Think or sink!

We have heard of the phrases
"ThOl irukkach chuLai vizhungi"
"ThOl irukkap pazham vizhungi!"
The refer to the smooth crooks who operate in such a manner
that even their wicked deeds will not be noticed for a long time.

But I learned the real story behind these expressions very recently.

We struggle as if in a war to cut open the Jack friut, with well oiled knives and hands.

The individual 'CHLAIS' is so well packed inside the protective fibers and they hold on so strong that only after determined and devoted work extending to many hours we can harvest the edible portion of the fruit.

But the clandestine monkeys have evoled a suprerior technique to enjoy the fruit. They make a small whole on the fruit - just large enough to let their hands pass through.

They put the hand inside the fruit and extract the Chulai to be eaten fresh and raw imeidtely. The shell will continue look full and their theft will go innoticed until it is time to harvest the fruit.

Only an empty and thorny shell with all the unwanted fibres would be there
at the time of the harvest.

This monkey technique (Monkey business ??? ) is the real
'Thol iurkkach chulaiyai vizhunguthal"

The internal extraction of the prostrate falls under this category of Monkey technique.

The outer shell will be there alright. But the inside will be attacked from its inside and removed safely!

Man just imitates Nature whenever he makes a break thorugh.

The Radar was based on the Blind Bats.

The Sonar is based on the immense whales.

The radar jammer is based on the insects which manage to cheat the Bats.

The helicopter works on the principle employed by Humming birds.

The velcro is based on the hooks in the seeds and the loops in our clothers.

Want a fresh idea for invention????

Keep a close watch on The Nature!!!

I got scared seeing the number of women having knee problems.
When both the knees are too worn out to bend when we walk,
the gait becomes very strange and scary.
The person looks like a vertical pendulam swinging
from side to side with the bob at the top represented by the head.
How did our ancestors manage to live long without undergoing any surgery?

The operation theater looks like an assembly line with the patients being taken in and out of it cotinuously.
If there are three tables in the theater and five operations are conducted on each table every day - just think of the population which must be suffering from the problem with or without getting proper treatment!

Dear VR ji,

I think the reason why people develop knee problems is becos they started using chairs to sit and started eating at tables.

Have you noticed that some old poor people who do not have a dining table at home and still sit on the floor to eat do not have knee problem and can still sit cross legged on the floor?

These days by the time a person is 50 years old they do not want to even attempt sitting on the floor.

I have stopped eating at my dining table and take my meals seated on the floor.

At work its not possible for me to be seated on the floor but I have a long firm couch in the adjacent room to my main room which I sit on it and eat sitting cross legged too.

I think its better if we let kids learn to eat while being seated on the floor too so that they will have healthy joints as they age.

many in professions which require standing up for a long time like teaching end up with varicose veins , knee pain etc.

it is an occupational hazard.

sitting cross legged for slightly bulky is a difficult task.

for that matter even bending at the knee could be an issue for some.

Getting leg or knee operated is hazardous .

Someone straightened my one leg after an accident some fifteen years back.

I ended up with one leg a liitle longer than the other. The leg had been made too straight unlike the natural other bow leg.

Of course it is not noticeable .Only I am a bit unstable while walking . Anyone can trip me up easily

Yes Renu! It is amazing that our ancestors - who also had to walk around a lot - did not develop any kneee problems nor needed a dining table and a chair nor needed an European closet nor a Western toilet.

They sat on the floor cross legged and ate from the leaf/plate kept in their front. They had to bend forward to take the food from the plate/ leaf.

So naturally they will have to stop eating long before they became too full ( the way poeple now fill their tummies right up to tht throat!)

They were is good health. They did not suffer from any of the Rich-men's-diseases or insomnia or mental afflictions.

They were contented with their lot and lived their life peacefully!

What about the surgeons, cooks, bus conductors etc?
It seems that these people spent their entire lives standing on their shoes
unless they are lying on their beds and sleeping!
People who sit on the floor and eat can never become too bulky!
My M.I.L used the Indian Toilet right up to the age of 93!
I needed the western toilet/ equivalent even when I had just turned 38! :(

Now you are scaring me sir, just when I have started contemplating seriously on the knee replacement surgery!

I have been advised to undergo total knee replacement ever since developed my knee problem.

My father had told me once. "Anyday the God-given-knee is better than the man-made-knee. So do not get operated
UNLESS you are unable to walk."

So for the past 31 years I have managed to live a near normal life with these weak knees (knock knees ???)

The thing is that I am yet to see one single person who had walked confidently after the knee replacement.

All the characters I know spent their lives curled up in their beds with the pain before the surgery and without the pain after the surgery.

There was no change in their routine or daily chores before and after the surgery!

One lady friend fell down and broke her artificial knee. She had to undergo a second operation in the same knee.

An old uncle who has got only one leg repaired is unable to walk freely. He uses something like a wheeled walker with a break and a bell (inside the house)

My mother used a walker which can slide alternately in the two sides - keeing up with the movement of the feet.

When we visited a famous temple here, I was able to sit on the steps and also on a low stool but the lady in her 50s kept staning despite (or because of ) the fact that she had undergone total knee replacement.

Independence Day Special poem! :)

பெற்றோர் புகார் அளிக்கவும் வேண்டாம்;

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Agitations are becoming the order of the day! Women’s agitation for liberation, equality and equal rights, the seniors citizen’s agitation to be taken care of by their family, the students’ agitation with umpteen demands are seen very frequently now.

Today the government has to pass laws that the children should take care of their parents. Why?

We must remember at this juncture that rights and responsibilities are entwined inseparably. So also the duties and demands.

If each and everyone of us perform our duties properly, there won’t be any need for the other to raise their demands. If the sons realize that it is their duty to take care of their aging parents, the parents will have no need to demand to be taken care of. The parents wont need to seek the long arms of the law to uphold their rights.

If the government performs its duties properly all the agitation can be done away with. Whenever we demand for our rights, we must stop to think for a moment whether we are performing our duties and responsibilities.

If we understand that one person’s demands lie concealed in another person’s duties .. we won’t shun our responsibilities.

Our P.M is right! :clap2:

If every Indian takes an oath to fight corruption
surely it will come to an end very soon.

But the million $ Questons is:decision:

"Will those who have been earning more 'KimbaLam'
than their 'chambaLam' agree to do this???

We can celebrate anyday for any reason!

Very soon we will be celebrating the crumbling-of-the-glass-roof in Chennai Air port. Already it has celebrated its Golden jubilee.

So The centnary celebraion can not be far off!

The contract seems to have become perpetual or eternal or perennial!

No one has been injured seriously till now (I hope)

That makes everybody happy ...

some beacuse they make the headlines and

the others becuse they make a neat profit!

Teaching Fine arts has become (or became known to me as being) very very costly.

The little girl who is yet to learn the Jatiswaram/ Varnam/ javali/ thillaanaa will go on stage today along with 29 others!!!

The fees charged for organizing this programme from each child is merely 30K!!! :faint:

All they get in return is a costume for keepsake and a make up kit to be returned after the programme.

I never knew it is so easy to make a neat sum free of income tax and asssociated problems.

And this is in addition to the ususal monthly fees which itself is a rip-off!

AAI has decided to demolish and rebuild both domestic and international terminals. There are many airports built and not used, berlin and five in spain which can be dismantled and used for the new airport.

And once these girls go on the stage they will be dropped like hot potatoes by their teachers - since they will not be of much use to them any more -
now that the fleecing has already been done! :(

I can understand and tolerate Airports which are built and ready but are not being used.

But Airport which are being used crumbling on the heads of the passengers....:scared:
