[h=3]Ignoring 'Bihari babu' cost NDA defeat: Shotgun[/h]Patna, Nov. 8 (ANI): Firing salvos at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership, senior leader Shtrughan Sinha on Sunday said ignoring him in Bihar indeed cost his party a humiliating defeat. You kept 'Bihari Babu' away from Bihar, even as he had predicted the writings on the wall," said Sinha, adding that he had warned the party to refrain from negative politics, but he was ignored.

One defeat and so much joy flowing inside and outside the nation!

[h=3]BJP defeat is good news, says Pakistani daily[/h]Islamabad, Nov 9 (IANS) The BJP-led coalition's defeat in Bihar is "arguably the first good news to come from India in the last few months", a Pakistani newspaper said on Monday. The News International also said in an editorial that the election result "is a timely reminder for the BJP that fuelling the politics of hate is not a strategy that will work in the long term". It said India-Pakistan relations had been hit in recent times by violence in Kashmir, cross-border firing, issues related to beef and Muslims, and protests against Pakistani singers.

Chanakya becomes Chandra Gupta!

[h=3]Bihar’s ‘Chanakya’ Nitish Kumar set to be Chandragupta again[/h]Nitish Kumar, often referred to as Chanakya of Bihar politics, lived up to the moniker when he surprisingly joined hands with arch rival RJD boss Lalu Prasad to script a third consecutive term for himself as Chief Minister after being bruised and bloodied in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Following the age-old proverb enemy's enemy is friend, the JD(U) leader whose party won just two of the state's 40 seats in the Lok Sabha poll, a development that impelled him to step down and hand over the reins to Jitan Ram Manjhi, joined hands with Lalu to halt bete noire Narendra Modi's juggernaut in Bihar.

A sterling question! Will the answer be equally good? :noidea:

Did Gandhi return barrister degree, because British were ruling us, asks Kamal Hassan

Chennai, Nov. 7 (ANI): Lambasting critics for accusing him of "irresponsibility" and "callousness" for not returning national award in protest against "growing intolerance" in the nation, thespian Kamal Hassan said here on Saturday, "You don't expect Gandhiji to return his barrister degree to the British because the British were ruling us. If they are doing well, we will appreciate them.

[h=3]As Shatrughan Sinha meets Nitish, Lalu, BJP leader compares him with dog[/h]As BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha met and congratulated Grand Alliance leaders Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav after their big victory in Bihar elections, party General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya compared the actor-turned-politician's act with that of a dog chasing a car. The party doesn't run because of one man," said Vijayvargiya when questioned about Sinha praising Nitish Kumar.

May the global warming be the real cause of the growing intolerance in people??? :decision:

[h=3]'Catastrophe' climate warnings as greenhouse gases hit new high[/h]Rising seas from global warming could submerge swathes of New York and Shanghai, and drive millions of people into poverty worldwide, researchers warned Monday as climate-altering carbon levels broke new records. The slew of fresh planetary warnings came as ministers met in Paris searching common ground of a crunch climate summit. If the planet warms by four degrees Celsius (7.2 degrees Fahrenheit) -- double the targeted UN ceiling -- oceans will swallow land inhabited by more than 600 million people, said a survey by Climate Central, a US-based research group.

It was more than kissing. It looked scary even in the still photo! :scared:

[h=3]Ranbir Kapoor -Deepika Padukone's kissing scene censored from Tamasha | Bollywood News | Hindi Movies News | Celebrity News - BollywoodHungama.com[/h]Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha has been certified with a 'UA' censor certificate, and with 5 cuts. One of these cuts is a long lingering sensual kiss between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The torrid smooch has been reduced by almost 90 percent. Says a source, "The censor board found the kiss too hot to handle. Apparently it is the most lengthy and sensuous kiss ever on screen, even longer and more passionate than the one between Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor in Raja Hindustani." Also edited are three verbal cuts, including the word 'pole' which was seen to be too phallic and the term 'apna haath jagannath' which is often a term for self-pleasuring. These have been removed. That apart the film has

[h=3]Bull run to continue if and only if lessons from Bihar are learnt[/h]Whether or not it is within the scope of a credit rating agency like Moody's to comment on India's "ethnic tensions" is not important. One or two more research notes highlighting the rise in communal tensions by say a Goldman Sachs or a Morgan Stanley in the near future will really batter down India's image in the financial markets. India already has a very low weight on the MSCI and any downgrades from its current overweight stance would really make one wonder on who wants to own India Inc now?

