Yagna for protection of female species

Dear Mr.Biswa,
These are the inherent qualities of human species right from the time of their existence that our ancestors figured out, obviously.
Social Moral goodness/responsibilities, discipline and good code of conduct were emphasized from the long time since civilizations started emerging. Whether violators and victims were exposed to the society and IF punishments were rewarded to the rapists, upholding justice during those olden days is a different aspect altogether BUT for sure were never accepted and entertained to allow humans in the society to fulfill their fantasies with any one, in all the ways and means possible, overpowering others, without their consent.
A civilized societal behavior patterns starts right from home environment, provided by the parents in a family relationship with a sense of discipline and reverence towards each type of relationship.
This leads to the existence of healthy society and any variations/violations are subjected to legal measures
As well the drastic changes in societal behavior patterns, influenced by various other cultures are potent enough to change the living style and behavior patterns of individuals from disciplined family background as well.
The responsibilities lies on each of the humans irrespective of the geographical locations and cultures they belong to and ensure safety and dignity to each other.
Along with the changing times human race is also changing for both better and worst. Worst part of the human race is what detrimental to the existence of a safe and healthy society and any level of law and order/judiciary measures seem to fail in establishing safety to the vulnerable female human species.
As far as India is concerned and betterment of Indian society is intended, other than establishing strict law and order, imparting education and responsibilities etc..etc, Spiritual initiatives as well seem to be imperative to expect changes in the society for the better, when enormous rape crimes are taking place beyond control.
IMO, when Yagnas are performed in India, expecting Rain / Loka Kshemam, performing one such Yagna in expectation of achieving safety to the female species right from their form of fetus and expecting moral goodness and responsibilities in distorted Men is no wrong.
Oh! come on!! Surely you can't be older than me!!!
If you do not want to say it it is a different matter altogether.
My next project will be a series in which the rushis and sages behaved abnormally with women!!!

These types of western advertisements seem to be not depicting women so cheap, as per western society where women are exposed with their instincts too without any hypocrisy.
As people say, morality and life style differs from culture to culture, I think, as an Indian we can not blame such advertisements in context to the expectations of Indians.
The revelation of basic Human tendencies/instincts/senses, whether that of male or female, seem to have nothing to do with its implications on the people of the society with a set of culture that are adopted in the specific geographical location.

I couldn't find anything wrong with that body spray commercial. It just says even if that guy is working with rubbish, still the spray fragrance is more powerful than the rubbish stench.
I use body sprays ( actually the same brand too). For some of the varieties ( not all of them come with strong fragrance) when i used them, at work other nurses ( mostly if not all female) commented in favour.. exact words were "you smell nice Raghy"... well, commercials are usually slightly exaggerating, aren't they?

Grown up adults who know what is right and what is wrong can sense that commercials are exaggerated. BUT, the growing teens form their own impressions and fancies, no matter how hard you try to reveal to them, the truth.
They also develop a wrong idea that, girls would do all crazy stuffs unmindful of the presence of other guy nearby, having been captivated. And what she does out of attraction is perfectly natural and Fine!!

That commercial was quite funny. That girl is the bikies girl friend... the bikie is waiting for her... bikie is a macho figure... girls love bikies and bike riding. I don't want to go in details about the reasons behind that in this forum.
That guy scavanging the rubbish is just a tramp. He sprayed the body spray and she couldn't resist him! Went and smelled him in front of her bikie friend! That ad is quite a bit exaggerated! Almost funny, really.
Kids here would just laugh at such commercials.
About girls doing crazy stuff.... They do it. There is no if or but about it. Matter of fact, in my observation, girls make the first move and are more dominant in most cases. In India I haven't noticed the 'conversation with their eyes'. But after coming here, I noticed it so many times.
Like you said earlier, this is a very different culture.

He needed their body stench to switch him ON.
I used to hate the very concept.
But the newer concept is no better.
Humans become hounds running and chasing smells
and those weird smelly persons.
I prefer the smell of honest sweat to any of those smelly sprays!

Any numbers of Yagnas are not going to stop this crime.
Introduce strict penal codes for social crimes so that none dare to commit it.
Speedy trial and severe punishment will go as a deterrent to such crimes.
Women are recommended to wear modest clothes and not reveal their body and structure that may be sexually provocative to the opposite sex.
To get the society free from crimes, the spate of pornographic materials must be strictly banned. The media, TV channels and cinema which present and publish vulgar materials must be censored.
New generations need to be given more and more morals teachings and social values which are almost zero in our prevailing education system.

Films do depict life, and some times films leads social behavior.
I would like to show a similar topic but with different results.
Gun violence:
The same gory gun violence games are played in USA, Canada, Australia, and EU.
The culture of hunting is similar in these countries.
One piece of this puzzle is the national rate of firearm-related murders, which is charted above. The United States has by far the highest per capita rate of all developed countries. According to data compiled by the United Nations, the United States has four times as many gun-related homicides per capita as do Turkey and Switzerland, which are tied for third. The U.S. gun murder rate is about 20 times the average for all other countries on this chart. That means that Americans are 20 times as likely to be killed by a gun than is someone from another developed country.
So the violent games alone can not be blamed for gum violence in USA.
Similarly we can not blame the movies alone for the rape culture in India.
I do not condone the vulgar ways of India Movies.

When the whole world is helpless in preventing the assaults on fellow beings why not seek the providence’s help. Let it be the “panampazham vizhundadhu” as the crow sat on the tree. The uncivilized tendency of the human mind can only be diverted by the providence. We are living in a worst yuga. Doing yagna does not mean we sit idle otherwise waiting god to take action. (Post # 3).
Pot # 21: Blaming alcohol is an outdated custom. Why do people want alcohol if they do not know what it does. All drinkers are not rapists either. But it is a convenient loop hole for some.
Post # 23 is a better analysis of some causes.
Post #25 We are not living in old days and the generations of centuries have fought to break free from old world’s unacceptable civilization. Organized and civilized living is not new. A life has various aspects which include nurturing, learning, looking after the needy, etc. Sports and Pastime included. Sex in the day is at retirement on a day. But alarming number of people are prioritizing their own choices. Wrong is wrong even if the Devas did; Indra did many things wrong which we cannot repeat. Those were lessons to be learnt or warnings to beware; not to adopt and follow faithfully so that we can become Devas. How come we have discarded many old things but cling on to a few undesirables.

Post # 35 India itself has different cultures. While according to some film/serial directors Tamil girls or ladies (ignore the few) do not want to act whereas the whole of India vie with one another for money or otherwise. I do not think they are dumb or shy. They are more matured.
Post # 36 Body sprays are now called gas cylinders and the users suffer worse at retiring time. Yes it is a protection for girls and ladies at times to blind out any assaulter.

If yagna is not a solution, no other solution is at hand. Law can be improved to deter the cats on the walls. Give publicity to the crime perpetrator and bring out the accused’s whole family into public focus. Take interviews of the accused’s side and allow public to interview them wherever they want and telecast them officially (without commercials) so that others will be educated or subdued. Prevent private channels to spin these stories by any extent to achieve the cursed “TRP”. No death penalty to the rapist and he should be humiliated every day. Once confirmed as rapist, he should be off the HRC. Human Rights Commission talk for the wrong doers but they do not care for the victims or their rights before or after. Public sympathy and protest can go a long way along with yagna.
