If I understand your post correctly, any family "Dosham" is always limited within the family and as per our tabra beliefs, family means the patrilineal family; people like the Nayars of Kerala who used to have matrilineal system, on the other hand, believe that 'family Dosham' is limited to the matrilineal family, i.e., it travels from one generation to the next through the children of the sisters of a person. In any case, "family Dosham" or 'kuDumba kuRRam' has nothing at all to do with Gotra and as of today nobody has said that any particular gotra has some 'Dosham'.

If the girl has a Dosham in her horoscope it will affect her husband also in an appropriate way. For example if the girl's horoscope shows dAridrya yOga, the income of the husband, however much it might be, will prove insufficient for the husband-wife family and it will always be in need of money or may get highly indebted.

I am sorry you are having a bad time.
Other than trying to find "dosham" or other external causes have you tried to improve your situation by looking for better opportunity. May be additional training or changing the place of employment might improve your chances. You may not be "destined" to suffer, if you act like a victim you will be a victim.
Get over the victim mentality and try aggressively to find a better job or business. If you keep trying to find excuses for your misfortune, there is no end to it. It is your responsibility to improve your life by working smartly. Finding fault in Stars and planets position is not going to solve your problem.
Unless we accept our failures as our responsibilities we will never get over it.

Sir, Gone through all post, as a father for two girl children and as a Husband it is my responsibility to give them Good Education and happiness for that any father / mother would defiantly will not sit idle waiting for chance to come, only i my wife no how much effort / hardship we are doing for getting a Job, even i am trying for any type of job but that also i am not getting. Through my service earlier i know lot of people and the Owner of Big companies, they promise me to get job and finalize everything even interview goes of well and finally i dont know what happened the same person forget us and neither reply / take call, at least if he tells you are not eligible for this post then also i would get some satisfaction but a blank answer (turning away) with no response gives us more mental pressure. Like this there were 4-5 incidence all person are top most of the company like chairman, M.D, VP etc they them self offer me and suddenly afterwards they forget everything. What you will say about this.
Sometime i feel now only two way is left .........the circumstances makes the man to do. Since we are a very ritual person and from Brahmin family and i do daily Pooja with sandhyaavandanabecause of this at least we are having food two time and children are studying in good Engilsh medium school, by somehow with God grace i am getting this and thanks to him that my children are not sleeping hungry, only financial problem makes us mental agony.

You believe in Karma isn't it?

If you do.. hope you understand that no one is an innocent victim of circumstances according to the theory of Karma..so even if you feel your wife's side Dosham is affecting you that only goes to show that you too have the compatible Karmic pattern to be "affected" by this.

So now tell me..what can you do about that?

According to Karma..NOTHING can be done is the answer but that is your past Karma affecting you..there is also your present on going Karma being recorded by your thought,words and deeds..if you sit down and lament and become despondent you are only ruining your present.

The future none of us really know..so all your have is your present.

You cant change the past...so dont even think about it..concentrate on improving the present situation..try to get feed back from others as why you are not able to get the job you desire.

Is it becos you are trying at the wrong company or is there some specific skill the employers are looking for?

Try to think on those lines and not worry too much about the stars and the moon..we humans are suffused with Chaitanya..planets and stars are Inert.

So do you really think an Inert object can affect a Chaitanya suffused individual?

In such a state, one needs to have a fixation to get out of this low mood. Just as a child fixates on a parent figure (or grandparent or any other), one has to look up. Perhaps, that is why we have an all knowing God, placing trust on which we go about our work.

Astrology is one such support, the only requirement would be to treat it as a guidance and not as some sort of irrefutable word.

Here the reason is"He is expecting Failure in this thoughts' By doing so he INVITES FAILURES"

That is why i was telling him to think positive after the Interview that he would be selected, instead of focusing on Negatively.

When you are looking for reason of your failures in stars and others, you are not going to a Astrologer for recreation. That is a serious blame game. I know some of the astrologer will charge you an arm and leg to do some "pariharams". There is no guarantee that any of them work. But if gives you some consolation I am not against it.

Seeing the word Stress/anxiety/fear etc..let me add my professional opinion as a doctor..there seems to be slight undertones of depression in your posts.

Depression can make us feel stress..unable to cope and unable to adapt and that can unknowingly affect our job performance too.

So my advise to you is have faith in God and also seek some help in case there is really some amount of depression.

Please do not feel that I am calling you superstitious..after all didn't I tell you that Sangom Ji is also trying to help you out here with astrology?

Thought Theory believes in making one's own destiny through his words, deeds and thoughts. He believes in totally accepting responsibilty for his failures and misfortunes. At every point of one's life God gives you choices, and once you choose a choice you are destained to reach its result.

I have studied the horoscopes of both of you. Since I have not studied that particular branch of astrology which deals with supernatural entities, their "baadhai" and parihaarams therefor, etc., I cannot say whether the conclusion about brahmarakshas and that too from your wife's side was warranted or not.