The umpteen loops with in loops in a poll :dizzy:

[h=3]NDA Not In Our DNA: In biggest showdown since LS polls, Nitish-Lalu stop Modi-Shah juggernaut - The Economic Times[/h]The Bihar election was billed as a grudge match between allies turned-foes, as a virtual referendum on PM Modi's appeal, and as a fight between `secular' and `communal' forces. Most called it "too close to call", exit polls were divided. Nitish Kumar on Sunday led the `secular' Mahagathbandhan or Grand Alliance to a landslide win over BJP-led NDA, avenging the humiliation Modi had inflicted on him in the Lok Sabha polls. MGB's stunning victory, which will whet the anti-BJP opposition's appetite for con frontation, represents a vote of confidence in Nitish's governance during his dec ade-long stint as chief min ister and could spur efforts to form Bihar-type `secular coalitions in other states.

Hope the Unity continues to prevail after the election as well!

[h=3]United opposition defeated us in Bihar: BJP[/h]New Delhi, Nov. 9 (ANI): After its huge electoral setback in Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday said that a united opposition was one of the main reasons for the loss. "The main cause of our defeat in Bihar is the coming together of the opponents. This view turned out to be wrong" Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told media persons after a meeting of the BJP's Parliamentary board meet in the national capital.

...and change over to a Sphinx from being a Hydra!

The fundamental spirit of India has won, for BJP it’s time for a chintan baithak

As far as I am concerned, the fundamental spirit of India has won. Yes, I do feel in this hotly contested election, that saw the lowest discourse in the recent times, the victory is of the native Indian mind which has always favoured a course correction. Lesson no. 2: The rustic Indian mind is much sharper than the collective wisdom of psephologists, analysts or so called pundits who come on television channels and discuss as if they know it all.

LJP blames comments by BJP, RSS for defeat in Bihar election

Defeated in the Bihar election, NDA ally Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) said several comments from RSS and BJP leaders on issues like caste-based reservation, the Dadri incident and “conservation of cows” helped consolidate the crucial Muslim-Yadav vote bank in favour of the Grand Alliance and in effect sealed the fate of the BJP combine. Having bargained hard to bag 40 seats to contest as part of the NDA, the LJP managed to win only two. “Comments by (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat, (Union Minister) V K Singh, and statements by several elements following the incident in Dadri helped consolidate the Muslim-Yadav votes for Lalu Prasad.

What are the elders for except to find fault with us when we do wrong!

[h=3]PM Modi attacked by party elders after big poll loss[/h]By Andrew MacAskill and Krishna N. Das NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Prime Minister Narendra Modi is facing a mutiny from senior members of his Bharatiya Janata Party for the first time in his premiership after a humiliating election defeat in the pivotal state of Bihar exposed deep rifts over his leadership. Three party elders, including former deputy prime minister L.K. Advani, released a statement late on Tuesday questioning the direction of the party, which risks embarrassing Modi just ahead of a visit to Britain. "A thorough review must be done of the reasons for the defeat as well as of the way the party is being forced to kow-tow to a handful, and how its consensual character has been destroyed," Advani, BJP ex-president Murli Manohar Joshi and former finance minister Yashwant Sinha, said in the statement.

[h=3]Cong men want Rahul elevated as chief[/h]The Congress on Monday projected Rahul Gandhi as the architect of the victory of the Grand Alliance in Bihar and wanted him to become the party president. “There is a feeling among Congress workers that Rahul Gandhi should take over as party president,” AICC General Secretary C P Joshi said at the AICC briefing here. Joshi credited Rahul’s thinking and farsightedness in formalising the Grand Alliance that effectively stopped the Narendra Modi juggernaut in Bihar. “It was Rahul who insisted on clarity on the leadership issue and supported projecting Nitish Kumar as the face of the Grand Alliance,” the senior Congress leader said. However, JD(U) leaders contested the Congress claims contending
