[h=1]வர்ண ஜாலங்கள்[/h]

கொடுமைகள் நிறைந்த ஒன்று;

மஞ்சள் வர்ணம் மிக மங்களகரம்;

தியாகத்தின் நிறமே சிறந்த காவி;

வாழ்வில் பங்கு என்பதை அறிவோம்;

A colorful poem on Colors! :)

rainbow-colors.jpg

A SPECTRUM OF COLORS.

A rainbow decorates the sky and makes it look beautiful. In the same way a spectrum of colors add beauty and attractiveness to our daily life.

A person with a pure heart is said to have a heart as-white-as a swan. Evil persons like the Kamsan of MahAbAratA and MandarA of RAmAyanA are said to have hearts as-black-as the pitch darkness.

Blue sky and blue sea bring peace of mind to the beholder and makes him calm and composed. But a blue film is said to destroy the mental peace of a person and disturb him very badly.

Yellow is the color of auspiciousness. A face washed with the yellow turmeric powder glows like gold. Wedding invitations used to be printed in yellow papers. So too the declaration of bankruptcy of a person.

Green color has a cooling effect. Growing plants and new born babies can give a person the same amount of joy – since they grow everyday and excite our minds. We avoid persons who give a green-signal for vulgar and lewd talk without any inhibitions.

Redness of the face and reddened eyes denote the terrible anger in a person. But the reddened hand denoted the hard work done by the person and his liberality in donating to the others.

Red ocher is the color of clay. It is the color worn by sanyAsis – who have conquered their minds and renounced the world. It is the color of ThyAgam and vairAgyam. The temple walls painted with red ocher and white colors have an unparalleled beauty.

Colors play an important part in our everyday life and in our moods. Color can display a mood and it can also create a mood. Any interior decorator will lend authenticity to this statement!

Let us use colors wisely and make the most of their beneficial effects.

Dear VR ji,

Yesterday I saw 2 beautiful rainbows..just like in the pic but two instead..one above the other..it was indeed beautiful too see 2 rainbows in a sky..a rare sight. In fact many people stopped their cars to take pics.

BTW I feel this white heart and black heart definitions makes no sense.

Technically the heart is a reddish colored muscle and no one has a white or a black heart.

The white is pure and black is evil concept is not healthy cos that would also lead to skin color discrimination.

White is presence of all colors ..on the other hand black is not even a color..black is absence of light.

When light is absent one becomes afraid of the dark and starts to imagine evil lurking behind the screen of darkness.

So the evil is only in our mind and no where else.

But whatever said and done a black garment lends an aura that no color can match.Black is sexy.

dear Renu,
There can be no black or white hearts. but these colors are symbolic
Since white is a mixture of all colors and does not create fear, it is welcomed.
Black is the absence of all color and it is feared because of the unknown dangers that may hide in it.
No more than this to this association of colors and characteristics.
Even in the dances and dramas the evil rakshasa are dressed in BLACK OR BLACK AND RED COMBINATION.
That is the reason why dancers do not wear black colored costumes - unless they want to merge with the darkness to create special effects like in this presentation.

I met this young boy (10 years?) during my morning walk.

He was very different from the other boisterous boys seen around
who keep playing cricket from morn to night.

He was talking to himself or so it appeared.

When I asked him about it he said that
he was saying his morning prayers.

He had a small red chaanthu pottu - which I am sure
all the other boys and many other girls will to have.

He is very sober and serious and always immersed in thoughts.

I was delighted when I learned that his name is Sivaguru
and not Aakaash or Anil or Chaturvyooha! :)

He smiles at me and greets me when ever we meet since then.

He will be going to the gate to get into his school vehicle
and I will be returning home after the morning walk.

The gentleman had a daughter and a son.
The daughter got married hoping that she will be a housewife.
But she has taken up a job now, since she lives in a joint family.
The son had an lucrative job with an attractive pay.
But he left the job and on one glorious day all of a sudden
joined the Hare Krishna movemet,.
The father had buit a sprawling house for himself and the first floor for his son.
Now the rent of the first floor helps him to meet his expenses-
instead of the son for whom it was built.
Truly Man proposes and God opposes/ disposes it!

I came across three brothers and was much amazed how
they behaved exactly in the same manner under similar situations!

1. This vociferous man wanted to possess the ancestral property worth several crores of rupees cheating his two sisters (who had taken care of their mother while he was working in USA).

2. The friend of the vociferous man who found fault with him for cheating his sisters
BUT is doing exactly the same thing now under exactly a similar situation.

3. The B.I.L of the vociferous man is now trying to cheat his sisters
( one of which is the wife of the vociferous man) while disposing the ancestral house.

Every man is just and lawful when his interests are NOT involved.

Otherwise they are all "Ore kuttaiyil ooRina maataigaL" :(

Do you know everybody likes to wear a black dress???

He/ she will appear fairer by sheer comparison!!! :decision:

"KaRuppu thaan enakkup pidichcha kalaru!"

Dear VR ji

Black does not suit everyone.

If one is too fair or too dark..one should stay away from wearing black colored garments.

Usually those with a tan skin and well defined features look best in black.

Zorro(Antonio Banderas) for example:

VRji

Why this preference for silvery beards?

There is no harm in admiring good looking youngsters like shahrukh or salman khan.

dear Mr. krish,
What is so great about these young (only 50 years old !)
muscular hunks looking good and being handsome?
These 3 silvery beards and crowns have grown old gracefully! :thumb:
I was surprised when the couple of 4 decades friendship told me that,
I have never looked so good as I do with my silver hair!
(May be they told me a white lie to make me feel better!) :lie:

A real life paradox!

One's beard is at least 20 years younger than the hair on the head.

Then how come the beard grays before the hair on the head does?
Answers are :welcome: from those who have a chance to grow a beard!

No beard here but from what I have observed! :spy:
The part which is used more gets grey hairs first! :first:

There are two types of people; those who rack the brain and those who grind more in the mouth!

Also, hair coloring is easier and safer on the doom!!

Some guys know how to color their hair in a natural way!

Excellent Mrs. Raji Ram! :clap2:

The part which is used MOST, MUST become old earlier!

The lower jaw is useful not only in grinding food but also in talking! :blah:

Small wonder the beard grows gray first and fast ...

thanks to the twin assignments given by God. :hail:

Most people do not/ can not think. :loco:

They can safely sport hair in black UNLESS the hair decides

to depart starting from its original parting!...:bolt:

'Dome' is doomed to be colored until the scalp starts showing through the lacy hair.

Very nice. wishing you the same.

Today is also the birthday of Guru Nanak.

Everyday during the past month , sikh folks have been on the roads early morning reciting from their holy book waking us up at 5 AM.

It is like margazhi bhajanai in south.
