Think or sink!

Have you ever thought about these???

Feeling tired?
Get some sleep.

Feeling stiff?
Get some exercises.

Feeling sad?
Give some smiles.

Happiness can make you smile.
The converse is also true!
A smile can make you happy.

"I don't mind compromising of my essentials,
but I must have my luxuries!" :moony:

The best way to make a man do something?
Suggest that he is too old to do it! :boink:

Believe the person who seeks the truth.
Doubt the one who claims to have found it.

Prosperity is not without many fears and disasters.
Adversity is not without many comforts and hopes.

A man must make his opportunity as often as he finds it.
A man must take his opportunity as often as he makes them.

Happiness in a marriage is entirely a matter of chance.
Marriage, like thunderstorm, is also made in the Heaven!

The problem now-a-days is about "surplus" both money and time. most do not know how to put best use of it. no one is compelled to go to temple or even to a particular temple. if people opt to gather in huge numbers it is their choice... there are glitches in the process but that does not mean every time bhakthas and bhakthi is questioned...
using strong negative word like "fanatic" should be avoided.

:nono: Dear Sis!!
I have come across some 'couch potatoes' who say, 'Yeah!' and :couch2: again!!

My dear Raji,
I bet they have heard of this tactics from someone more 'experienced'-
who had ended up with a bad sprain in his lower back or neck or shoulders-
when he jumped headlong into this challenge to prove his woman wrong!! :tsk:

Some people say, 'Marriages are made in Heaven and suffered on earth!' :ballchain:
We read in the purANAs that even Gods have separations from their consorts
and suffer the pangs of separation just like human beings on earth.

When Lakshmi Devi quit NArAyaNa he became 'naduth-theru-nArAyanA.'

He had to live in an ant hill under a tamrind tree in the middle of nowhere and
survive on the milk supplied by the divine cow and calf ( Siva and Indra).

God and the honey bees!

Bee P told to Bee Q," I saw God in my dream yesterday! I can't describe how magnificent He was."

Bee Q asked Bee P," What was so great about Him anyway?"

Bee P told bee Q,"He was very much like us but he had two stings!"

Every creature including man imagines God in his own form but with a few extra

heads / hands / stings! God is endowed with extra Power and Infinite Knowledge.

Thankfully He always has only two legs to enable his devotees to hold on to them tightly.

This has set me thinking about how in addition to imagining GOD in his

own form, man has unknowingly transferred various human attributes,

life style, moods etc to God. Given in one day it may be too much to

relish. We will see them one after another in a relaxed manner. You

must trust me when I cross my heart and swear that these are aimed

more at the working of the human mind than on the Gods themselves.

See you tomorrow with more of these!

Dear Sis,

Since you don't see all the new posts in forum, you might NOT be aware of the presence of two of our old friends. :)

One has two different ids too. Both of them are friendly with all the members.

Of course, I am missing Guru Sir's posts, which were simple and enjoyable; unfortunately, he did not know a few of

our forum rules.

My dear Raji,

Let us hope Guruji returns to the forum soon! We can't afford to lose the good writers.

You are quite a detective to spot old friends under a disguise and a new name!:clap2:

I really have no time to read posts...old or new.

The yoga + exercises + kitchen chores in the morning extend from 5 A.M to 11 A.M.

Then the posting in the forum, typing for new blogs and other miscellaneous chores!

I am happy you are keeping track of every thread and every friend!

The discussion about to follow is based purely on the working of a normal human mind.
It is said that "God made man in His own image."
Man too has made God as himself with all the human attributes and qualities
attached to the One and Only Supreme - who has neither a form nor a name!
Please read on...

#1. Brahma and Saraswathi.

Brahma is the God of creation, the God in charge of a very important portfolio. He is responsible for all the creations in the entire cosmos. He is always kept busy by his assignments and duties.

He is attributed with a Rajasic temperament. He is the perfect replica of a business man with no time for his family or family life - who keeps his wife in a comfortable and safe place and goes about his business relentlessly.

A husband always on the move and extremely busy to give his wife any physical company.

Saraswathi Devi.

The goddess of Intellect and arts. She is overly intelligent, hyperactive since she too is attributed with a Rajasic temperament.

She is pretty but not very rich like Lakshmi Devi, nor does she have the power and boldness of Parvathi Devi.

So she has to marry Brahma who is - more often than not - depicted as a very old man sporting flowing white mustaches and beards.

She lives a life of solitude. She keeps herself usefully engaged by constant learning - since she has a bundle manuscripts in one of her hands.

She does Japam since she carries a Japamaala in one of her hands. She plays veena whenever she is neither studying nor doing japam.

She has to control her natural instincts . So she wears a white sari, sits on a white lotus and is surrounded by snow white swans - all of which are symbols and promoters of purity of thoughts and feelings.

To put it in a nut shell she is really a 'brahmachariNi' who happens to be married!

How better can a person depict the forlorn wife of a very busy person?
