There is lot to talk about AAP’s Delhi vision I mean their challenge ‘ 70-Point Action Plan’.

It is the dream of Delhiites.

They have voted AAP with big expectation, a visible relief from corruption by activating the Anti-corruption Agencies, water, Education to poor masses, WI FI facility, CCTV installation etc

Hope the rape capital will get the required transformation with visible policing.

Let us wait to see the changes taking place slowly one by one.

The 'Abuse-Brigade' will be more active and hope AK know how to handle them tactfully.

Average age of cabinet is just 37 years! Wow! Good! Looks like AK's plan is to build his party at national level...That's why he has not kept any portfolio to himself! And we have a deputy CM Manish Sisodia who will slip on to CM's shoes if there is a need!
[h=1]AAP ki sarkaar: India's youngest cabinet[/h] February 14, 2015

Arvind Kejriwal took oath as Delhi chief minister on Saturday along with a team of six ministers with an average age of 37 years. This could possible be the country’s youngest cabinet.

Kejriwal, 46, in a first, has decided not to keep any portfolio with himself.

Kejriwal’s Man Friday, the 42-year-old Manish Sisodia is Delhi’s first deputy chief minister. He will be given education, public works department and urban development. The Aam Aadmi Party plans to execute its educational agenda by building new schools and colleges, which is why it will be given to a senior minister like Sisodia.

manish sisodia is paneerselvam of delhi govt and kejriwals shadow.Very soft spoken and excellent to transact

with.

delhi govt has hardly any powers with no control over police or land[DDA etc].Their role is somewhat more

than a municipality. without cooperation of central govt they cannot do much.

There is no harm if AAP stays in power .They may not do much damage.

the few sops for poor people such as free water , halved power rates , and attempts to reduce corruption in

municipal bodies will keep the people of delhi satisfied with AAP.

vote in delhi was only a negative vote for BJP. AAP was a default option for voting

I shud admit having not read all the coments in this forum but I want to say something. I admit I ama BJP-man and convased for BJP from US attending various Overseas BJP Friends forums and to some extent, did financed also. while in Delhi few BJP leaders, MP and MLA attended my children's marriage parties; so, I know few BJP prominent leaders. I got few feedback. y may not believe me but this is want to mention here. AAP victory is BJP's script. BJP never wanted BJP Govt in Delhi because that will create lots of problems for the Center. AAP's promises r not viable. Center will show its hands full and will not be of any help to them. There r number of AAP leaders who want show their own flags. In this way, AAP will go down under its weight. I am of the opinion this is going to happen. I have read such comments in newspaper like TOI, HT, IE and Hindu. - srinivasan

Sir, That sounds unbelievable...Nobody in party would have planned their moment of disgrace..You mean Amit Shah planned this on the day of his son's marriage??

I am hearing now news that BJP was never interested in winning Delhi elections . If so then why did they bring in Modi and the massive Mega Campaign with Modi for the Delhi elections ? BJP was desperate to win Delhi not just to keep their winning momentum but also to get few Rajya Sabha seats to increase their tally in the Rajya Sabha . Kejriwal apologized to the voters for running away from the CM Post and also for being over ambitious in contesting the Parliamentray elections in 2014 . Sometimes all it needs is to accept the fact that you got it wrong and accept the defeat instead of giving camouflaged lies to try escape the humiliation of a defeat . This does not do good for a party like BJP . People respect you for speaking truth and not hiding behind lies .
Coming to AAP it is well known that they cant really deliver what they promised . AAPs main threat is their own Gold standards with which they evaluated others and if they do not live up to that Gold standards then they will start Cracking . Agitation is one thing but Governance is another . In 6 months we will know the true color of AAP .

Modi finally takes a dig at AAP! It is very much required so that the truth can come out!

[h=1]After AAP win, PM Modis takes a dig at parties promising free power [/h]

February 16, 2015

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at pre-election promises to reduce power and water bills, saying he wondered how such promises could be made in states which were dependent on electricity from outside.

"During every election, political parties promise free power. People need to think about these promises," said PM Modi on Sunday at a conference on renewable energy in Delhi. And the cost of water, he said, was "basically due to the cost of power".

The prime minister's comments came a day after the Aam Aadmi Party government took oath -- the party had won 67 of Delhi's 70 assembly seats last week, leaving the Bharatiya Janata Party to mop up the remaining three.

A chunk of its votes came from the economically backward section, which is now waiting for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to deliver on his promises regarding cheaper electricity and free water.

Delhi has a power demand of about 5,000 MW and is largely dependent on other states to meet its requirements. "I don't want to make any adverse comment on the Prime Minister," said senior AAP leader Ashutosh. He said he would only request the PM to help make electricity affordable, "because that will do a lot of good for the people of Delhi".

Modi finally takes a dig at AAP! It is very much required so that the truth can come out!

