Think or sink!

The so called comedy scenes running round the clock drive me nuts.

The amount of noise the actors make with everyone screaming their heads off and everyone talking at the same time. These are not my ideas of humor.

Real good humor does not require any language. It is the situation and the unseen development that make real humor.

Here are two samples of the comedy based on the

Golden silence rather than the vociferous nonsense.

The three generations of men....

The Beagle boys
The grand kids who love to wear the horizontally striped T shirt in black and White. :baby: :baby:

The Bagle Boy
The father who owns a guillotine to slice the Bagel into two exact halves! :scared:

The Bugle Boy
The grand father who can put a bugle to shame when he blows his nose. :horn:

THE VIKRAM - VETAAL STORY OF THE 21ST CENTURY!!! :faint:

May all those lecture on virginity learn a lesson from this! :amen:

If the mother of the girl and the father of the boy HAD NOT married after they were born,

the love affair would NOT have been wrong - since their parents were indeed different people. :(

Human life is so uncertain! :(
When the time comes to take off, any small reason is good enough.
The wife of our family doctor who herself was a doctor took off suddenly yester night... giving very little notice.
The news was so shocking that we had to cross verify to make sure that no one playing a weird practical joke.
Now that almost all our children are N.R.I s the rituals will take place as soon as they can manage to arrive in India.
The mother of the doctor 90+ is still hale, healthy and independent!
How sad it must be to see an youngster take off before the elders do!!! :tsk:

The kuttip pattar wearing a dhothi ( and no tops)
looks so much like Master Tarun Raman!
His other name is Spoon kutty.
Give him a dozen colorful plastic spoons
and he can play with them quietly for a long time!:baby:

I was under the impression that ONLY actresses pass on their own children as their own siblings in their circle. Now it appears that anyone who feels as important as the actors do will do the same thing.
So 'Amma' becomes 'Akka' and 'paatti' becomes 'Amma'
Ammammaa! Very convenient for everyone concerned.

One thing leads to another...always!
Just to avoid constipation and the subsequent straining for bowel movements
after my husband's prostrate surgery, I was cooking Paalak spinach on alternate days.
It has resulted in the presence of Calcium Oxalate crystals in the Urine.
Good thing we came to know about it before it started forming stones,
pillars and buildings inside the body.
It is very true that anything in excess is bad for health!

There was a music teacher who would go to the houses of her rich students to teach music.

She suffered from acidity problem. The benevolent parents of her students offered her a cup of milk after the class was over.

She downed the milk eagerly until she got cured of the acidity problem and reached the proportions of a Jersey cow!

She forgot that for her milk was a medicine and not a staple diet!

Some people are extremely conscious of their calorie consumption.
They keep track of their diet, weight, physical activities meticulously.
The calories used up by us
in running > in walking > in standing > in sitting > in lying down > in sleeping.
I do not know where the climbing up and down the stairs figures in this list.
Logically it must figure in between running and walking
- unless it is running on the stairs, in which case it will figure in the list as the very first item !

Drinking ice cold water helps to reduce weight in the long run! Surprising isn't it? It seems the body heat used up to bring the water to body temperature slowly adds up and help to shed weight in the long run!

Then human brain is supposed to read only the first alphabet and the last alphabet..so for a moment I was shocked to see this word cos I misread it to a similar word which starts with V and ends with A and has a G in between!LOL

Dear Renu,
Most of the time we are only scanning when we read and also while on the road.
We take more time to read less familiar languages and subjects. Our scanning will not be of much help there - because of the lack of familiarity!
I always recognize a familiar a face even among the hundreds of faces I come across while traveling on the road. It is as though the faces seen on the road are compared with the known faces until a perfect match is found!
Human brain works in an incredible speed.
As for the you-know-what-word, I still remember the 'lady' who offered to exhibit it to prove her gender to the general public tens of thousands strong:scared:
Wonder what she would have done to prove her other assets and merits! :fear:

I visited a flat where money had flowed like water in the interior decoration.

The owner is a gold shop owner. At present the happiest people are those

who do business in gold. The hall had false ceiling, concealed lighting as in

the movie theaters. The L shaped sofa set was a designer sofa which had

made to the order of the customer. The modular kitchen was more

colorful than a magpie. The purple and lavender combination dazzled

everywhere. The door of all the wood work looked like chess boards. The

sheet used to cover the wood was not a chess board design. The black and

white pieces were individually cut and fixed in a laborious process.

AND that is NOT all! The people who live there are still dissatisfied since the

final result is not up to their expectations.

1. Already the ceiling is very low.Where is the need of a three layered false ceiling???

2. The living area inside the flat is ~ 600 sq feet. Where is the need for a

seven seater sofa set in L shape, making it difficult to be transported or even

kept outside to make the hall free for any special occasion.

3. The chess board pattern dominated everything in the room and had a

psychedelic effect on the viewers. :dizzy:

4. The pink and lavender may look cool of a baby's frock or a lady's sari but

it was most unsuitable for the modular kitchen.

Neutral colors and pastel colors add space virtually and are easy on the

eyes.

Never try to transport fabric color combination on the walls and doors!

Thanks to my dear younger sister who made me watch the special discussion

about the prevailing leg / knee pain in the young ladies now a days.

It has a positive note throughout the discussions. I liked it very much!

It is not like once you develop the pain you are doomed for ever.:nono:

The pain is reversible if the person is young and willing to exercise. :thumb:

The pain can be treated successfully without the drastic surgical methods.

The pain can be controlled by eating right, the right kind of food items

and drinking 3 liters of liquids to keep the body well hydrated.

Some women do not have any pain - even when their joints appear worn out

This becomes possible since they have made their leg muscles strong.

The way of walking pinpoints the likely victims in a later age/ stage.

Using the joints and muscles prevents further decay of the joints.

We NEVER lose what we use REGULARLY.

Last but not the least, the doctors voiced in unison

what my doctor father had been telling me always.

The surgery must figure in our thoughts ONLY when the person has reached

such a stage that walking has become impossible and even daily activities

are impossible.

Instead of goading people to get operated in the nearest hospitals, all the

doctors had a very mature, realistic and moderate approach.

Hats off to the team for inspiring and encouraging women to go on with life

without worrying, whimpering, whining and weeping! :clap2:

th

Another interesting thing I learned today is that human feet are usually sligtly diverging. But for some strange reason many Indian women have parallel feet and some even have feet converging at a distant point.

This makes us naturally susceptible to knee problems in later life.

Add to this, hysterectomy, thyroid problems, obesity, diabetes, flat feet without any arches and a sedentary life style....:bump2:

You have the perfect woman patient with this persisting problem! :tsk:

Toned/ skimmed Milk and butter milk help by providing the calcium our body needs. Tamarind and all sour food are prohibited in excess amounts.
