dehi Metro Is Missing Is Etiquette[/h]Delhi metro is not just clogged with people but negativity, for humanitarian etiquette is no more existent. There was a time not very long ago when the Metro of Delhi was touted as one of the best things to have happened to Delhi, the capital of India. The Delhi Metro which was once lavished with fulsome praise by none other than Prince Charles from the country which started the first metro known as the Tube is now slowly turning into a rowdy third class unreserved railway compartment. As the latest statistics reveal we are now 127,42,39,769 which is 17.25 per cent of the global population, according to the Jansankhya Sthirata Kosh or National Population Stabilization Fund (NPSF).

Finders are keepers.
Servers are keepers too.

[h=3]'Service Charge' in restaurant bills doesn't come to us: Government[/h]New Delhi, July 14 (IANS) Service charges levied on customers by some restaurants do not end up in the government exchequer and are retained by the outlets, the finance ministry clarified on Tuesday. "Some restaurants/hotels/eateries besides charging for the food and beverages are also charging 'service charges' in their bills. The proceeds of the 'service charges' are retained by the restaurants/hotels/eateries," an official statement here said with reference to "misapprehensions" that these are being collected on behalf of the government as tax.

[h=3]The most successful female athlete of all time just got body shamed in the New York Times[/h]Williams, who will be vying for the Wimbledon title against Garbiñe Muguruza on Saturday, has large biceps and a mold-breaking muscular frame, which packs the power and athleticism that have dominated women’s tennis for years. The real disgusting part of this, though, is that the Times didn’t really critique Williams. Instead, it let her competitors do it by explaining that they don't envy Williams' physique even as she uses it to dominate them.

Dear Mrs. Visalakshi Ramani,

Namasthe,

Yes I did find this poetic speech attributed to Red Indian Chief Seattle -Si'ahl in response to the request of the then President of US poignant and thought provoking, with simple facts of environemental philosophy. I request you to read the full speech in the following web-link to understand the message of the Chief:
http://www.synaptic.bc.ca/ejournal/SeattleSpeechVersion1.htm#.VaUZH1-qpHw

Warm regards and Wishing you well,
Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

dear Sir,
Here are some passages which made deep impact on me!
I thank you once again for sharing this poetical and philosophical link!

"...Youth is impulsive. When our young men grow angry at some real or imaginary wrong, and disfigure their faces with black paint, it denotes that their hearts are black, and that they are often cruel and relentless, and our old men and old women are unable to restrain them....

Thus it has ever been. Thus it was when the white man began to push our forefathers ever westward. But let us hope that the hostilities between us may never return. We would have everything to lose and nothing to gain. Revenge by young men is considered gain, even at the cost of their own lives, but old men who stay at home in times of war, and mothers who have sons to lose, know better......

Tribe follows tribe, and nation follows nation, like the waves of the sea. It is the order of nature, and regret is useless. Your time of decay may be distant, but it will surely come, for even the White Man whose God walked and talked with him as friend to friend, cannot be exempt from the common destiny. We may be brothers after all. We will see......

In all the earth there is no place dedicated to solitude.....

There is no death, only a change of worlds.

What about the profuse bleeding??? :scared:

[h=3]West Bengal: Nurse 'accidentally' cuts newborn baby's thumb, throws it in a dustbin[/h]Balurghat: A 10-day-old baby in the Balurghat district hospital lost her left thumb on Sunday night when a nurse cut it off with scissors while trying to remove a saline tube, the parents of the infant have alleged. The thumb was later found in a dustbin but could not be grafted to the infant's palm because the referral hospital, 300km away in Siliguri, did not have a plastic surgeon. A relative said doctors also told the family that it was too late for surgery by the time they reached the medical college in Siliguri. The hospital in Balurghat, South Dinajpur, on Monday sent the nurse on indefinite leave.

How holy or pure will be the river after all these people take a dip in it???

I remeMber my mother relating an iNcident long long ago.

When she reached a river in T. N during a magaa magam

all she could find there was a muddy pool of water.

Even prokshanam will not be possible

without catching some infectious disease!

AND I will be more scared of the mad crowd than the muddy water! :fear:
