I have shown my Photo, although it was taken some few years back; i have grown older since then but , if anyone see me personally they will not find much difference between the the photo and me .

As this site is smaller compared to Yahoo Answers, i hope no harm can happen by by revealing my Photo;
Shall keep the present one or for safety reason you advise me to change it?

I need advice from you all please.

pray keep it.

i look at your handsome mug shot and get a delight each time i see it :)

i dont think anyone can do any harm, by viewing a nameless addressless photo and that too with such a small resolution. if you think through, what is the worse anyone can do? i cannot think of any.

:)

First of all many members here didn't reveal their true name. Their handle name here is not their actual name.

Dear Sri Padmanabhan,

I am with you in this regard. I find no reason for not revealing our identity. It gives more comfort to discuss with people whom we know a little. I have uploaded my photo in all the forums where I participate.

Regards,
Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

My face is not pretty to look at. I am already torturing the members with my messages; I don't want to further torture them by putting up my picture! :scared: But if there is a demand, I can always put up my picture ( holoween without costume! :) ). By the way, I am using my real name.

Cheers!

Firstly anyone who peruses can see. They don't need to sign up and be a member to view the avatar pictures. Why would someone want their whole family, relatives, real life acquiantances knowing they post here if those people stumble upon this site. I wouldn't personally. People value their annonimity I suppose. Also if you're female (again only IMHO) why would you want everyone to see you? Lots of weirdos and stalkers about.

Very true, dear Amala! I have given my real name and so far posted only the real episodes

and not reel episodes in my life, in this forum! :)

Those who value their own privacy, can continue to post here without hindrance. For the rest, there is Facebook!

call her Raji mami...so here i got another Raji mami too....

Dear Sri Padmanabhan,
Personally I feel there is no harm in members giving some basic information about themselves in their profile like male/female, age and professional background. Of course this is my personal opinion.
You can find a few members have given complete information about themselves with photo. One among them is Smt. Visalakshi Ramani, versatile writer who has contributed a lot to this forum.

Regards,
Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

Dear PJ Sir,

the excitement every human gets from being anonymous and if he/she happens to hear good things about him/her is uncomaparable in terms of getting the same when the identity is known. The virtual world of net and our interactions with people unknown to us except the name and the drawings they have along with their names surely gives a beautiful feeling. IMO i feel so much easy to interact with all veterans or newbie in the forum and i would like this world to remain the same for me..identityless, and anonymous. i would like to follow the steps of Shri.Suraju who in another thread declined to meet and preferred to remain anon.

BTW how do you imgine such topics? உட்காந்து ரொம்ப யோசிப்பீங்களோ!!!!

cheers.

Dear Sir,
That is why the sibling :fencing:
starts!! :D

Dear Manohar Sir,

I don't think that the members need to post their photoes as avtAr picture. Especially, if the posts are too many per day (like I do!),

the repetition of the same face sometimes becomes boring! I requested my Sis, who has 100% activity all the time, to change her

avtAr photo only for this reason and she did that! If the photo is in profile page, then those who want to know can view it there.

And, after being a member in such a huge forum, it is better to get at least a few real friends. I am happy to have a few! :)

You have missed the main point, Sir! :ranger:

Here is Raju Sir's post:

Dear RR,

Though we(I will be attending all the programmes along with my wife) would be very happy to use this opportunity to add RR and Ram to our friends list, for the present I would like to continue as an Anon in this forum. Hope you understand. Thanks.

Cheers.
நண்பர்களாக ஆன பின்னும், Forum - இல் அவர்களைப் பற்றித் தெரிவிக்கக் கூடாது! :nono:

P.S: Even when Sri. Ravi requested for our 'Sing. Chennai get-together' photos, I did not post them!

Dear Sri.manoharkumar sir,

There is nothing fear as i am already 73, very few months i go to India/ Chennai in a year only for medical check ups.

In Face book, i have very limited contacts, there also i show my identity
; not anywhere else except this one.

I feel very comfortable from Brahmanyan Sir's advice on this refer post no 13.

I thought that they are not vulnerable! So you can be  Sir!

If everyone puts the photo and become friends, how can we ever fight?

Without fights, forum will be 'borem'. :bored:

P.S: Even in the MahAbhArat war,
Arjuna hid behind Shikhandi and attacked Bhishma!!

Raji Madam

Fighting here!!!! ha ha ha..with whom?
I just move forward unmindful of criticism or praise of my posts; I am not only posting here, i do this in other sites too.
It is just like playing chess game in Internet / sometime i win/ sometime i lose playing against unknown persons.

Some members criticism is not worth replying too!! i try my best to ignore their comment, but at times i am forced to answer.

Whenever my grandson says" you don't know any thing Thatha" i feel really very happy as i am saved from answering his many questions about Geography etc

You are right ,Raji Madam, at any age and particularly in old age, every man needs the protection given by their spouse in facing their life's hurdles coming like Bheeshma in front of them.

My Grandsons are able to read, write and Speak in Tamil thanks to my Daughter in Law; She enrolled them in Bal Vikas classes over there, and she also teaches there!
Whenever i/ or my wife talk to them , they reply in Tamil, with their friends they talk in English.

Oh! Yeah!!

They are 'Lakshmi's and my name differs a little bit! :)

I am fondly called 'pAttu ma'am' or 'pAttu miss' by my students. :high5:

I read that as "pattu" and i thought you're called pattu mami :). Which wouldnt be right as you should be poly-pattu actually maam :D

I thought that he might have seen you asking questions in this forum and thought you don't know anything!! :D

My grand sons or my daughter in law, my son, my wife, or my daughter are all , not at all interested in this "VAMBU" site; a topic starts with all eagerness, and it takes many turns and twists with the result , some of the posts have no connection to the original topics; This never happens in Yahoo answers where members posts to the question and best answer among many is selected by member who posted the question.

Here some members think that they are the most intelligent being in this world and question even Maha Periyava's Teachings and advices; members should know their limitation of knowledge as compared to Maha Periyava.

Do you really think all post carry any meaning to original posts?

Vishalshi Madam, posting creative poems is really good one; you got excellent creative ideas in poems but you also post some unrelated posts to the main topic; Brahmanyam Sir posts are always to the point and his posts are really good.
