Breifly introducing my self as Ramesh a brahmin from Tiruvannamalai. During my young age I was memeber of Brahmin Association youth wing at Vellore. I quit the post because only rich people are given attention and those do physical work are treated as slaves. The missing thing in our community is unity. Every one has huge ego and they are continuously feeding the ego.

Ramesh,

This is Curse in our community. Not only in Thiruvannamalai but elsewhere Brahmins Association is not at all functioning.

Rich people tries to dominate and suppress the poor but hard working.

Now the association became a Letter Pad Association and shows its head only during election for want of some collection.

sarvojanaha sukino bavanthu

I am given the opportunity by mother nature or satguru to enjoy the bliss of many devotees of almighty and i am blessed with the divine love experience through out my life , in each activity i am going through. The reason why i have quoted saying sarvo janaha sukino bavanthu". It is inspiring to experience of seeing every creation of this universe as the Parabrahmam and respect each other for their skills and consider life as the "objective for enriching the knowledge of GOD and enjoy his bliss through his devotees whomsover we come across.

I really love lord krishna for his divine smile throughout his life as the saviour of our humam race and he remaind nutral always and someway or other help those came to him surrendering. Just as Brighu rishi said , though all forms of god is one and the same but the avatar as Krishna, the vishnu is great for the unexpected care he takes on his beloveds , especially seen with Ajamila, Gaja Raja and so many. Even the asuras attained mukthi only , including Sisupal who has the best award for scolding him. Chyamanthaga mani stealer is the best title given by his own people for whose welfare,lORD kRISHNA WORKED THROUGH OUT.

BUT HIS SMILE CONTINEUES, THE EMBODIMENT OF BAGAVAD GEETHA. KRISHNA IS THE REAL TRUE LOVER TO BE LOVED.
AND SO I AM....ALL THE BEST OF KRISHNA'S INSPIRING LOVE TO ALL OF YOU.
VASUDEVAN HARIHARAN, THE CONCEPT DEVELOPER FOR " GRADVAS". (GREAT REJUVENATION AWARENESS AND DIRECTION FOR HAPPY MENTAL STATUS IN DAILY LIFE)

Dear Ramesh,
You are right and that is the curse of your community as rightly said by Mr Sankara Narayanan.
Even in this forum I have seen few posts which personally attacks others as if they are the supreme being.
Hope things improve with the entry of people like you. Welcome to the forum

hi ramesh,

i do not mean to be disrespectful. is there by any chance, that your ego better of you, and hence you quit the brahmin association? if you had been egoless, would you not have done whatever is assigned to you, to the best of your skills, and perhaps, worked from inside to change things?

please do not read this as mocking or insulting. it is a reflection of my thoughts when i read your post. thank you. :)

Dear Sankara Narayanan,
The problem is not only with your community. It is there in every community. As I planned to join in one my community association, there are so many hurdles. The first thing is the joining fees. Even if i am ready to pay, there is no proper place for the association. One of the office bearer's parking lot is the place utilized for that purpose. :(
All big big shots are the office bearers and they will decide everything :(

dear Friends, After becoming the member about couple of months back, I find that majority of us are of same opinion, meaning that Tamil Brahmins should show unity in the larger interest of our community, setting aside ill-will & resist personal comments. In this computer savvy era, we are blessed , since almost 90 % of our young Boys/ Girls study well & get fixed in enviable soft ware profession , mostly in U.s. I do not think any of them would be either narrow minded or develop Ego , in detriment to our community ? On the other hand, these guys do well in U.s. not only in their professional field, but also enjoy life by visiting places/ Temples & even other countries on vacation. I think a trend set by the senior Men/ women who had come to U. s about 20 years back have set the life , which includes visit of parents , who would have never ever dreamed , hailing from remote villages?
We can affirm that good majority have prospered & there is continuous exodus of our boys/ girls , not only to America , but also to other countries like U. K / Aussie
What is required now is to ensure positive , planned action on the following :- 1) The Brahmin Forum has to seriously chalk out the under privileged brahmin boys/ girls data & publish the same for the benefit of the Professionals, settled in U. S & other countries & entrust the responsibility of finding ways & means to help them to follow the right path , already streaded by these fortunate people.
I appeal to all members to take part as and when the Forum chalks out Action Plan & involve in its implementation.

Dear Rishikesan,
A very good idea. There are many well settled and affluent Brahmin families in India too. you can make an appeal to all those who have come up in life and request them to help the community members wherever they are (India or abroad)

Hi I'm in Poland and Im trying to study the Hindu Scriptures, I found some interesting topics on our Aryan Society hopefully with goood prospects all be well, sorry for my English, my nick Goverthana also I like myself to be called Goverthana cause it is a name of Thy Allmighty Krishna.

Dear Shri VK Raman,

I am not able to play any of the songs as the format is not supported by WM Player. I have on this PC WM Player 11, VLC, iTunes. I installed on flv player but still not able to play. I had the good fortune of listening to bhajans by Pudukottai Gopalakrishna Bhagavatar way back in 1967-68 in Nagpur when I was in College. I used to attend & take part in bhajans regularly there. In Pune, we were blessed by Sanjeevi Bhagavatar who came to our place and performed uncavritti & divyanamam. He stayed with us.

Namaste to all
I am at Bangalore and aged 75. Me and my wife are all alone. My son and daughter are at USA and son has naturalised himself as US citizen. Can he do all the poojas etc., of course nationality does not come at all. I am rather disappointed about him that too being only son. I cant write any more for now
Swamynathan

Dear Shri Swamynathan,

I am 63 years old living in Pune. You are not the only one who is in this situation. It is really sad that many of our children My wife's maternal aunt has two grown up sons who are both over 40 years and unmarried. However, instead of taking care of their mother, who became a widow few years back and who is over 70 years, these worthies are working abroad. What is the use of making money and for whom? Instead of taking care of their aged mother who lives alone in Mumbai, these fellows are living abroad. It is really painful to see many such instances where the children have just forgotten their duty towards their parents. I can tell this because though I had a serious accident 10 years back after which my legs are paralysed (right more than the left) and I need to walk with a stick with difficulty & constantly in pain, our aged mother who is now 90 years old and totally bed ridden & needs to be bathes, fed etc. is with us. My wife's health is also not good, she is a diabetic and has severe problem with her legs. I do not want to boast but I am telling this so that tomorrow this act can inspire our younger generation. I would like to set an example. My father was with us till he expired in 1998. After accident, for a few years before I could rehabilitate myself, my elder sister was taking care of my mother. Since the past 4 years my mother is with us.
Now for the puja part. One can do the nityakarma and puja wherever one is living. There is no restriction but one should remember one's duties towards parents. mAtRu devo bhava, pitRu devo bhava, AcArya devo bhava. I hope I have not hurt anyone's sentiments by expressing my opinion in a free and frank manner.

Dear Brahmin Colleagues,

I am Ramesh from chennai. My Id is ramesh6478. I am working as an Asst. Manager in BPO industry and happy to participate in our brahmin's forum..

Dear MrSwamynathan, I have read your write-up at #2420. Please read mine at #2415. & also that of Mrr. Suresh Kumar at #2417 supporting my opinion. I am interested to have more interaction with elderly , because I am also in the same age group. Majority of T. N. Brahmins whose Sons live in America, may be experiencing similar conditions. Let us form an Informal group & have useful/ open interaction, ( can be through E- Mails ) It will lead us to better understanding & analysing the reasons for such situations, on which we have no control. Please give your comments on my write- up so that, we 2 can understand ourselves first, before we proceed further. Thanks

A. Sinivasan ( Rishikesan/ for this site)
