One must know how to convert a curse into a blessing.
I cut a sari into two tops, one churidhar and one dhuppatta.
Usually there will be enough cloth for two sets of sleeves. But one sari was very short and the material would not suffice for the two pairs of sleeves for the two tops.
Wearing sleeveless tops is out of question. Luckily I could find a blousebit from my collection which was of the same shade at the sari and had thread work done in golden color.
I cut off the two pairs of sleves from that. I bet these two tops are going to be the best among all my dresses - in spite of ( or is it because of ?) the 'ottu-soothram-work' done by me!
