Twelve years ago my younger son presented me with a magical mood ring -

which changes color depending on our moods.

It would show green and blue and brown more often then.

Now it shows coffee powder brown most of the time.

Surprisingly today it shows green after a long long time.

May be it is related to our Blood pressure

which in turn affects our moods and reactions!!!

Just now I noticed that the portion above the palm is green

while that inside the palm is still brown!

Does it show two colors for a two-in-one-Gemini??? :noidea:

A 'framed-man' and then this on top of that???

[h=3]'Goon Tried to Kill Cricketer Sreesanth in Tihar Jail'[/h]In a new twist to the IPL spot-fixing scandal, a relative of former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth said there was a murder attempt against the player during his stay in Tihar jail as an accused in the case. Madhu Balakrishnan, Srisanth's brother-in-law and a well known play-back singer in Kerala, said that the player had been shifted to another cell after a goon attacked him with a sharpened weapon. "He told us that while he was walking inside the jail compound, a known history sheeter suddenly jumped before him, brandishing a very sharp knife... He (Sreesanth) reacted and in the melee, the attacker injured his hand and was taken away by the jail staff," said Madhu. Sreesanth and two other players of Rajasthan Royals were arrested by Delhi police on 16 May 2013 over their alleged involvement in betting and spot-fixing during the 2013 edition of the Indian Premier League.

Prosecutor: Mom craved attention, poisoned child with salt

A woman accused of force feeding her 5-year-old son salt through a stomach tube reveled in the attention that a sickly child brought her, a prosecutor said Thursday at her trial. Spears "created this false persona, this caring mother," Murphy said. Earlier, defense lawyer Stephen Riebling described Spears, of Scottsville, Kentucky, as a caring mother who was devastated by her son's death.

The very first scene I witnessed in 1970 in A .P is still fresh in my mind.
I was a new bride then- in a land that spoke an unfamiliar language to me.
I saw two men taking normally. Suddenly they started beating each other with their chappals.
Not a clue as to what happened and who provoked whom and how.
They eat too much laal mirch and have the same fiery temperament! :mad2:

[h=3]Mangalore church vandalism is latest in spate of attacks on minority shrines in region[/h]A week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he strongly condemned violence against any religious group, a church located some kilometres away from Mangalore was vandalised. Four mosques have been vandalised since the beginning of this year, one of them, in the wake of a Hindu Hrudaya Sangama organised in January in Puttur, a small town near Mangalore. One indication of the tension in Mangalore was evident in the reaction to a playful photo of a group of students on February 18, the day after Modi's statement. The photo showed a group of students horsing around in a classroom, with one boy lying across the laps of five girls.

Man guilty of setting up wife's death while on walk with son

A New York City man was convicted Thursday of setting up the fatal shooting of his wife while the couple was on a walk with one of their young sons in New Jersey. A jury deliberated for less than four hours before convicting Kashif Parvaiz of scheming with his girlfriend to kill his wife and make it look like a random attack. The August 2011 shooting occurred while Parvaiz and his wife, 27-year-old Nazish Noorani, walked with their son near her family's home in Boonton, a New Jersey suburb about 30 miles from New York that is home to a large Pakistani-American population.

[h=3]Parliament disrupted over Mother Teresa remarks[/h]The Rajya Sabha was briefly adjourned on Thursday after opposition members denounced comments by the leader of a Hindu group who said Roman Catholic missionary Mother Teresa had tried to convert people to Christianity. Religious conversion has become a highly emotive issue in India recently, with debate whipped up by some supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who see multi-faith Indian as a Hindu-first nation. Members of the upper house criticised Mohan Bhagwat, head of the country's most powerful Hindu organisation, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), who recently said Mother Teresa helped the poor to make them "obligated so that they become Christian". Political opponents of Modi and his Hindu-nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which the RSS supports, said right-wing Hindu groups were fanning religious tension in a country where violence between members of different religion has been common for decades.
