Money is sweeter than honey!

The man worked hard in a gulf country.

Money poured into India like a shower.

An exquisite bungalow was constructed.

His Wife and the children got used to the

luxurious lazy life of the stinking rich.

After many years the man decided

to call it a day and returned to India.

He was shocked beyond words to see

his wife and kids sleep till very late.

He did not relish the way they squandered

his hard earned money.

He found it revolting the way his kids especially

his daughters dressed up.

Whenever he gave them a piece of his mind,

they ganged up and confronted him.

One fine day they told him point blank to

go back to where he had come from.

The reason….???

They had lived peacefully before he returned to India.

The former peace can return only if

he returned to where he had come from!

They ALL wanted only his money BUT NOT him!!!

THAT IS CALLED HUMAN LIFE!!!

To put it in a nutshell...

Mummy goes with the flow.

Daddy wants to control the flow.

So they made the daddy a dummy

and made the mummy very yummy!

A gang of free loaders!!! :mad2:

Most men are in this trap of indulging their wife and children just to satisfy their own ego.

They derive pleasure in making others dependant on them.

Later when wife and children become addicted to a particular way of life, men start acting miserly and start torturing the dependants by cutting down on support.

Who is to be blamed? Men definitely who tried acting the great provider.

Those men/women who go abroad -US , canada etc .
They initially start with study, later on they think they will recover the edu. costs by working for a couple of years.

Then they start chasing various types of visa with the the ultimate green card for which they pass thru intermediate visa.

Back of their mind they think they will return to india.

Since about 12 -15 years -best part of productive life is wasted this way, compromising with the indian way of living in more and more ways they suddenly realise

they cannot fit back in india and their children would not in any case want to return. most then realise , is only for returning to die unwanted in senior

home in india.

dear Mr. Krish,

Life is difficult and human mind is complex!

We will never know when we are wanted
and when we may become unwanted!

As the wise people say, hold on to the
lotus feet of the lord with one hand
and hold on to the world with the other hand.

Even if the world ditches us Lord will NOT!

As a philosophy , we can keep giving our surpluses to a very large circle around us as an insurance for times to come.

We can pray at least some will remember what we have done for them and pay back later when it is needed.

Of course it is not often there is reciprocity.

I many times feel elated when I find someone remembers what I have done for them .

Dear Mr. Krish,
People usually forget the good we have done to them but remember
the smallest trouble we might have caused them unknowingly! :(

what alternatives do they have?

They might as well be happy if they are condemned to it

Dear Mr. krish,
It is NOT a curse to live in a senior citizen's complex. The people living there are of the same age group, share the educational standard and there can be very good companionship in the intellectual level and also in physical level.

I have a neighbor from the colony we lived in 24 years ago. His family joined the community paying a pittance of 6 lakhs for a two bedroom house. They are still living there - without a worry in the world.

His mother lived on to become centurion. I am sure he and his wife will also will live become 100 years + old. I hear that her daughter and Son. I.law have also joined the community - even though the daughter is much younger to me!

The chat-mami (who always crossed swords with me the paattu-mami)
is painting the city in every color other than red.

She fees liberated from bondage after the demise of her husband. She has let out the flat for the same amount she need to pay for the services in the senior citizen's complex.

Her one room home costs only 10 lakh rupees. She is having the golden period of her life - visiting temples, attending lectures/ concerts in the conpany of some other mamis with equal amount of superfluous energy and having similar interests!

The best gifts I got recently from my S.I.L with love are
a small container of thaazhampoo kumkum and string of jasmine flowers.

The fragrance of the flower and the scent of the kumkum is almost mesmerizing.

I will make sure that i will continue to apply the kumkum in my forehead everyday hereafter!

The 'thirumanthiram specialist Telugu thatha' and his wife gave us a surprise visit yesterday.

It was a real surprise for them also to find me with top knotted towel resembling Narada's kondai!.

The patti gave me a lovely tray filled with goodies like coconuts, fruits, cash, flowers, thaalich charadu, kumkum, turmeric, a lovely mirror with a handle and a matching comb.

What have I done to deserve this kind of affection from them ...I am not aware of.

While the others are scheming "ethai ellam ivaLidam irunthu kiLappalam!"
(= what all can I fleece before this lady leaves India?)
these people think of what all they can give me instead.

I am reminded of the famous words of president Kennedy.

“Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”

John F. Kennedy

The other Telugu paatti I know has given me lovely double shaded sky blue sari with a wide white zari border (as Devi's prasaadam) for stitching a new travel sadi-chudi-dress-set! The sari is so long that I will get two tops + the pyjama+ shawl!!!

I could NOT help comparing the cheap saris given (even those without any pallu or thalaippu ) given by some close relatives! :(

:ohwell: (Intha-moonjikku-ithuve-jaasthi-attitude???) :noidea:

Many women feel liberated when their husband pass away.

My close relation -a TB lady sumangali used to be jealous of widows who according to her were free to do what they want with their life without a care and she felt

stifled and constrained being married .lol

Dear VR ji,

That is why we have to forget the good we have done to people and only remember the bad we had done knowingly and unknowingly so that we do not repeat it.

Dear Mr. krish,
Human Mind is mysterious.
Human Relationships are also mysterious!!!
We don't know what is really liberation and what is bondage.
These free willed women have to do everything by themselves
or depend on dubious characters for help who may take advantage out of it.
Unless they have their own children who are loving and dependable
the plight of these these free willed women is sad indeed!

LOL!

dear Renu,
Sorry for disappointing you dear. :)
May be you expected some sizzling story like that of Rustom!
In that case the 'lover' and the 'loved' would have got killed,
the hubby would have landed in jail unless he gets hanged,
and his children will surge ahead in life unchecked!

Make-up Mathematics!

When people dye their hair, they look up to

twenty years younger than their real age.

They are happy to have defied the aging process!

But those twenty years lie, in an ambush, waiting to get back.

Once the hair-dyeing is stopped those twenty years pounce back and

make the person look twenty years older than his /her real age!!!
Can we name this as The Law of Conservation of Age??? :decision:

True Love!

The conceited wife tried to shake off her husband. :boink;

But he held on to her like a leech.

When his friend told him,

“I am sure you love your wife too much!”

The man replied in a solemn voice,

“No! I love my house too much!”

He knew that if ever they get divorced,

she will get his money, house and his car.

He will get his coat, hat and a boot. :(

I know how it feels when A good Sleep in not written in your good fortune!

Instead of a sound sleep it often becomes a sleep filled with sounds!

One day it may be a crashing sound of the carom coins at 11 P.M.

On another day it may the foot ball bouncing down from the third floor at midnight! There are three future-football-stars living in our building!

Or it might be the little urchins banshees let loose at midnight - by their loving and considerate parents - to scream and run around the premises !!!

You could have felled me with a feather when a good friend as well as a good Samaritan asked me for

the translation of Ramayana, Maha Bhaarata and Bhagvata Gita in English.

He believes in another faith and belongs to another religion.

I could not help wondering how many of us will care to read/ study Bible or Quran!

We are famous for avoiding reading books on our own scriptures! :(

இது எப்படி இருக்கு??

நெருப்பின் அருமை குளிரில் தெரியும்.

சோலையின் அருமை பாலையில் தெரியும்.
தோழியின் அருமை விலகுவதில் தெரியும். :(
