54. பக்தனின் பக்தன்.



நாபாகன் என்னும் மன்னனின் மகன்,
நானிலம் புகழும் மன்னன் அம்பரீசன்.
பிராமண சாபத்தை வென்று, புகழ் பெற்ற
பரம பாகவதன், பக்தன், ஞானி, அரசன் .

பக்தியுடன், சம நோக்கும் கொண்டு,
யுக்தியுடன் அரசாண்டு வந்தவனின்
விவேக, வைராக்கியங்களைக் கண்டு,
விஷ்ணு அளித்தார் தன் சுதர்சனத்தை.

பகைவர்களிடமிருந்து கணம் தவறாது,
பாதுகாத்து வந்தது சுதர்சனச் சக்கரம்.
பசுதானமும், துவாதசி விரதமும் செயும்
விசுவாச அரசனிடம் துர்வாசர் வந்தார்!

உணவு உண்ண அழைத்ததும், முனிவர்
உணவுக்கு முன்பு நீராடச் சென்றார்.
விரதம் முடிக்கும் வேளை வரவே,
அரசன் தண்ணீரைப் பருகி முடித்தான் .

தம் ஞான திருஷ்டியால் கண்ட முனிவர்,
தம் கோபம் பொங்கி எழ, அக்கணமே
ஏவினார் அவனை அழித்துவிட, ஒரு
பேயினை ஜடையில் தோற்றுவித்து.

ஊழித்தீயைப்போல அழிக்க வந்த பேயை,
ஆழிச் சக்கரம் சினந்து அழித்துவிட்டது.
ஓட ஓட விரட்டிச் சென்று, முனிவரை
ஓடச் செய்தது மூவுலகமும், சுதர்சனம்.

பிரமனைச் சென்று அடைந்தார் முனிவர்.
பிரமனோ நாரணனை அஞ்சுபவர் அன்றோ?
கைலாசம் சென்றாலும் பலன் இல்லையே!
கைலாசபதியும் நாரணனிடமே அனுப்பினார்.

நாராயணணும் கை கொடுக்கவில்லையே!
“நான் செய்வது ஒன்றுமில்லை முனிவரே!
பக்தனின் பக்தன் நான் என்று நீர் அறியீரா?
பக்தனின் பாதம் சென்று பற்றுங்கள்” என்றான்.

காலடியில் வீழ்ந்த பெருந்தவ முனிவரின்
கோலம் கண்டு மனம் பதைத்த மன்னன்,
சக்கரத்திடம், “இவரை விட்டு விடு!” என,
சக்கரமும் அங்கிருந்து அகன்று சென்றது.

பிராமணசாபம் என்றால் உலகே அஞ்சும்!
பிராமணரையே அஞ்ச வைத்த ஒருவன்,
சாபத்தை வென்று, இறைவனின் நல்ல
நாமத்தின் புகழை நிலை நிறுத்தினான்.

8. வணங்கா முடிகள்.



முன்பு சில கோவில்களின் அர்ச்சகர்கள்,
திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளாது இருந்தனர்;

அன்புடன் அரசன் அவர்களை அழைத்தாலும்,
வரும்படி அவனையே அவர்கள் பணிப்பார்கள்.

ஆத்ம பலம் மிகுந்திருந்ததால், அவர்கள்
அஞ்சவில்லை அரசனின் ஆணைகளுக்கு.

அரசனும் வேண்டும்போது எல்லாம்
பரம பணிவுடன் தானே சென்று வந்தான்.

கல்யாணம் அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டதும்,
கதை தலை கீழாய் மாறிவிட்டது அங்கே!

முண்டி அடித்துக் கொண்டு அவர்கள்
முன் நிற்பார், அரசனைக் காண வேண்டி.

குடும்பம் பெருகிவிடவே, அவர்களின்
வரும்படி போதவில்லை போலும்.

கொடுக்கும் பிரசாதங்களுக்கு அரசனிடம்
கொடைகள் கேட்டாயினும் பெறலாயினர்.

