Dear friends!

That brings us to the end of the current collection of the proverbs in

East Meets West. My original target was only 500! Now the elevated

target is a 1000 proverbs!

It has been an enriching experience sharing these with you. I can feel

that now I myself am better equipped when it comes to using quotations

and proverbs. :typing:

Keep visiting my blog at wordpress for the latest additions. The posting

may go on till the end of 2011! Finding the most suitable pictures

(not copy righted ) takes a lot of time and energy. Hence the delay!

Just for your information:_

My daughter (in law) who posts these proverbs can not READ Tamil.

She posts the aptest picture for the English proverbs.

So even those who can not read Tamil, can still enjoy the funny

proverbs in English with the funnier illustrations!

The precise English translation is given below each of the 185 poems.

So the English portion will be either a short story or a short essay

conveying the essence of the poem-which means that even those

who can not read Tamil can still get the message conveyed through

the poems. The colorful illustration given on the top of the poem is

common for both the Tamil and English portions!
