Nothing can reform the daylight deciuts of the Cool Coimbatore.

The vicious circle is compete and we are back in square ONE!

(how come a circle ends in a square!!)

The automen REFUSE to switch on the meter.

If we suggest that the police will be informed

they are ready with the most logical answer.

"Where will the police keep all the seized autos?"

THIS too qualifies to be called a well orgaized crime!

UNITED THEY STAND! DIVIDED THEY FALL!!! :grouphug:

Today I saw Vinayaka riding on a mouse

or the closest spectacle we can get to it!

A huge man was riding on a small scooter

which depicted Lord Ganesha on the Mooshikaa.

I did not know whehter to pray to him or laugh at him!!!

I saw him from his back side. I am sure whether ot not

he was sporting a huge trunk like Brushundi maharushi.

The Award giving Ceremony for the International Essay Contest will to be held in April. ONLY three out of the five children of our parents will be able to attend the function.

It will be worth the trip to be introduced to a crowd as the children of a great man and a truly service minded doctor.

He had made us feel proud to be his children.
Now it is our turn to reciprocate the honor!

We will strive to make him be known as the dear father of
five gifted children who are also good citizens.:hail:

Those who need the physical help of others for their survival
had better become more courteous and gentler in their behaviour.

Always being cross and finding faults will make the helper lose interest. There after it will become a half-hearted attempt to help. :ohwell:

One doctor known to me used to describe this mental attitude
(kadanukku vElai seyyarathu) by a rare expression "loan-work!"

Dear VR ji,

There is a drawback for organizer of any event being held at a hotel which is very near to a shopping mall.

Yesterday I had to attend a seminar held in a hotel..it was a half day seminar which ended at 2pm..but the hotel was just next to a shopping mall and the temptation to go shopping was too much cos I really needed to buy some stuff too.

So midway of the seminar I left for shopping!LOL

I bought 2 shoes and 4 books on Yoga and then quietly came back to the seminar.

Then we were asked to fill up a form to evaluate the seminar and the location and I wrote that the location was excellent and make sure all seminars are held there!LOL

It would be fun to leave and go shopping and then come back.

When we receive an act of goodness we must pass it on!

If we stop it then and there goodness wil not get soread.

Also one act of goodness deserves another. Need not be to the

same person but to anyone who deserves it.

People who know the joy of giving will not be interested in

receiving. In the same way those who are interested in

receiving and hoarding both useful and useless articles will not

be interested in giving thereby becoming the proverbial

"Dog in the manger!" :wof:

The same person will become a Paari VaLLal, Kaari vaLLal and Ori vaLLal when giving away the costly and imported things which belong to OTHERS.

The sophisticated, foldable, light weight walker brought from USA ( bought paying through the nose ) and transported as a fragile luggage, was generously given away to some stranger - without the permission / knowledge of the buyer.

Well! The point is it did not raise and eyebrow or any ptotest.

But give away an iron bucket which has been ruining the look and the tiled floor of the bathroom.... the sky will come down.

The reason.... The walker was bought by the generous son and the century-old-iron-bucket by the tight-fisted-father!

See how economics works in some homes!!!

My father was thrifty and frugal. So was my mother.

So when my father saw some of the ladies in the family

keep buying saris after saris he wondered aloud,

"Do they need a sari for everyday of the year?"

Good question and I can guess the anwer too!

"I wish I can use and throw my sari as some rich people do!"

But rest assured they will throw nothing

not even the torn saris to the beggers. :nono:

There was a time when a person would travel for any length of time carrying just one set of sari and blouse or dhothi and towel. Put them in a yellow bag or roll them up into a bundle and they are ready to travel.

The neem stick became the tooth brush. The fine sand at the river bank became the toilet soap. Their needs were very few and simple.

Yet they lived a great life free of umpteen needs and greed!

Everything runs in circles and cycles.
We can't escape from the circle unless
we learn to jump out of it.
The best known cycle is that of Birth and Death.
This goes on and on and on until the jeeva evolves
and learns to jump out of the samssara chakra.

The other well known example of a vicious circle is this.

Obesity is one of the major causes of Diabetes.

Certain drugs given to keep the sugar level under control

themselves produce more obesity and thereby more diabetes.

icon2.png
More diabetes means more drugs!

icon2.png
More drugs mean more obesity!

icon2.png
More obesity means more diabetes!

Man gets caught in an infinite loop with no hope of escape! :(

BUT circles and cycles need not always be vicious.
They can also be beneficial.
The more we walk the more we are able to walk.
People who stop walking fearing the initial pain
will go from bad to worse and from worse to worst.
Remember everything in life is progressive ???
May be in the positive direction or in the negative direction.