வணங்கா முடிகள் முழுவதுமாக மாறி,
வணங்கும் முடிகள் ஆன விந்தையை

எண்ணி எண்ணி வியந்து சிரித்தான்,
மண்ணை ஆளும் சிறந்த மகாராஜன்.

55. மாயக் கண்ணன்.



கோபாலனுக்குப் பிடித்த உணவுகள்,
பால், தயிர், வெண்ணை இவைதானே!
கட்டித் தயிர்ச் சாதமும், அதற்குத்
தொட்டுக் கொள்ள ஊறுகாயும்தானே!

மாடு மேய்க்கச் செல்லுவதே, கூடித் தன்
மற்ற நண்பர்களுடன் உண்பதற்காகவே!
ஒரு பிடிச் சாதம், ஒரு கடி ஊறுகாய்!
ஒரு அமிர்தமும் ஈடாகாது அன்றோ?

மண் மேட்டில், யமுனா நதித் தீரத்தில்,
நண்பகல் வேளையில் உணவு உண்ண,
கன்று, மாடுகள் கண் காணாது சென்றுவிட
தன் நண்பரை விட்டுச் சென்றான் கண்ணன்.

திரும்பி வந்தால், மாயமாகி இருந்தனர்,
அருமை நண்பர்கள் அனைவருமே!
மாடு, கன்றுகளும் போனவைகளே;
தேடியும் கிடைக்கவில்லை எவையுமே!

மாயக் கண்ணனுக்கு, இது ஒரு சவாலா?
மாயப் பசுக்களாகவும், கன்றுகளாகவும்,
எத்தனை நண்பர்கள் காணவில்லையோ,
அத்தனை பேர்களாகவும் உருவெடுத்தான்.

என்றைக்கும் விட அன்றைக்கே அங்கு,
அன்பு ஆறு பெருக்கெடுத்து ஓடியது.
அண்ணன் பலராமன் கூடச் சற்றும்
அறியவில்லை, இந்த மாற்றங்களை!

ஒரு நாள் பிரமனது உலகில் எனில்
ஓராண்டு ஆகிவிடும் நம் உலகில்!
ஓராண்டு காலம், மாயக்கண்ணன் இந்த
ஓரங்க நாடகத்தை நடத்தி வந்தான்!

பிரமன் மறுநாள் பார்த்து, முற்றும்
பிரமித்து, மதி மயங்கி நின்றான்.
தான் மறைத்த அத்தனை பேர்களும்,
தன் கண் முன், பூலோகத்திலேயே!

அனைத்தும் அக்கண்ணனே என்றதும்,
மலைத்துபோய், விழுந்து வணங்கினார்.
“அகந்தையால் அறிவிழந்தேன்; நான்
அறியவில்லை, உம் மகிமைகளை.

பக்தியால் மட்டுமே அறியவல்லவரே!
பக்தியைத் தாரும்” என்று வேண்டினார்.
பிரமனின் மாயைகள் செல்லுமா, நம்
பிரமாண்ட நாயகன், கண்ணனிடம் ?

2012 in review

So after months of waiting period my husband finally got the doctor's appointment today, to become his NEW patient.

The Hospital was a mini city!

The nurses seem to be made of butter and cream and given a voice as sweet as honey! :love:

They serve with a smile which makes their job and our much easier!

The patients seen there were an assortment of each imaginable afflictions.

Some were on the wheel chairs and some had legs only down to their knees!

Some pulled along a small wheeled cart with an oxygen cylinder attached by a tube in their nostrils;

Some others with a catheter to drain their urine into a bottle kept in the cart.

Most of the women had difficulty in walking and they were both top heavy and mountainous .

Most men had flowing hair both in the front and in the back of their head!

They pushed along a walker with a dual purpose. It can become a seat if they want to rest.

It has a break and also a seat.

But the saddest thing was either they came alone or with another person older and heavier than themselves!

If youngsters walked along it was for they OWN SELVES and not to escort or accompany an old and infirm person!

The height of selfishness??? yes! That is the way of life here! :(

did a namaskar (hastaanjali) spontaneously on seeing me! :pray2:

True! ONE should be able to command respect and

NOT demand it as you-know-who is doing here on a national level! :)

44. வரப் பரீட்சை.



