good lady visa,
the women, are they not used to giving it good to the menfolk at home (mrs K is pretty handy with the rolling pin..ouch!!).
i would have thought they would have developed a good handle and a strong wrist, all key ingredients for sound sharp percussion. n'est pas?
For example a few songs which I sang with ease during younger days, gives a choking feeling, as I grow old! It is my
experience. Also, I am unable to sing a few touchy songs now!
My dear Raji,
I have been like that ever since I can remember.
Hamsaanandhi and Subhapantuvaraali make me breakdown
even when I think of the songs.
Not that I do not sing them.
I will singing and crying at the same time
... :baby:... :sing:... = Cry Baby Singer!!!
Can you pl. upload your 'CRYING' Baby Song in youtube..? If possible with video also..!!

Dear VR ji,
When I sing any bhajan during prayer sessions..a lot of people tell me I smile when I sing.
I tend to smile when I am enjoying a bhajan..never cried so far.
Dear Renu,
Bhajan are usually robust and pep up the singers.
But certain raagaas and lyrics of certain songs can produce copious tears.
"can produce copious tears."...
Why tears..?..Certain 'raagas' of better-half will produce 'Fear' also...!!

It is not "So she bought some better butter.........." but "So Betty bought some better butter.........." :becky:............. Betty bought some butter. ..........
Dear Sis,Bhajans especially those on Ayyappa
and the aarti song in the Hare Krishna temple are
physical fitness training sessions. .........
Bhajans especially those on Ayyappa
and the aarti song in the Hare Krishna temple are
physical fitness training sessions.
The sing and dance and jump and hop for so much time. :clock:
...we used to start off the bhajan 'onnaam thirupadi ayyane pon ayyappaa.. and conitnue a few thirupadis...disappear...and come back after 100...and when 108 was reached...start off with 'onnaam thrupadi.... ...much to the chagrin of the old folks...
visa, i agree that ayyappa bhajans can be not only exhilarating, but also lots of fun....as below..
it reminds me of my teen years at. the local ayyappa samajam.. we used to start off the bhajan 'onnaam thirupadi ayyane pon ayyappaa.. and conitnue a few thirupadis...disappear...
..
..
and come back after 100
..
..
and when 108 was reached
..
..
start off with 'onnaam thrupadi....
much to the chagrin of the old folks,
who were now caught in a trap..as traditionbound, they felt obliged to continue the song till the last thirupadi..
..this went on ..till the more vigilant oldies used to ensure that we were kept away from the sanctum sanctorum
those were the days........
Namaste kunjuppuji,
I am cracking up here, my colleagues wondering why so, thanks Kunjuppuji for your post, I am recalling my childhood/mischievous days especially during poojays/bhajans the way we used to get impatient and used to start bothering elders especially oldies that get irritated easily....here I go again, cracking up...Thanks Kunjuppuji !!!
Thanks,
Jai SiyaRaam
Dear Sis,
Have you heard this Rangammaa song?
Bhajan by Vital Das Mahraj - Very Best of his - Rangamma
