First it was AIT, Aryan invasion theory, then AMG, Aryan migration theory, and now OIT, out of India theory. The last one has more credence because it continues till today and likely to continue for ever.

Smuggling is easy when people smuggle openly the most obvious things.

A security guard saw a man pushing away a wheelbarrow with some hay in it everyday.

He would inspect the hay and make sure that nothing was hidden in it.

This went on a for a very long time until it was discovered that the last wheelbarrow had disappeared!

YES! The man was smuggling the wheelbarrows and diverted the guard by placing in it some hay used for packing! :thumb:

My father would often say the best place to hide something important is to leave it on the table.

Some important documents were used as a lamp shade during the World War II to protect them fom the hands of the enemies.

The search went on in the walls, under the floor and everywhere in general, but the documents remained safe.

I have just completed The Devi Bhaagavatam series

by completing the sixth blog ( of Skandas 10, 11 and 12)

I have included some portions on second thoughts -

which I had originally decided to omit -

being a MERE woman and hence by being

Not qualified to talk about GAyatree Mantra (???!!!)

But I felt the work will be incomplete without portraying

the greatness of Gayatree Devi and GAyatree Mantra.

So 15 more poems have been written and added during the

past few days.

The only catch is that I have NOT YET given the English

Tranlsation of all the 125 poems in Chapter 12.

This will be taken up from NOW and hopefully completed

during this week by Devi's grace. ray:

12#13. படிப்பதன் பலன்

கற்றுக் கொண்டான் மன்னன் முனிவரிடம்
பிரணவ சம்ஞை உடைய தேவி மந்திரத்தை.

செய்தான் தேவி யக்ஞத்தைத் தாரளமாக
ஐயம் திரிபறக் கற்ற ஆச்சாரியர்களுடன்.

படிக்கச் செய்தான் இந்தப் புராணத்தை – வழி
பட்டான் சுமங்கலிகளைக் குமரிகளைகளை.

வழங்கினான் அறுசுவை உண்டி தீனர்களுக்கு
வழங்கினான் தானங்கள் அந்தணர்களுக்கு.

முடிந்தது தேவி யக்ஞம்; வந்தார் நாரதர்;
“அடைந்துவிட்டார் உன் தந்தை திவ்ய ரூபம்!

அடைந்து விட்டார் உன் தந்தை சுவர்க்க லோகம்;
அடைந்து விட்டார் உன் தந்தை விமானத்தை;

அடைந்து விட்டார் உன் தந்தை மணித்வீபத்தை!
அடைவித்தது உன் தந்தையை உன் முயற்சிகள்.

துர்கதி அடைந்திருந்த உன் தந்தையை
நற்கதி அடையச் செய்தாய் ஜனமேஜயா!

வியாசர் வாழ்த்தினார் ஜனமேஜயனை ;
விடைபெறும் முன் கூறினார் அவனிடம்,

“வேத புராணங்களின் சாரம் தேவி பாகவதம்;
வேத பாராயணப் பலன் தரும் தேவி பாகவதம்”

12#14a. தேவி பாகவத மஹிமை (1)

வெளிப்பட்டது இது தேவியின் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து;
வெளிப்பட்டது இது வேத சித்தாந்த போதனையாக.

உபதேசித்தாள் முதலில் தேவி விஷ்ணுவுக்கு;
உருவாக்கினார் பிரமன் நூறு கோடி கிரந்தமாக.

இயற்றினார் வியாசர் இதை 18,000 கிரந்தமாக;
இயற்றினார் வியாசர் பன்னிரண்டு ஸ்கந்தமாக.

இணையாகாது இதற்கு வேறு புராணங்கள்- ஆனால்
இணையாகும் இதன் பாராயணம் ஒரு பரியாகத்துக்கு!

கருத வேண்டும் பாராயணம் செய்பவரை வியாசராகவே!
அருள வேண்டும் வஸ்திராபரணங்கள் வஞ்சனை இன்றி!

செய்ய வேண்டும் தேவி பாகவத புராணத்தைத் தானம்!
எழுத வேண்டும் தன் கையால் அல்லது பிறர் ஒருவரால்.

தர வேண்டும் தானம் புரட்டாசி பௌர்ணமியன்று;
தர வேண்டும் தக்ஷிணை அலங்கரித்த பசுவுடன்.

அளிக்க வேண்டும் போஜனம் அந்தணர்களுக்கு;
அளிக்க வேண்டும் குமரிகள், சுமங்கலிகளுக்கும்.

அளிக்க வேண்டும் நல்ல ஆடை ஆபரணங்கள்;
பூஜிக்க வேண்டும் தேவியின் ஸ்வரூபமாகவே.

12#14b. தேவி பாகவத மஹிமை (2)

பூமி தானப் பயன் தரும் இந்தப் புராண தானம்;
பூமியில் இல்லை இதைவிடச் சிறந்த தானம்.

எண்ணியவற்றை எண்ணியவாறு பெறலாம்!
பண்ணிய பாவங்களிலிருந்து விடுதலையும்!