Brahmarakshas is believed to be the soul or Atma of a brahmana who had learnt vedas, etc., and had lived the life of a brahmanan but could not get "paragathi" due to some reason; either the son/s or others who were supposed to perform the anthyeshti karmas failed to do those things, or, the brahmanan himself had committed a great sin. But the belief also is that such Brahmarakshases will occupy only the idol in the sanctum sanctorum of temples/reside in அரசமரம் in secluded areas and will not affect any family or person/s. Most possibly you might have shown your horoscopes to some Kerala origin astrologer, who is also into the mantravaadam, aabhichaaram, etc., lines. Such people will almost always say some things of this kind and also then suggest parihaarakriyas costing a huge amount and so on. It is their way of making a livelihood. So, it is better to avoid consulting such people.

To me it appears that both the horoscopes indicate some amount of pecuniary difficulties and problems during the current period. If you will calmly face this then better days will be there after some time, say after an year. In the intervening small period of time, you may consider - besides trying for any kind of job and accepting if something suitable comes up - doing some small home level business like making snack items and selling them to households in predominantly Iyer areas, take up catering or meals supply to households (and this second item is sure to have much reception today, especially if your products are genuine and you don't charge more than your competitors).

You can learn the "navagraha sooktam" from your vaadhyaar or some elderly person and start reciting it daily morning after sandhyaavandanam.

There is no need to feel despondent. The constant lesson in our life should be "This too shall pass!".

Though if I may suggest to Praveen, a separate section for members to post their CV may be opened, a kind of repository, where those in the capacity of recruiting (or similar assistance) may peruse the CVs and select them based on the standing. If need be, it may be also made mandatory that those who post their CVs also post their address, contact nos. references and valid identity (passport or some other). Those who intend to help can even anonymously download the CVs and assist, if possible. They could even verify if required. This way recruiting members wont be compelled to reveal their identity and the integrity of the CVs could also be maintained.

Yes you are absolutely right the Astrologer is from Kerala Trivanduram he is not a professional for public, he is one of member of Kerala Astrolger and he was also committee member of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Calibri, Geneva, sans-serif] and he was also one of the astrologer who conducted deva prasanam. Through a family friend and this astrologer his is Guru he approached him with a special case. And we were in touch with this person for for some time and all his prediction were right only my case he could not able to get any answer and just last week when we called up him just casually he talked to my wife for a very long time asking about all his family background, pooja the ritual etc which their family were doing but that time also he did not say anything and in point he got the answer and told about this. He has also written a Article about it which is in Malyalam but not published or posted in internet. I have seen many astrologers living very ordinary life, suffering from various healths related issues.


It’s an unfortunate fact that a great many people do not want to go to the work of making their own decisions. They want someone or something to tell them how to act, how to think, and how to feel. Astrology, like other religious beliefs, fills the bill.

When you are experiencing suffering and pain you tend to believe in Astrologers who take advantage of your situation, connect cosmic forces and movements of planets and treat your feelings of helplessness and meaninglessness;

Most astrologers make their planetary computations using only the planets known to the ancients; they don’t take into account those discovered by modern science (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto).

K. Parthasarathy, a famous Chennai city astrologer, committed suicide on January 17th morning because as per his astrology he would have died on January 21 2005.
This famous astrologer, lived in Chennai (Tamil Nadu - India), was 60 years old and was consulted by many VIPs, politicians, actors and actresses for several decades.
He was popular not only in Tamil Nadu but in the entire world.
Dignitaries used to come to his house from all parts of the world for consultation.

He was bestowed the title of ‘Jyotida Thilagam’ because of his scholarship and social standing.
If his death has happened as per his prediction, then he could have proved that the astrology is correct and accurate.

By committing suicide, he had PROVED that the 'so-called' astrology is as NOT correct, NOT accurate and totally wrong.

By committing suicide, it seems that he himself didn't have the faith in astrology to 'FACE' the 'HAPPENINGS'.

You can not fore-tell or have control over your future. Bandaranaike, the former Prime Minister of Sri Lanka postponed his oath taking ceremony by 30 minutes at the instance of his family astrologer to an 'auspicious' time but was assassinated before he completed his term.

Dear P J Sir,

Swami Kripanandha Vairyar used to say this. If we write 'L' and show to a person who knows English, he will read as 'L'

and a person who knows only Tamil will read as 'ta'. For the same letter two different pronunciations are given.

Astrology is a great ocean and difficult to learn completely. The 'arai vEkkadu' astrologers are many and they mislead

people. But I have seen some good astrologers predicting the future correctly. For example, in our close family circle,

there was a bad 'koottu dasai' for a pair of boy - girl horoscopes and the astrologer said that after 25 years of good life,

the couple may face either financial trouble and / or death of one of them. Girl has 'gaja kEsari yOgam' which will enable

her to face any sort of trouble in her life. The father of that girl said 25 years of good wedded life is enough and proceeded

with the alliance. A few months after the silver jubilee wedding day, husband died and financial position was also very bad!

The wife had a good job and continued to work and now earns handsome pension after her retirement. So, please don't say

that astrology is a fraud science! Many astrologers are frauds. That is all.
