    [h=3]Giant Crack in Antarctica’s Larsen C Ice Shelf Grew 11 Miles in Just 6 Days[/h] A huge crack in one of Antarctica’s largest ice shelves has grown by another 11 miles, leaving an area of ice a quarter of the size of New Jersey hanging on by a section that is only eight miles long. Scientists with Project Midas, a U.K. based Antarctic research group, have been observing the growing rift on the Larsen C Ice Shelf for the last two years. In January, they said the crack had grown significantly and it was connected to the main ice shelf by 12 miles.

    Scientists may have found evidence of a parallel universe

    The idea that we might be living in just one of an infinite number of universes has been fodder for scientific debate and sci-fi movie plots for a long time, but coming up with evidence to support the theory has been hard to come by. Now, researchers have discovered something in space that they can't quite account for, and one of the possible explanations is that - are you sitting down? - our universe actually bumped into a neighboring, parallel one. When gazing into the heavens, scientists spotted what they refer to as a "cold" area of space. It was observed some time ago, and explaining it proved difficult, but a 2015 study suggested it was merely an area of the universe in which the number of galaxies is dramatically lower than the rest. Unfortunately, subsequent investigations couldn't support that finding, and a new study by Durham University suggests the slim possibility that it's actually evidence of parallel universes is still on the table. The multiverse theory hinges on the idea that all possible outcomes of any given scenario are all playing out at the same time in a layered reality of which we are only experiencing one layer. It's a wild idea that has a foundation in quantum mechanics, but it's also entirely unproven. As the study states, the researchers believe the mysterious cold spot, while still totally unexplained, could actually be "the remnant of a collision between our universe and another 'bubble' universe during an early inflationary phase." In short, if the idea is correct, our early universe collided with another young universe early on, causing something of a "bruise" which we are able to observe today.

கல் நகையணியும் வெறும் காதுகளே!

வனமாலை அணியும் மனம் கவர் கள்வன்
புனைந்த மாலையைப் பெற்று நுகராத,
இரு துவாரம் உடைய நாசியோ, காற்றை
இழுத்து விடுகின்ற இருமான் துருத்தியே.

கமல மலர் அமர்ந்து கருணை பொழியும்
கமலக் கண்ணியைப் பாடிப் பரவாத நாவு,
குவளை மலரிடை அமர்ந்து இரைச்சலிடும்
தவளையின் நீள் நாவுக்கு ஒப்பானதே!

எண் குணத்தானை மனத்தில் நினைத்து
எட்டு அங்கமும் நிலம்பட வணங்காத,
மண்டிய கர்வம் கொண்டவன் தலை
முண்டாசையே தாங்கும் மூளையை அல்ல!

கண் முன் அழகனாய் காட்சி அளிக்கும்
ஷண்முகன் திருவடி வணங்காத கைகள்,
இயக்கமும் இரத்தமும் இழந்து போன
குயவன் செய்த மண் கைகளை போன்றவே!

திருவருள் தேடி அவன் திருவடி நாடி
தீர்த்த யாத்திரை செல்லாத கால்கள்,
விண் முட்ட ஓங்கி வளர்ந்து நிற்கும்
மண்ணில் இருக்கும் மரத்தின் வேர்களே!

தாளாத காதலுடன் அவன் துதி கேட்டு
இளகாத நெஞ்சம் இரும்பு நெஞ்சமே!
கண்ணீர் மல்கி கனியாத மனங்கள்
மண்ணில் வாழ் விலங்குகள் மனமே!

பிறவிப்பயனை அறிந்தோம் இன்று,
பிறவிப் பயனுக்கு முயல்வோம் இன்றே!
“அரிது அரிது மானிடராய்ப் பிறத்தல்,”
அரிதிலும் அரிது விடுதலை அடைதல்!

The doubting Thomas

When the king ascended to power,
On everyone, love, he did shower.

There was a smile like fresh flower,
On the face of everyone in the tower.

But soon all relationships soured;
Making all people appear scoured.

Love got blown out like a powder;
His complaints did become louder!

