Ghosts are real !!

Your mind can play a lot of tricks.
You just need to meet people in any psychiatric ward. (no offense to any Ghost and their kins).

I happen to meet people in psychiatric condition on daily basis. I don't think people are talking about hallucinations here. I came across experiences of ghost activities in a different forum too. Those actvities seemed much more involved than the ones explained here.

Dear Sri. Sangom, Greetings.

I refer to your message in post #22. I Had no trouble in ouija board. We use to use the vicks tin, turned upside down for the easy sliding. Often times it would move so fast, we can't even keep our fingers on it. I have seen it going on it's own, only sometimes though. But still it is not as good as meeting one!

Cheers!

Raghy Sir,
If you wish to communicate with spirits, I mean good spirits, you can try planchette; that too with the spirit of someone in your family only; that too possible only if that spirit not already born somewhere else only.

It is very simple; draw a circle on the floor on any smooth surface, and within that circle write A to Z under the circle line completing the circle; do not leave any space when finally ending Z; you may also write A to Z , just outside the circle, the base of each letter touching the line.

Draw a small circle in the middle of the circle where you can keep the cover of Powder box.
You have to select two persons, preferably unmarried for this; also they are having Deva Guna as per their birth star.
(At least one of them should have Deva Guna for the successful communication)

Before starting this communication exercise, they must believe that they can communicate with spirit of the departed soul.
They should take a shower and pray to God that nothing unpleasant happens in their effort to communicate with the departed spirit; they should also pray mentally to the departed person to communicate with them. They should sit with Madi Dhothi.

Both persons should not try to cheat the viewers; both should put their index finger on the powder cover gently; they should not exert any pressure on the powder cover; one of them should face east.

To confirm whether the spirit has come or not, those sitting can ask the spirit: ‘Are you there, (mentioning the name) if yes, please move to ‘Y’ like that.
It may take time and sometime the spirit may not come.
Once the spirit of the departed soul comes, the powder cover will start automatically move; then they can ask many questions, and powder cover will move connecting different letters from which you can get answers.

After the exercise is over, please offer Neivedyam to the spirit, erase the circle etc and chant Sarva Gayathri 3 times.

If any of the family members are afraid, please do not try this; also it should not be used very often. Do not try this after Sun Set, try only early morning.

This is only for believers not for fun.

The best advise I can give in never to dabble with any form of spirit contact.
What might seem like a harmless play might actually open up a portal of entry unknowingly.
We might have no idea what type of entity might come through the portal.

I have come to realize that sometimes it we humans who can actually see them and we become afraid of them.
Not all ghost have the intention to scare us.
So best is not to disturb them.

But one fact that I do not quite enjoy is that the departed ones sometimes love showing up in my dreams to convey messages to their loved ones.

It really bloody hard dealing with this cos once I remember clearly a departed uncle wanted a message to be conveyed to his family regarding some money issue.

So I told my cousin the dream and he became angry saying that "why should my father go into your dream? why can't he come in my dream..if he had something to say"

Even recently some departed relative came in my dream appearing sad and said to me that she was not keen to cross over.

I was wondering what that dream meant and then I got to know that her death anniversary is near approaching and her sons were fighting about the date to do the ceremony cos one son was not keen to follow the date given by the priest and the other son wanted to follow the date given by the priest.

So I had to tell them the dream so that they would stop fighting!
So now the date for the death ceremony is going according to the date given by the priest.

But still the sons were asking "Why did she come into your dream when we are the sons?"

All I told them is "my broadband signal is better than yours..it picks up all signals from the other world as well"

This is the job I kind of dislike cos I get screwed up by others for my dreams of their loved ones.

Even after my MIL died she did come in my dreams to say somethings which actually needed some attention and that made my own husband upset cos he was wondering why his mum did not come in his dream!

Dear Renu,

My dear father appears in most of my dreams - while he was alive and even after he left us, eighteen years back!

In all those dreams, I will be all alone in an unknown place like a huge sea, waterfall, mountain or a highway with
rushing trucks and would not know how to get back to my sweet home. Then comes my father for my rescue!

I think the persons we love most appear in our dreams.

Dear Sangom Sir,

Have you ever witnessed 'stove jOsiyam'? It was very popular in Tamil Nadu in the 60s.

I was very young the and just remember a few of my amma's friends talking about it! :blah:

For me every Tom Dick and Harry can appear in my dreams too!

Once I was transferred to a district hospital and that very night I got a dream in which I see a man dressed up as a hospital attendant and he had stab and slash wounds on him and he was pointing towards some direction.