குடியிருப்பர் நிரந்தரமாக வாணியும், லக்ஷ்மியும்
விடாமல் இதைத் தினம் பாராயணம் செய்பவரிடம்.

விலகிச் சென்று விடும் தீமைகள், தீய சக்திகள்;
விலகிச் செல்வர் துஷ்டர்கள் கஷ்டம் தராமல்!

நோய்கள் குணமாகும் பாராயணம் செய்தால்;
ஞானம் பெருகும் தினம் பாராயணம் செய்தால்.

வேத பாராயணப் பலன் தரும் தேவி பாகவதம்;
தேவியின் நவராத்திரிகளில் படிப்பது உத்தமம்.

“விடாமல் படியுங்கள் தேவி பாகவதத்தை!” என்று
விடை பெற்றுச் சென்றார் சூத முனிவர் அங்கிருந்து.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி

ஓம் தத் ஸத்

தேவி பாகவத மஹா புராணம் சம்பூர்ணம்

தேவியின் திருவடிகளுக்குச் சமர்ப்பணம்

தேவியின் திருவடிகளே சரணம் சரணம் சரணம்.

வாழ்க சக்தி தேவியின் பக்தர்கள்!

வளர்க சக்தி தேவியின் மீது பக்தி!!!

முடிவுரை

வேதங்களின் சாரமே தேவி பாகவதம் – தரும்
வேத பாராயணப் பலனைத் தேவி பாகவதம்!

புன்மையும், மேன்மையும் கலந்தே உள்ளன!
நன்மையையும், தீமையும் கலந்தே உள்ளன!

அழிக்க முடியாது புன்மைகளை முற்றிலும்;
அழிக்க முடியாது தீமைகளை முற்றிலும்.

விலக்கி வைக்க முடியும் புன்மைகளை!
விலக்க முடியும் வருகின்ற தீமைகளை!

கவசமாக இருந்து காப்பாள் உலக அன்னை
தவறாமல் அவளை உன்னும் அன்பர்களை!

தாயிடம் செலுத்தும் அன்பையே விரிவாக்கி
தாயினும் சிறந்த தேவியிடம் செலுத்துவோம்.

கண்ணை இமைபோல் காப்பாள் அவள் நம்மை!
எண்ண இயலாத அற்புதங்களை நிகழ்த்துவாள்!

“உண்டு!” என்றால் அவள் உண்டு! உண்டு!
“இல்லை!” என்றால் அவள் இல்லை! இல்லை!

“உருவம்!” என்றால் அவளுக்கு உண்டு உருவம்;
“அருவம்!” என்றால் அவள் ஒரு வெறும் அருவம்.

“சகுணை!” என்றால் அவள் ஒரு சகுணை!
“நிர்குணை!” என்றால் அவள் ஒரு நிர்குணை!

கருணை மிக்க தாய் மாயையாக இருந்தால் என்ன?
கருணையால் அகற்றுவாள் மாயையை அவளே!

மாயையை அகற்ற வல்லவள் மஹாமாயை அவளே!
சேயைப் போல் காப்பாள் சேவடி பணிபவரை அவளே!

இரு பாதங்களே துணை தேவி!
பிறவா வரம் தருவாய் தாயே

பிறந்தாலும் உன் திருவடிகளை
மறவா வரம் தருவாய் நீயே!

தேவியின் பெருமையைக் கூறுவதே – எளிய தமிழில்
தேவி பாகவதத்தைப் படைத்ததன் முக்கிய நோக்கம்.

சுருக்கியுள்ளேன் ஆண்கள் மட்டும் அறிய வேண்டியதை
சுருக்கியுள்ளேன் குருமுகமாகக் கற்க வேண்டியவற்றை

சுருக்கவில்லை தேவியின் மஹிமைகளை
சுருக்கவில்லை தேவியின் மேன்மைகளை

தேவி பாகவதத்தைச் சமர்ப்பிக்கின்றேன்
தேவி திருவடிகளில் பணிவு, பக்தியுடன்.

karmaNi eva adikAraH te mA phaleshu kadAcana..applying the rules of sandhi it becomes

karmaNyevAdikAraste mA phaleshu kadAcana.

You are correct!
This kind of splitting needs mastery over Sanskrit.
Mine at least avoids words like vathi.
We all know how it will be read by a Thamizhan!!!

I was thinking today that even the best of music composers can not give a Raaga to the Rhythm of Existence(AUM)

The Rhythm of Existence.. AUM has no Raaga.

From what an expert told me that to create a Raaga one needs to have a a minimum of 5 notes even though some experts have experimented with 3 or 4 notes Raaga.

But whatever said and done AUM has no Raaga.

Only God will be knowing the Raaga for His Rhythm AUM.

But whatever said and done AUM has no Raaga.

Only God will be knowing the Raaga for His Rhythm AUM.

It is a single syllable though it is
a fusion of three letters A+ U+ M.
I love the way M.S.S. used sing Om as the sruti
instead of the usual SA........PA........SA.
In fact OM is like God himself/ herself/itself!!!
It can fit in any place any swara and any note
just like God can assume any form, any size and any shape.
