My Shirdi trip- some thoughts and questions

I refer to post no.18.
In India,I never visited Shirdi Sai Mandir. In fact, there is a famous Shirdi Sai Temple in Lodhi Colony,New Delhi where my first daughter stays in one of the Govt Quarters.Whenever,I go to stay with her,the entire family will go there. They used to request me to accompany them and I used to decline.
After coming to USA,I visit some temples and also Shirdi Sai Mandir every Thursday for 'Madhyan Arti'.
There is too much noise among devotees in Temples, but the atmosphere in Shirdi Sai Mandir is very peaceful. On an average,300 devotees come for this Arti. There are 400 volunteers manning this Mandir and there are no priests.I love to visit this temple.
I refer to post No.70.
I recommend persons living in USA(california State) to visit the Shirdi Sai Mandir,Milipitus if they get an opportunity and see for themselves.
In a newly started Hindu Temple "SVCC Fremont",one tamilian lady visited during Sahasranama Puja to Lord Siddhi Vinayaka one day.
It appears that she wanted some copies of a book to be kept in the Temple.I told her the place where books are kept.
I requested her to spare a copy for myself. On perusal,I found that The book is a giude to visit the house where Shirdi Sai Baba was born. The house has been acquired and a new temple has been constructed.
The original book was written by one V.B.KHER who was the person who took pains to locate the village and the house where Shirdi Sai Baba was born. He(Shirdi SAI BABA) was the eldest son of a Yajurvedi Desastha Brahmin in BADRI village
The book written by V.B.Kher has been translated into Tamil by TMT.Lakshmi.Translation-Supervision-And Scrutiny by G.Balasubramanian Retd Dy Director of Translations,Govt of Tamilnadu. The Book was published by Balakrishnan. It is a Free Publication.the Book in Tamil was printed in "Universal Screens,248,Ambujammal Street,Srinivasa Gandhi Nilayam,Alwarpet,Chennai-18.

Dear Sri BK,

If the book penned by V.B.Kher is a free publication does any one have a PDF copy of the same so that it can be posted here

I respect Shirdi Sai Baba. I do not think it is necessary to go into the varna/caste, parentage, education, etc., of a person like the Shirdi Baba in order to decide whether he deserves to be revered. For me the simple fact that he (i.e., the Shirdi Sai Baba) never tried to advertise any of his abilities, that he did not intend to earn even one rupee in all his life from holding himself as a guru/swamiji/godman etc., and continued to live as a "siddha" in a dilapidated Mandapam, is sufficient to make him a great Man unlike even the more advertised and more materialistic swamijis, gurus, godmen/godwomen, etc., for whom I have no sympathy.

What society has done to his "kabristhaan" after his death is a different item all together. We need not visit Shirdi or any of the (Shirdi) Sai temples in order to respect and revere Him in our mind.