I was wondering what that dream meant and after a week I got to know that just before I was transferred to that hospital the hospital attendant in charge of my room was murdered..stabbed and slashed to death.

So for me..anyone can come in my dream..even those I don't know.

dear raji ram !
your post made me also to remember the stove jyothidam.for that they want only brass stove (pumping stove) and not ordinary wick stove .during 1970 ,the tumpler or steel glass jothidam as explained by sri PJ was famous. we used to play that glass jothidam and extract information from the person who believe in that .
as mr raghy said i have not experienced any ghost incidence even when in burial ground or moving alone in mid night in accident prone area. sri PJ explaination of demon guna may be the reason since i also belong to rakshasa guna .those having weak moon (chndra ) will also experience the ghost fear.
we can call our wife as pisasu since they go on working tirelessly for our welfare which is not possible for a human . they will not be raksahashi
during pournami pooja ,i watched a lady speaking on behalf of ghost and giving solutions
my office problem was highlighted by her which i have not revealed to any body including my wife

Dear Guru Sir,

The word 'RAkshasi' brings in my memory an experience with my Guru Prof. S. Ramanathan. I might have shared it earlier in

some other thread. Anyway, I shall write again!

My Guru had a concert in Sabari malai temple and wanted to sing all the nine songs composed by Sri. 'Thulasivanam', who is

actually Sri. Ramachandran, an IAS officer. Those nine songs on Swami Ayyappan and the invocation song on Lord Ganesha

were sung by Sri. Maharajapuram Santhanam and released as a cassette. Guruji gave that cassette to me one fine morning

and told me to write notations for all the ten songs and give to him ASAP, so that he need not memorize all the ten songs

at a short time. He wanted the notations to refer during his concert. I can write notations very fast and he knows my capacity.

The same night, I sat for about five hours and finished the work. When I handed it over to him the next morning he said with

his typical smile on his face, 'enakkuth theriyum innaikkE thandhuduvAynnu! nee oru Rakshasi AchchE!' When I heard this

comment, tears appeared in my eyes, even though I wanted to control. Then Guruji said, 'RakshasALukku rAththiyil power

jAsthi. adhanAla appadich chonnEn!' Then only I knew that he appreciated me for my tireless work! :thumb:

After finishing his concert the following week, he remembered to thank me for the notations, mentioning that it was of great
help to him and he could sing with ease! I was overwhelmed with joy!! He was a real

I think your ghost friends are helping them appear in your dreams, Renu!! :D

Dear RR ji,

In year 2000 when I was on call in the hospital it was around some 3 am and I was trying to get some sleep after seeing patients.

Then I felt my on call room turn very cold and I was feeling sleepy at the same time.
Then I could feel as if I could hear some sounds of people speaking Chinese and also see some scenes of China.

Scenes where people were pulling some rickshaw too came to me.
I was semi awake and utterly confused as what was going on cos I also felt as if I was in some hill station at that time.

Then this whole dream semi awake situation ended when my phone rang.
It was a call from the police saying there are coming from Genting Highlands(hill station) and bringing a dead old Chinese male tourist from China who had died in the casino.
I was asked to do a post mortem for him.

Then I thought.."Ok makes sense now"..room turning cold and feeling as if I was in a hill station and scenes from China.

In early 1960's I was working in a tyre factory and there was a single large hall, fully air-conditioned for six of the Directors (all foreigners) and a part of it for the technical assistants and assistant chemists to do their quality checks. I was a technical assistant.

It so happened that the news about planchette writing became a rage in Bombay then. One method of planchette was to use a tea glass to move over a board on which the English alphabets and numbers will be legibly written, three people will touch the glass very lightly with their finger-tip, either all of them or one of them will invite the ghost of a dead person and then the people around may just think of a question and the glass would move over the alphabets and numbers which would make an answer. This used to be regularly practised during the night-shifts especially when a kind gentleman was the factory Manager for the shift. Many dead persons' ghosts were thus reportedly invited and many questions answered wonderfully and this became the talk of the day among the assistants.

Since I was a fresh recruit I did not at first enter into this meeting lest the seniors got offended, but in due course, one night I just entered the cabin where this seance was going on. I could not find the tea glass moving and then those touching the glass complained that I was the spoil-sport. So, I came out and then the glass started moving. (I could see that because all the cabins had transparent glass doors only.) I suspected it to be a coordinated trick to fool me and so, on subsequent days also I entered into the cabin and the planchet-writing stopped completely.

Incidentally my birth-star falls under raakshasa gana, so, may be ghosts are afraid of me!

