Even poison is prescribed as medicine for some ailments in few cases. And in certain medicines, I have noticed a warning indication in red that the contents are poison and can be taken only against Doctors prescription.

The subject of the OP is to enforce ban on pornographic websites on the ground that their contents were the root cause of all crimes, especially offences against women and children.

With free access to internet, the subject material is freely available to one and all in respective age.

So, here the focus is on prevention, as the saying goes that prevention is better than cure.

Identifying the rapist with the sample of his semen etc arises only after commission of offence by someone. First of all, why stimulate someone to commit the offence and later chase and punish him.

Every profession in this world is a transaction.There is the service provider and the client.

There is corruption in most other professions and one might not get the value that is sought..we get inferior quality products becos of cheating..becos of corruption inferior material is used in construction of building and when it collapses lives are lost.

I am not saying prostitution is right or wrong but at least the sex worker gives the moneys worth to the client..she is sincere in her profession and does not cheat her clients... clients can be anyone right from unmarried males to old married males.

I always have extra respect for a sex worker..they too have a heart.

Dear Vaithehi,

As a doctor I have learned that the world is made up of different people..I am not here to judge anyone but my duty as a human is to respect everyone.

I have spoken to sex workers and also treated them..some have very sad lives that we can not imagine..so the best is just treat everyone with respect.

I never preach to my patients who frequent sex workers to not visit sex workers ..all I tell them is to practice safe sex no matter if your partner is a wife or a sex worker.

And to a sex worker I also tell them to insists on safe sex with clients and stand up for the rights if they feel they are being abused.The law protects everyone.

Anything in this world can affect our mental state..a person can be delusional without even going to a sex worker.


So my dear..this is my stance in life..live and let live..respect all honest professions.

BTW corruption affects the health of millions of kids all over the world when the needed medication does not reach them or inferior and contaminated medicine is administered.

I am against porn industry because it may have an exploitation aspects of some workers. But major companies producing such material are bound by the same rules as any other

But I am also against 50% products we buy that is derived from slave labor of young children.
The diamond you buy and cherish was dug by small children who is put through extraordinarily dangerous situation and there is no justice when they are maimed or killed.

pl. do not tempt saints into becoming sinners by your doctors logic. you might have come across sinner males and exploited ladies . let us not question the values of a person who believes sex is for noble and is for procreation only and not for pleasure per se. you might be logical in your reasoning and possibly correct. IMHO ,we might damage the value systems of those who have followed this straight path indoctrinated by their parents and have managed to take up pro creation as a duty and tell themself it is not for pleasure. some may get disoriented if these basic beliefs are challenged.

Nope...my post is not weird..it just gives us a different perspective about anything..that is there is nothing 100% good and there is nothing 100% bad.

When we totally dislike anything we invariably focus on it subconsciously and this forms vasanas(imprints) in our mind.

When we do not judge anything and try to live and let live..there is nothing specific our subconscious focuses on..so our mind is free from pride and prejudice of any kind and we learn to appreciate people better.

Actually from what I know about porn watchers - (and there are many these days world wide because it has become mainstream ) the human reaction is quiet different.

Porn is a fantasy provider just like all other things that are marketed. Even a Disney vacation is a journey into fantasy and the same goes to many movies that portray totally unrealistic situation.

For most people realities are rarely as much fun as fantasy.

Most porn watchers are not actually thrilled with real life activities - I dont have citation for this study but I have seen a study done once

Porn excites even everyone both males and females and rape has nothing to do with education level..its just that the Modus Operandi in an uneducated person might be a brutal attack but the educated rapist might drug a female and rape her or even sexually harass a co worker rape her using threat or black mail.

The uneducated rapist might not think of covering his tracks and acts without thinking but the educated rapist knows how to cover his tracks well and also be a total smooth criminal leading a dual life of a highly placed man in society by day but rapist when the situation warrants.

We should spend less time debating about whether it is good or bad, more on how to tackle it. Trying to suppress it/ban it makes it all the more attractive.
