Three kinds of smiles I witnessed today:

1. Two youngsters were smiling in a ridiculing way at the elders standing in the counter. I gave them a piece of my mind on "Maa kuru youvana garvam' in a language they understand :moony:

2. The staff member who made me sit and did all the running around on my behalf.
I liked his kind smile and inherent respect for the elders. God bless him! :amen:

3. The little baby who was hardly 4 months old and who looked like a BIG rose flower
smiled at me as if she had known me all along as a household member. :dance:

Smiles are good - so long as they are NOT contaminated with sneer or jeer.

Thank God for the small mercies.... Power has returned and hence I could sit in front of my PC! :ranger:

Though we have an inverter to have a few lights during power cuts, we don't use the computer.

Hmmmmmmmm... I think normalcy will return in my sweet home by this evening! :D

Aadhaar card.

This is assumed to be the aadhaaram of our very living. Yet many people known to me and unknown to me live quite well and free of hassles without this Aadhaar to say the least.:couch2:

The closest blood relative after my own father flew into a temper when I asked for the attested copy of his Aadhaar as a proof for his address for some important document.

His wife did veLichchappadu ( very similar to saami aadaRathu in colloquial terms) and fainted in the kitchen, luckily without cracking her skull. :hail:

She does that all the time since she could not control her tongue or temper! But it will be anyone but her who gets blamed for her scintillating repeated performances! :rant:....:faint:

Fearing that I might be held responsible and blamed for more similar episodes which I did not cause, I have cut off from them completely. :bolt:

Yet I find that the photo given in the card looks like anything but oneself and apparently the finger prints taken by them do not tally with those taken by the other agencies. :shocked:

What kind of a Aadhaar is this - promising us unique id??? :(

In ordinary course we keep issuing and submitting our KYC documents (identity and residential proofs..such as PAN card, electricity bill etc.) to various people. For housing or car or other loans, bank accounts,or even for buying new sim card we submit these documents.

At almost all these places they ask for self certification on these documents. We immediately sign those documents and hand over. Just imagine your self certified copies are freely available in the hands of such persons & those documents can be used by him for EVERYTHING!

It is really serious and its been seen that in most of the terrorist activities, KYC documents are sourced from the SIM card sellers.

Hence, please inculcate a 'HABIT' of writing the date and purpose for which you are submitting the self certified KYC Documents so that those documents cannot be used again.

Please share this as much as possible Forwarded as I felt it's very important to write the date and purpose, which we never do while submitting KYC documents.

Hereafter please sign as given below:

1..........signature
2..........Date
3.........Purpose
4.........and not to be used for other purpose

A Good Suggestion?

 
Thank God! The tongue print is NOT included in Aadhaar authentication! :hail:

If the unchangeable finger prints do not match no one can say what will happen to the tongue prints - before and after eating you-know-what!!!

The advice is "Update the finger print online" HOW???

Correction in the name, D.O.B, address and other such details can be corrected online. But finger prints????

The easy solution is "Go and get anew Aadhaar card!"

and have two I.D s in this so called unique I.D ??? :faint:

Dear VR ji,

Remember I made Chia seeds payasam and shared the recipe?

Ok now I made a new dish with Chia seeds again and its simply delicious!LOL can't help praising my own cooking.

This recipe calls for Chia seeds ,unsweetened evaporated milk, honey,raisins and Hibiscus Sabdariffa plant calyx.

Firstly I soaked 2 tablespoon heap of Chia seeds in 250 ml of water and left overnite in fridge to swell.

Once it swells it become gel like and resembles sago a little.

Hisbiscus Sabdariffa is also known as Roselle plant..it is actually a species of Hibiscus and once the flower has fallen on a ruby red calyx( as shown in the pic here) is left behind and this calyx can be boiled to make juice and jam.

I made the Hibiscus jam by boiling it in a little water and then added raisins.

After it had cooled down only then I add honey to it to make it tasty cos Hisbiscus Sadba is very sour otherwise.

Then I take out the chia seeds from the fridge and cook it slowly over a low heat for 5 mins.

Let it cool down.

When you want to eat it..add a scoop or two of Hibiscus jam into the Chia seed gel and pour unsweetened evaporated milk over it to have it as a pudding.

It taste wonderful ..milky..sweet and sour.

You experiment in fancy dishes and come up with exotic preparations.
I wish I could taste some of the dishes discovered by you.
I have heard the combination Hot and Sweet as in Ketchup.
First time I am hearing the combination of sweet and sour pudding! :)

Death may be an equalizer but it had better
NOT be used for degrading a person ... any person!
Raising oneself to the height of their merit will be very difficult.
So people pull them down to their own level in order to Equalize! :(