செல்வத்தைப் பெற வேண்டிப் பலர்
தெய்வங்களை ஆராதிக்கின்றனர்.
செல்வம் பெற்ற அவர்களே பிறகு
தெய்வங்களை மறந்துவிடுகின்றனர்.

விருகன் என்னும் அசுரன் மிகவும்
விரும்பி விழைந்ததோர் அற்புதசக்தி.
எவர் தலை மீது கையைக் காட்டினாலும்,
அவர் வெந்து சாம்பலாகிவிட வேண்டும்!

“யாரை நான் உபாசனை செய்வது?”
நாரதரை அணுகியவன் கேட்டான்.
“விரைவில் மன மகிழ்ந்து, வேண்டும்
வரம் தருபவர், பாரில் பரமசிவனே”.

கேதார க்ஷேத்திரத்துக்கு விரைந்து
போனான் விருகாசுரன், அன்றைக்கே!
தன் தசைகளை வெட்டி இட்டு, ஒரு
தன்னிகரில்லா ஹோமம் செய்தான்.

ஆறு நாட்கள் கழிந்த பின்னரும்,
ஆண்டவன் அவனுக்கு இரங்கி
வரவோ, அன்றி அவன் கேட்ட வரம்
தரவோ இல்லை! நொந்து போனான்.

ஏழாம் நாள் தன் தலையையே வெட்ட
எத்தனிகையில் தோன்றினார் ஈசன்.
“வினோதமான வரமே இது, எனினும்
விரும்பும் வரம் தந்தோம்” என்றார்.

‘இருக்க இடம் கொடுத்தவரிடம்
படுக்கப் பாய் கேட்பது’ போலவே
வரத்தை சோதிக்க விரும்பியவன்
வரம் தந்த ஈசனையே நாடினான்.

‘அனர்த்தம் விளையுமே’ என்று
அஞ்சியே சிவன் ஓடத் தொடங்க,
‘விட்டேனா பார்’ என்றே கருவிய
விருகனும் பின் தொடர்ந்தான்.

ரட்சிக்கும் கடவுளையே யாரால்
ரட்சிக்க முடியும்? நாம் அறியோம்!
ஓட்டப் பந்தயத்தைப் பார்த்து விட்ட
ஓங்கி வளர்ந்த வாமன ரூபனும்

அழகிய பிரம்மச்சாரியாக அங்கே
அவர்கள் முன்னே தோன்றினான்.
“இவன் சொல்வதையா நம்புகின்றாய்?
இவன் பிசாசுக் கூட்டத்தின் தலைவன்!

சோதித்துப் பார்போம் நாம் இப்போதே!
சொல்வது பொய்யாகிவிட்டால், நாமே
இவனைக் கொன்று விடுவோம். நீயும்
இப்போதுன் தலைமேல் கையை வை.”

இந்த வார்த்தை ஜாலத்தில் மயங்கி,
அந்தக் கணமே தன் தலை மீது தானே
கையை வைத்ததுதான் தாமதம்!
மெய்யாகவே எரிந்து போய்விட்டான்.

தவம் செய்வார்கள் வரங்கள் பெற;
வரங்கள் பெறுவது வாழ்விப்பதற்கா?
தானும் கெட்டு, அடுத்தவனையும்
தான் துன்புறுத்துவதற்காகவா ?

When we are physically present we become part of the scene /the background and we are taken for granted.

No one makes any fuss about us and quite often they do not even register our presence or contributions.

I have been collecting contribution towards the Anna Daana Sangham for Thai poosam for the past 42 years.

This year we sent our own contribution of 15,000 Rs as endowment in the names of my two sons and my husband.

We requested NOT to send us the receipt books and they were not sent as per request.

NOW all the usual donor are missing the collection and making their contributions..

Apparantly they miss me/my songs/ the prasadams made by me in the temple.

May be it is true that, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder!"

I still remember how they used to disturb my soulful singing with many unwanted vibrations and chitchat!
 
It is sheer fun to find that Each great leader has his matching look-alike among the actors and actresses!

