[h=3]The insane ways the human body changes during long-term spaceflight[/h] Most astronauts only spend six months at a time in that environment on the International Space Station (ISS), floating 250 miles above the Earth. On March 27 however, NASA and the Russian Federal Space Agency sent three astronauts to the ISS — they will be the first people to spend a continuous year in space. Tests performed on these astronauts will get us closer to understanding what could happen on longer space exploration missions, like visiting Mars — a journey that will take at least six months each way.

Volvo's new reflective spray-paint makes cyclists visible at night

Washington, Mar 29 (ANI): The Swedish car manufacturer Volvo and UK design firm Grey London have partnered with Albedo100 to come up with a reflective spray-paint to make cycling safer at night. Nick Connor, managing director at Volvo, said in a statement that every year more than 19,000 cyclists are injured on the UK's roads , adding that at Volvo, they believe that the best way to survive a crash is not to crash and are committed to making the roads a safer place by reducing the number of accidents. The water-based LifePaint, which can safely be applied to clothes, helmets, shoes, backpacks, and even dog leashes, is available in six cycling shops in Kent and London, and if it does well, Volvo may move the product internationally.

One of the friends of my husband has returned from USA ~ 20 years ago. Surprisinly he is still in the US time zone. He sleeps all day snoring like Kumbakarnan and keeps awake all night like a wise owl.

He must kill the night time. What better way than to exercise?
He would ride on his bicycle all night - daring the suspicious encounters with the police on duty and etreme close encounters with poisonus snakes in the park.

One day or rather night (which was his day time) he saw the extra long and extra shining black cobra which everyone had been warning him about!

Can you guess what he did???

He dropped the cycle and ran like a mad man clad in his dhothi and Texas shoes (what a weird combiation???)

Probably his runing was faster than he bicycing???

When he related the story to us with so much enthusiasm, I just asked him two simple questions.

1. Won't it be wiser to wear a pair thick jeans while confronting the deally snakes rather the air conditioned dhothi (worn folded double and above the knees).

2. Was it not wiser to ride bike than to run in the snake park?

I haven't seen him ever since! :bolt:

Am I an ego booster or an ego buster???