Sangom sir,

This game is extremely popular in many parts, i believe its called Ouija board and in my teens this was played by lots in my school during holidays and we would hear cases of people getting possessed. We used to call this the spirit of the coin, wherein you need to place a coin on the board with letters and call upon any spirit you want and they will answer all the questions. Only problem is once you call them they won't want to leave in a hurry! or so I have heard.

I have never seen a ghost before (touchwood and never ever want to) and my parents, relatives, family friends and even here in London my landlords etc are staunch non believers of spirits, ghosts and supernatural things. In a way I'm very happy and grateful because I am such a chicken that if i ever saw one i will probably have a massive heart attack and die on the spot! Incidentally I am also rakshasa gana and have a strong moon (i think) as both my rasi and lagna being Chandran. I've always felt a bit peeved to be rakshasa gana but after reading this thread, i think it does have its benefits!

Dear Amala,

Sometimes ability to see Ghost can develop during pregnancy..so may be after you get married and have a kid you might develop the ability to see Ghosts!LOL

So don't worry..there is still time and some Ghost might show up soon!Ha Ha Ha.

Actually I find it a blessing sometimes to have the ability to see Ghosts..otherwise life will be so boring seeing humans day in a day out.

Not all Ghosts are bad..I remember when my younger was studying in Law College I was daily getting dreams that I see a person crossing the pedestrian crossing when it was not yet the green light to cross.

The same dream was going on for many days and I was wondering where is this place and who is this in my dream.

Then the dreams started becoming clearer where I could see my brother's college too.

Then the last dream was the person pointing towards my brother crossing the pedestrian crossing when it was not yet green signal and then I also see that person crossing and he(that person) gets knocked down by a car.

Then I was wondering if some ghost was trying to tell me something.

I asked my brother about his college and my brother said some college student was knocked down dead some few months ago at the pedestrian crossing.

Then I asked my brother "are you crossing when it's not yet green signal to cross?"

He said yes..when the traffic lights for the cars are orange and the cars are slowing down he crosses the road.

I told my brother that never take a chance like that cos some car might speed through the orange traffic light before it turns red and if you are crossing at that time you could get hit.

So Amala..see I did not even go to this place and I had no idea how my brother was crossing the road..a person who had died there before was showing me scenes of his own death and also warning me to prevent my brother from crossing the road when it's is not green signal yet.

After that the dreams stopped.

I used to wonder..how did that ghost manage to contact me?

My father told this story:

A man boasted that he doesn't believe in ghosts and not afraid of them even if they exist. His friends asked him to

drive a nail in a particular tree in the graveyard at midnight, to prove his statement. So he went to the graveyard at

midnight with a nail and hammer. He did not return for a long time. His friends were afraid to go and check, fearing

the appearance of ghosts! At dawn, they went to the tree and found him dead!! He had nailed his coat to the tree

and when trying to return, was pulled back, thought that a ghost was pulling him and died of a massive heart attack!!

So, he did have belief in ghosts...

P.S: Those who believe in ghosts might say that a real ghost appeared and killed him! :fear:

This is scary, right??

Dear Sri. Padmanabhan, Greetings.

I do have a fairly decent knowledge about spirits! :)

I used to play with Ouija board a lot when I was a kid. I am not so keen about ghosts now. If they like to ignore me, so be it! Actually, I don't blame them either!

I think, one should have quite a strong mind for the ghost to be visible. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

People shared their ghost stories here. I have an experience too. In that, I was mistook for a ghost; the guy mistook me got so scared, he had diarrhoea! I don't know if that is worth sharing...

Cheers!

Raghy Sir
Greetings
only when a person has weak mind, Ghosts come to him, persons like you having strong mind, might not see any Ghosts!!
There is also a belief among older generation that our Soul or AAVI goes goes while we sleep , keeping a rope like connection with the body!!That is the reason, elders in those days advise to wake up a person from sleep gently so that the AAVI gets back into the body; don't know how far this is true, but some people die while they sleep might be related to this reason, that the soul is not able to 'get in'.

However, when i was a kid, Jada Muni, Ratha Katteri, Kolluvai Pisachu, were the usual terms used to scare us. Since many members here are very scared about Ghosts, i am not narrating some more incidents that happened long back in my life!!

Thanks a Lot Shri Raghy Sir.... after a whole week and twodays amidst the stren looking Auditors, i had a hearty laugh after reading your experience. Thats really worth sharing and i enjoyed laughing a lot, imagining the condition of the person running around!!! LOL.....

Cheers.