I bet people can hardly wait to watch the impersonation of these leaders by these famous female stars!

They met in a Mall – sale,
They were made to a scale!

He was a head-strong male,
She was a delicate female;

He had come from a dale,

விதி என்று ஒன்று இருந்தால்,

விதியை மாற்றி விலக்கிவிட

இரட்டை யமன்களைப் போல
இந்த உலகைத் துன்புறுத்தினர்
இரண்யாக்கன், இரண்யன் என்ற
இரு கொடிய அசுர சகோதரர்கள்.

வராக மூர்த்தியால் கொல்லப்பட்ட
வலிய சகோதரனின் சாவைக் கண்டு,
மரணமே இல்லா வாழ்வு வேண்டிச்
சிறந்த தவம் செய்தான் இரண்யகசிபு.

கரையான் புற்று மூடிய போதும்,
கலையாத சிறந்த தவம் ஒன்று.
விரும்பிக் கேட்டதோ மிகவும்
வினோதமான வரம் ஒன்று.

இரவிலோ அன்றிப் பகலிலோ,
தரையிலோ, ஆகாயத்திலோ,
வீட்டிலோ அன்றி வெளியிலோ,
விலங்கினாலோ, மனிதனாலோ,

உயிருள்ள ஆயுதத்தினாலேயோ,
உயிரற்ற ஆயுதத்தினாலேயோ,
மரணம் தனக்கு நிகழக்கூடாதென,
பரமனிடம் பெற்றான் அரிய வரம்.

மரணமில்லாப் பெருவாழ்வை நம்பி,
"இறைவன் நானே!" என்று அறைகூவி,
பரமனின் பக்தர்கள் எல்லோரையும்
விரோதிகளாகவே எண்ணலானான்.

நேரம் கனிந்ததும், இரண்யகசிபுவை
வேறு உலகுக்கு அனுப்பவேண்டியே,
கூறிய விதிகள் அனைத்தையும் தன்
சீரிய அறிவினால் உடைத்தான், ஹரி!

இரவோ பகலோ அல்லாத சந்திவேளை ,
தரையோ ஆகாயமோ அல்லாத படிக்கட்டு ,
வீடோ வெளியோ அல்லாத வீட்டு வாசல்,
விலங்கோ மனிதனோ அல்லாத உருவம்,

வலிக்காததால் உயிரற்றதும்,
வளர்வதால் உயிருள்ளதுமானக்
கூறிய நகங்களையே அவன் தன்
சீரிய ஆயுதங்களாகக் கொண்டான்.

எத்தனை வரங்களைப் பெற்றாலும்,
பித்தனைப் போல நடந்துகொண்டால்,
நித்தம் நித்தம் பயந்து அஞ்சி, நாம்
அத்தனிடம் தோற்றே ஆகவேண்டும்.

குறைவும், நிறைவும்



குறைவும், நிறைவும் இரு மனப்பாங்குகளே;
குறைந்த, நிறைந்த பொருட்களால் அல்ல;
போதும் என்ற மனமே நிறைவு உடையது,
போதாது என்ற மனம் குறைவு உடையது.

தனக்குள் திருப்தி கொண்ட மனத்தினர்,
நினைத்ததை எல்லாம் வாங்கிக் குவியார்;
தனக்குள் குறையை உணரும் மனிதர், தாம்
நினைத்தை வாங்கி நிறைவு பெற முயல்வர்.

நிறையப் பொருள் உள்ளவர் மேன்மேலும்
நிறையப் பொருட்களை விழைந்திடுவர்.
மனோ வியாதியாகவே மாறிவிடக்கூடிய
மனப் போக்கு அது என்பது உண்மையே.

தினக் கூலியில் பொருட்களை வாங்கியும்,
மனக் கவலை இன்றி வாழ்பவர் உள்ளார்;
அனைத்தும் பெற்றும் அமைதி இழந்து, ஏதோ
நினைத்துப் பொருமும் மனிதரும் உள்ளார்.

தியாகமே அமரத்துவம் அளிக்கும்; இது
திகட்டாது இனிக்கும் ஒரு வேத வாக்கு.
இருப்பவற்றை தியாகம் செய்வது என்பது
விருப்பத்தைத் துறந்தால் மட்டுமே நிகழும்.