I remember when Modi became the CM for the first time in Gujarat , he told the farmers that he will not give free Power but ready to give un-interrupted power if voted to Power and he kept his promise of un-interrupted Power and made Gujarat from a Power deficit state to a Power surplus state and that was what made him win elections 3 times as CM . I am not saying Gujarat is not free of problems but at least Modi was successful in what he promised i.e un-interrupted power in Gujarat .

delhi gets uninterrupted power except when it rains when it is deliberately switched off

last year in summer it hardly failed .

any irregularity was due to local faults like burnt out transformer or burnt cable.

in rainy season as a precautionary measure it gets switched off to avoid accidents due to live fallen wires etc.

since most of delhi supply is from surrounding states, there are switch over of lines from one supply to another which can be irritating.

also the voltage regulation is poor leading to burn out of appliances like frig,mixies..

what is distressing is in the time of peak loads in summer, the power to poor colonies/slums get switched off to balance supply and demand. in posh areas , people get

sound sleep with multiple ACs and load systems with more than their sanctioned loads.

if you belong to upper middle class or an elite , you can be very happy living in gated colonies with every possible comfort . if you are poor, you are care of almighty

God

this subsidies on power. it is much required. most have elec meters which are over sensitive and most started getting exorbitant bills when the meters without notice

were changed by the private distribution agency. repeated changes in tariffs coupled with refusal to agree to CAG audit of accounts make the acounting of power

distributers suspect

When VP Sing was the PM in 1989-90 , Arif Mohammed Khan was the power minister and he had been to Chennai to attend the IIT Convocation and in his speech at that time he said India while having its own challenges in power generation but the biggest challenge is loss of power in transmission & distribution due to inefficiency in the way we transmit power and also due to power theft and he said this in 1990 itself and the same problem continues even now after 25 years .If we can improve the efficiency in transmission and distribution and avoid power theft then it will help save at least 25% of the power generated .

if power is reasonably priced , there would be no thefts.

if the rates are unreasonably high due to lack of economies of scale and wrong location of plants leading to long distances of transmission and attendant losses , what do

you expect to happen.

power thefts are small, producers and distributers are the bigger thieves.

This is only an attempt to save face by BJP-enthusiasts. There were such articles even in early January.

One would know the truth if one notes how much publicity and ads were done by BJP everyday in all the leading dailies of Delhi for several weeks before the election.
Each of these advts portrayed Modi and his messages in great detail. In fact many analysts were uncomfortable with the level of ad spending by BJP for just a city election
Not to forget that just 2 days before polling date a new advt was released by BJP projecting Modi and all the achievements of the BJP Govt in 8 months.
If BJP wanted to lose the elections, minimum they would have done is refrain from such excessive media blitz. What if such media blitz actually got voters for BJP and they win? So obviously the suggestion that BJP wanted to lose the election has no substance

many juggi/jhopadis get power free of charge in delhi....many shops in chandi chowk get power from direct power lines with out

meter....after 5 yrs...AAP wont be in power....they cant fulfill their manifestos.....even DELHI IS NOT A FULL FLEDGE STATE...

it depends on centre for many law and order situations....NOTHING IS COMING FREE....SOMEBODY HAS TO PAY....

Does it make sense to throw people on the roads if they happen to live in a slum which does not have legal sanction.

In 2009 , a decision was made to regularise earlier slums and not allow new ones.

New slums did come up. the influx into delhi from uttarakhand and poorvanchal is so high that they constitute 40 -50

percent of population. One cannot wish them away. only decision made by AAP is they should not be destroyed until

alternate arrangements are made for them.

An economic philosophy which recognises free water as a right and power at reasonable rate of one rupee ,fifty

paisa an unit is laudable.

Does it make sense to charge 5-7 rs a unit from the poor for power.

the basic reason for high rates is delhi has no captive power plant and purchase from other states is expensive

if delhi gets a coal block and sets up it own unit , it should not cost more than 2 rs per unit.

similarly, renewable sources can add to power generation.all this requires only planning and proper governance.

until then there is no alternative to subsidy

All states follow slab system. In Maharashtra, rates are about 4 upto 100 units, 7 up to 300, 9 up to 400 and more slabs. I am sure Delhi has slabs. Power theft must be stopped for slab system to work. As metering is done at transformer level too to gauge consumption.

all slab systems are fine . even delhi has it. only the meters run erratically overcharging all

most end up paying a minimum of 1000-1200 in the poorest of areas.

y see these BJP leaders are hard-core politicians. have y forgotton what Winston Churchil said: Politics is squandral place. pl note RSS started saying Bedi is mistaken selection; like this, various BJP people say different things. let us read in between the lines. I may be wrong. I leave it to y all to a best discresion - srinivasan

Tapping before and after the meter is very common in crowded areas and slums. Technical issue easy to resolve if conditions are favorable.

[h=1]RSS blames Bedi for Delhi debacle, says 'dedicated workers' sidelined[/h]
The RSS, the ruling BJP’s ideological mentor, has questioned the decision to project former IPS officer Kiran Bedi as the chief ministerial candidate for the Delhi assembly polls and listed reasons for the party’s drubbing in the elections.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, in a three-part cover story in the latest issue of its fortnightly publication Panchjanya, listed the sidelining of dedicated party workers and leaders as one of the possible reasons for the Bharatiya Janata Party’s loss in Delhi.
