I can imagine the terror stricken lady's feelings.

usually I wait in my sons' cars while the other go for shopping.
I always make sure my window is slightly open and I am connected with the outside world and not hermetically sealed inside a steel body.

One day I forgot to keep the window open and even before they had walked to the entrance of the stores, I started suffocating out of sheer panic and started jumping like a drunken monkey inside the car.

Both the phones were with them. I could have passed out but for my power of telepathy. My son sensed something was wrong and came back to the car. I was saved from a sad end due to sheer fright!

I can never digest nor accept are the tragedy of
small children falling into the bore wells left open.
It hardly takes a minute to close an opening 2' x 2' with a heavy slab.
People will spend hours in trying to get the frightened child out live.
T.V reporters. fire fighter, general public
plus those watching the tense drama on the T.V.
IF anyone them had sealed the opening promptly
the need for the suspense filled drama will not arise!

The other heart breaking event is the drowning of a ferry load people who can't swim!
The ferry is always over crowded.
People move irresponsibly upsetting the equilibrium and stability of the boat.
The Plimsoll line is never used for safety.
People are loaded like cattle taken to the butcher' shop on an one away trip literally! :mad2:

the Prime Minister said one should compete with oneself and not measure success with the achievements of others.

That is how I have always lead my life.

I have never competed with others even though others love to compete with me!LOL

Its my personal goal and the success of others is never my yard stick cos if we depend on others to progress that becomes a vicious cycle of pride, prejudice, hatred and jealousy.

Dear Renu,
My aim in life is pretty much the same.
To do MY best and leave the rest to God! :)
Each of us is unique. So no need to compare.
But that must not stop us from doing OUR VERY BEST!

[h=3]Follow these 9-steps to ensure a healthier heart[/h]Washington, Feb 23 (ANI): Scientist at the Vanderbilt University has compiled a list, the acts on which if followed can ensure a healthier heart. Be heart smart by limiting your intake of saturated and trans fats. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend that no more than 10 percent of our daily calories contain saturated fat and to try to take in as little trans fat as possible. Avoid processed foods and baked goods, which tend to contain a lot of trans fats.

The more you have ... the more you want!
The more you get.... the more you demand!

[h=3]State-owned bank workers call off strike after pay deal[/h]Hundreds of thousands of bank employees, working largely for India's dominant state-owned lenders, have called off a planned four-day strike after agreeing a 15 percent wage increase, a senior union official said on Monday. The United Forum of Bank Unions, which says it represents nearly a million bank workers, had called for a strike starting Feb. 25, with demands including higher wages and a five-day work week. Banks in India operate on Saturdays. The protracted negotiation with unions is also a reminder of the complex task ahead as the government tries to reform India's network of state-owned banks, which account for more than 70 percent of loans.

That is the new management mantra; don't benchmark your company with others; you are only running a race then. Chart a new path to become a trail blazer for innovation.

ஒரு சின்ன சந்தோஷம். முன்பு 200% கொடுத்தோம்.
இப்போது 125% அல்லது 150% தான் கொடுக்கின்றோம்!

She lives just opposite o the Devi temple in a village.
She brings red chemparuthi flowers as she glides into the temple.
She sits in the sannadhi and chants some mantras.
She is as bright as Devi is supposed to be
and in addition to that very fair in complexion!
Her name is befittingly one of Devi's names ...The Holy Basil!