மகாத்மா காந்தி ஒரு ஏழைப் பெண்மணி,
மானம் மறைக்க ஆடை இன்றி வாடுவதைக்
கண்டதும், உதறினார் மேலான ஆடைகளை;
துண்டு ஒன்றையே தமது ஆடையாக்கினார்.

குறைந்த ஆடையினால் அவர் பெருமைகள்
குறைந்தனவா? இல்லையே! மாறாக அவர்
தேசத்தின் தந்தையாகி, அமரராகி, உலகில்
நேசத்துடன் இன்றுவரை போற்றப்படுகின்றார்!

குறைவு கொண்ட மனபாங்கை மாற்றி,
நிறைவு கொண்டதாக நாம் ஆக்குவோம்.
தியாகமே மனித உள்ளதைப் பண்படுத்தி,
தீபம் போல் வாழ்வை ஒளிரச் செய்யும்.

தீப் பார்வையால் யவனன் எனும் தீயோனைத்
தீர்த்துக் கட்டிய முசுகுந்தனின் கதை இது.

துவாரகையை நிர்மாணித்த கண்ணன்,
யாவருமே கண்டு அதிசயிக்கும்படியாக,

தன் யோக வலிமையால் குடியேற்றினான்
தன் குடிமக்களை, அந்தப் புதிய நகரத்தில்.

பின்னர் நிராயுத பாணியாகவே நடந்தான்,
அண்ணன் பலராமனுடன், மதுராவிலிருந்து.

யவனன் என்னும் கண்ணனின் வைரியும்,
தனியன் ஆகவே அவனைத் தொடர்ந்தான்.

வேகம் அதிகரித்துக் கண்ணன் விரைந்தால்,
வேகமாகவே யவனனும் பின் தொடர்ந்தான்.

ஒரு குகையில் நுழைந்து விட்டான் கண்ணன்;
இருள் குகையில் யவனனும் பின் நுழைந்தான்.

உறங்கும் ஒரு மனிதனிக் கண்டு, அவன்
உறக்கம் கெடுமாறு அவனை எழுப்பினான்.

எழுந்தவன் விழித்த தீப் பார்வை பட்டு,
எரிந்து சாம்பல் ஆகிவிட்டான் யவனன்.

உறங்கியவனே மன்னன் முசுகுந்தன்.
உலகம் அறியும் மாந்தாதாவின் மகன்.

தேவர்களின் சேனைக்கு அதிபதியாகத்
தேவர்களுக்காகப் போர் செய்து ஓய்ந்தவன்.

வேண்டி அவன் பெற்ற வரம் இது ஒன்றே.
வேண்டும் வரையில் உறங்கவேண்டும்.

உறங்குபவனை எழுப்பி எவரேனும்
உபத்திரவித்தால், சாம்பலாகிவிடுவர்.


உறக்கம் கெட்டுத் தனக்கு உதவிய அந்த

A chocolate vegan cake was brought home by our son, to celebrate the 48th Wedding day of me and my husband .

It was decorated with chocolate frosting and chocolates coated strwberries, blue berries and raspberries.

Kids were so happy that there was a lots of hugging, kissing and proclaiming "I love you!"

We shared half the cake yesterday and have saved the other half to be eaten today.

I could not eat the cake without remembering and feeling sad for the unknown 9 year old child who looked like cherub.

He got beaten to death by the original boy friend of his original mother .

The reason... he ate a piece of cake saved for the original daughter of the original boyfriend (fiend?) of his original mother.

I am sure I can never eat another piece of cake as long as I live without feeling troubled by

the sad remembrance of the unknown cherub like 9 year child who met with such a sad end! :(

The kind of monsters roaming on the face of the earth under the guise of parents!

Here men. women and children just disappear into thin air.

The policy of non-interference and not being nosey may be good.

But it serves the evil mongers more than the good people.

When people just vanish no one is any wiser - except the close family circle.

If the close family is the cause of the disappearance then none but God will know such misdeeds! :pout:
