Never say "Never again!" :nono:

You will have to eat your own words sooner than you think!
Never say, "I will do or die"! :moony:

In all probability the chances will favor the second choice rather than the first. :(

Shhhh ! Everything and everyone is listening from everywhere, all the time :ear:

Decide to get something done by an appointed time and immediately

everything will get modified to make sure that it CAN NOT take place. :hand:

I said I wanted to complete Sriman Naaraayaneeyam before Dasara.

That is before 13th Inst or tomorrow a Tuesday.

Ever since then the Internet has become as elusive as The God Almighty.

It sure is there ...but unseen and unavailable!

So I decided to complete typing Naaraayaneeyam before doing the daily posting -

to which my P.C and the Internet have NO Objection whatsoever. :)

I have just completed typing and hope to get them posted in time before tonight.

What we take up as hobbies to kill time later become so powerful and addictive that

they decide to kill our time as well our very spirits! :fear:

AND the thatha who was after me - with a blunt wooden sword goading me to post the dasakams left out -
has all the fresh posts made everyday delivered his own personal mail box since
he is following me or rather my Naaraayaneeyam blog.
Not a peep out of him since I started catching up with 48 dasakams which were left out initially! :ranger:

விசையுறு பந்தினைப் போல் உள்ளம்

வேண்டிய படிசெலும் உடல் கேட்டேன்.

I asked for this but see who has got it instead of me!

10 - 30 A.M to 12-00 noon will be spent in the temple doing Lalitha sahasranaama paaraayana and

pooja. Daily Posting will be done afternoon. Kindly bear with me for this during the next 10 days!

I thank the readers (who may not belong to this forum)

for the increased traffic in the Devi Bhaagavatam blogs!:pray2:

I have an eye to locate the out-of-the-ordinary-people .....
both the most excellent and the weirdest!

This was man was slim, tall, very fair, and had a Brahma tejas in his face. In a temple, he was doing the Lalita Sahasranaam kunkuma archanai followed by Laitha Trisathi.

I asked him where he was employed. He had been a top official in the marketing side and has given up the lucrative job in favor of vaidheekam.

If you think that he did it to earn more stress-free-money, you are sadly mistaken. He performs the gruha pravesam, aayush homam and other homams ONLY to the non Brahmins. AND No demands for the dashiNa.

Whatever they think is right and whatever they can afford to part willingly will be his fees.

He said," There are many priests to help the Brahmins families but most of them refuse to do pooja for the Non brahmins. So I do the reverse just to help the not so rich people of our society"

It is not only what we do - but the conviction with which we do what we do - which makes us stand out from the lack luster mediocre crowd!

I believe in dealing with a charging bull by holding its horn - not literally but figuratively.
The Auto Pazhanaisamy was going about with a displeased expression and a face like a balloon.
One day I asked him what was his problem and why he was co cross with me.
It made him think and he could not give any valid reason since there was none.
He was tongue tied since he never expected to put this directly question to him.
He said nothing was really the matter and he himself understood the folly of his baseless anger.
So today when I was going to the temple he quickly brought me chair to sit on during the pooja.
I blessed him with the usual "Vaazhga VaLamudan!" and he was happy.
Most misunderstanding are baseless and when given the acid test
of finding the underlying cause crumble into nothingness.

Dasara pooja is taking a shade of status symbol- I am afraid. :(

Yesterday the karthaa bought and brought 108 lotus flowers for the ashothram

It took a lot of time and persons to open the buds and make them look like flowers before offering them to Devi.

The new sari offered was of the same shade as the lotus flowers. The araLi flowers too were exactly of the same shade.

Devi appeared to be seated in a pond filled with lotus flowers.

Many people took Devi's photo with their modern gadgets.

I wish in knew how to upload photos in my posts so that I could have shared something really worthy of being shared.

Today was the day of too many garlands. Only the lemon sized face of Devi was visible. The rest was rows and rows of colorful flower garlands !

The proud M.I.L of the plump smiling bride of the mature son visited the temple for the first time.

She as well her daughter decided to come out of their self imposed house arrest - thanks to the pleasant D.I.L ! :)

I am reminded of the family who arranged for the Bhagavat sevai and were doing everything other than attending it! Man listens to the words spoken out but God listens to the heart hiding behind those spoken words!

Green fingers VS Green eyes!

One who has green fingers makes everything he/ she touches flourish and grow! :)

One who has green eyes makes everything he/ she eyes perish and dwindle down !! :(

Green is cool ONLY when it is in the right place. :thumb:

Green lie (pachchaip poi) is the unmitigated lie! :lie:

There are people who are willing to sacrifice one of their eyes

if that would make the other person lose both the eyes!

Every good fortune is resented and every misery celebrated!!!

Now they deserve to be conferred the title and the crown for being the Scum Lords! :drama:

Believe me when I say that they often form an integral part in our life and can't be cut off so easily!

If Mohammad can't go to the mountain, the mountain will come to Mohammad.

It did today when all the ladies in the temple were invited to a house to receive Dasara taamboolam.

The house was on the second floor and there is no lift.

I declined the offer since I am forbidden from climbing the stair cases.

Lo and behold the sweet lady rushed to her house - before the other ladies can reach her house -

and brought me the things which she was planning to give to the ladies who visit her house.

Most people specify the day/date and time when we can visit them. :clock:

It may sound very official but we must not forget the fact that

they too have to visit the houses of their friends during these 10 days!

During the Varalakshmi pooja on Aaadi Velli one of my friends

would not take my "NO" when she invited me to her house.

I somehow managed to climb up and down the two + two flights of stairs.

But for four days after that my legs were as tender as if I had climbed the Pazhani Malai!

So even a good-natured-mandu like me becomes wise after the event - even if not before it!

Some people do not like to have people visiting/ staying in their house. Not because their house is small but because their mind is narrow. They accommodate their own siblings and their spouses willingly but not the siblings of their spouses and their spouses! இடம் இருந்தால் உள்ளத்தில்... இடம் இருக்கும் இல்லத்தில்!!!
