which is heavy so that it can't be lifted by a child???

It will be a pittance compared to the complicated rescue operation which serve no purpose anyway.

It neither saves the lives of the trapped children nor educates the diggers or parents or the public.

People used to capture wild elephants by digging big pits and covering them up with twigs and leaves - strong enough to support a man but weak enough to give way under the weight of an elephant.

My father has taken us to watch these capturing of elephants and bringing them it to the surface of the earth with the help of an inclined plane formed by throwing in the dug out soil and the help of already trained elephants.

But never did an elephant die in the pit. It was roomy and had enough air and space to keep alive the elephant.

The narrow bore well is enough to cause claustrophobia in any one. The shock of the ticket-free free-fall and getting jammed in an odd position and hanging at the mercy of the elements and the men is enough to kill anyone.