He sneaked around like a prowler;
Every action resulting in a howler!

Of people's fault he was a counter;

The snug bug in a warm rug!

How I wish I could just shrug
Off the pest as this nasty bug!

May be I needed it to drug
And pull it out with a tug!

It reminds me of a real slug,
Who was happy and smug;

Who felt very cosy and snug,
Though he was a real thug!

He would often people mug;
He loved to produce a chug;

He had the face of a pug;
Funny he craved for a hug!

I use the tiny Tea light while praying to God. We are not allowed to leave open flame unattended. The whole house is made of wood and nothing inside is fire proof. So here people are really scared of any flame and also smoke.

The tea lights look tiny but can burn for more than 4 hours. They come in packs of 100 and are very affordable. A pack of 100 will easily last of one year.

The tea light holders are available in many colours, many designs and made of many different materials.
 
A woman lived in utter poverty. She just had a small piece of cloth to cover body and protect her modesty. She rarely went out so as to be seen by the people around her. One day she had to go out to get some firewood.
She has worn her cloth covering the lower half of her body.

All of a sudden the King and his men happened to pass by. She pulled out her cloth and tried to cover her upper part of the body now. The king and his men got annoyed that she had showed them disrespect. She was promptly arrested and brought for trial. She was given some clothes before she had to appear in a court filled with the richest men of the country.

The king demanded to know why she insulted him and his men by exposing her genitals.

The woman replied in the most honest tone. "The first thing everyone looks at when a child is born is its genitals. So there is nothing new there for anyone to see and to get shocked or annoyed. But the breasts develop much later and no woman is supposed to expose them to any men. That is why I decided to cover the upper part of my body to show my respect to you and your men oh king!"

Now the rat race is how to expose everything except the three important and sensitive buttons in the body - with dresses made with windows, doors, curtains, slits and lattice or transparent nets and sheers. :doh:

P.S.
The belly button is NOT included in the three sensitive buttons mentioned above! :(

உலக வாழ்வில் முன்னேற விரும்புவோர்களின்,

All the people 60+ will have definitely two D.O.B... the official and the real!!!

These two dates may vary by anything up to 2 years.

Just to admit the naughty child in the school, the real age used to be raised to the eligible age for admission in a school.

Those days no one insisted on SEEING the original birth certificate. The word by mouth was good enough.

So today is my real D.O.B!!

I just completed 7 decades and am entering 70+. But my official age is nearly 72!

Today is one of my happiest days in life. (buri nazar thO NA lag jAyE!) :pray:

To be together with the loved ones is the greatest gift for anyone.

Besides this gift, the most beautiful cake with rose flavour, rose coloured frosting

and real sugar rose flowers on the frosting greeted all of us on the dining table!

(When do these children make these complex cakes and how do they do it so secretly?)

I got a bag full of gifts.

A hand made jewel box which is to be seen to be believed!

A silver coloured handbag which will go well with all the rich dresses!

A beautiful necklace of pearls and sparkling white zircon/American diamonds!

I has received a pair silver grey shoes with memory foam lining already.

Now I am all set to go out and sparkle in the new shoes, bag, necklace and feel like a Queen Mother.

Thank you God for all the love and gifts You are showering on me through my loved ones! :hail:

சாபமும் ஒரு வரமே



கருமையும் அழகே, காந்தலும் ருசியே;
கருதி நோக்கினால் சாபமும் ஒரு வரமே!
சாபவிமோசனம் ஏற்படும் பொழுதே,
தாபங்கள் தீர்ந்து, உயர்வும் வரும்.

முனிகுமாரர் வைகுந்தம் செல்கையில்,
முரட்டுத்தனமாய் தடுத்து நிறுத்திய,
ஜெய, விஜயர்கள் அடைந்தனர் சாபம்,
ஜென்மங்கள் மூன்று உலகில் பிறக்கும்படி.

இரு அசுரர்களாகி கோபத்தைக் கழிக்க,

தோன்றியதாலேயே நமக்கு கிடைத்தன,
