Dear Renukaji
RRji has lost her balance after coming to know many TBs hug . she is shattered would be an understatement.

She is now giving up her demand regarding banning topless Mamas .

She might even invite them for get together organised in temples near her place.

do you know some TB girls parents are suggesting informal meeting of boy and his parents with prospective girl and parents at temples instead of homes.

a new trend in match making in chennai.

I understand girls do not like to be paraded before boys as in olden days in their homes

hence this arrangement.

Dear Krish ji,

I know the trend of meeting bride and groom in temples..it was there even in my "younger" days.

In fact some of my friends got married like that.

But for me I never left the home to be viewed by a groom.

I felt that if a groom wanted to view me he should make the effort to come to my house and view me and I wont leave my house to view him outside.

The reason is..he is a perfect stranger and not a boyfriend..so I prefer the traditional way of viewing at home.It maintains the dignity and respect of the girl.

I didnt feel as if I was paraded becos it was just like a meeting and I too sat and spoke with the grooms family.

With my husbands family when they came to view me the 1st time..I even played the piano for them.My father in law wanted to hear me play.So I played.

Its no big deal.

Krish ji,

This is latest info from Delhi..I asked a Nortie friend about hugging trend.

He said no male will hug a female.

He said during functions..males hug males only.. and females hug females only.

He said even kissing on cheek is not done..it is only done by elderly ladies to small little kids.

My friend is a modern person and he never heard of such hugging anywhere in North.

So there you go..I dont think serial hugging is a trend!

In Indian circle male female hugging is not common. Even in mixed company if the female offers to hug then only I respond.

Jesudas should speak up for himself and no one else should give reasons as why he should be allowed or disallowed.

Doctor Mam,

I reproduce hereunder extract of news item appeared in IBN Live dated: June 17, 2007.

Yesudas is a singer who has sung an immense number of Hindu devotional songs. Yet it is him who is not being allowed into Guruvayoor temple because he happens to be a Christian.

When asked if this is severe injustice, the singer said,
“I am not saying injustice or anything. For me Krishna, Christ are all the same. I sing Muslim songs also. My father taught me that you are a singer; you should be like a free bird. That is the advice I have stuck to all my life.”

Is Yesudas is allowed entry into Guruvayoor, would that freedom is given to the common citizens or only to VIPs?

“Let them first decide whether they want to allow me or not. We will look at that issue then. That question is for later,” Yesudas said.

“A new day will come. The sun will rise when I will be allowed to go inside the temple without any hassles. Lets wait for that day,” the singer added.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for the post and info.

I think Jesudas truly spoke golden words.

This shows that Krish Sir is really ultra modern mAmA.

BTW, I am not at all shattered as Krish Sir fears! :nono:

I can handle the naughty mAmAs, even if they come for the next forum get together!

dear RR ji,

There is more..I asked him if any hugging happens during Holi and he said 'Hey have you forgotten how we used to play Holi in college times? Did you see anyone hug anyone"

Then my friend (also a doc) said "BTW why are you asking these questions? Who told you in North during Holi people hug each other?"

I like the view that anyone who is not anti hindu should be free to enter a hindu temple.........
Cool!! But how do we find it out? :spy:

To have VIP dharshan at the Tirumala temple, my Iyer friends joined the group of one Jeeyar swamigaL, disguised as Iyengars!

The transfer from pattai to nAmam went unnoticed!

Do not criticize Hinduism or Brahmins in this site for the heck of it...You have violent and pornographic stuff including incest and homosexuality in your Church & Christianity

Did God commit incest and homosexuality? A brahmin is one who sheds ego, is open to criticism and corrects himself, who is above all emotions and ... many more. Quit bursting out, learn to remain composed, maintain equanimity, ane above all humility. These and many other positive traits have helped us, brahmin women, to conquer great heights. Follow us. Aspire to be commanding as we are and not demanding.

And.....last but not the least.....cease from misunderstanding! as much as sporting a namam does not make one an iyengar, mention of christ does not make one a christian. a brahmin does not jump to conclusions, invariably amiss.

A Hindu would not step into any temple that discriminates human beings. A place/structure that discriminates does not deserve status of a temple.

At one point of time proselytizers in gay abandon were targeting poor Hindus and at the same time vilified the native religion..It is to prevent non Hindus, non believers and atheists who come to Temple for bird watching or other criminal activities that this practice of now allowing them or making them sign a declaration got established..When we throw away all such people from our Hindu land, we will allow every one..Till then we will show partiality towards Hindus, rightly

If you have strong conviction about your faith, you will be impartial, you will not be overcome with fear of proselytization.

Proselytizers do not have a universal brotherhood or global good agenda!

Why can't you guys go to Europe and at least make the people visit Church...

Why are you focusing your attention on poor countries!

Why are you involved in terrorist activities in various parts where you have spread the Gospel ?
