Oh, yeah! But there is a huge difference!......... More people visit Taj Mahal than the tiruvaiyaru samadhi. .......
Many more people visit museums too, displaying lots of stuffed animals !

1. Ramanuja's Thiruvarasu is where it is as permitted by the Agamas pertaining to the Srirangam Temple. those who have doubt may read the relevant Agama and then come here to lecture eloquently. Period.
2. The rule regarding closing of the temple during an eclipse-not only the Tirupati temple but many other temples in Tamilnadu also-has nothing to do with the God being scared of any of the Navagriha. It is part of the Agamic and Aradhana rules of the concerned temples. If you want to have darshan in a temple you have to follow the rules there. You can not get into a gurdwara without covering your scalp. That is the rule. If you can not follow that rule do not go to the temple. Worship the God at home. He will bless you even then. Or conveniently you can build a new temple with your own rules and keep it wide open during the eclipses and pray non-stop before the idol during the eclipse. LOL.
3. Not only Edu kontla vada but many other vadas (Siva variety) also go hungry during the eclipse. Go out and find out how many temples offer naivedhyam during eclipse and you will know the truth.
If Navagrahas are of no significance with or compared to Naryana - then why Tirumala temple is to be closed on April 4 becuse of the alignment of the Navagrahas resulting in Lunar Eclipse - Frightened about Raghu Kethu?!
Tirumala temple to be closed on April 4 - The Hindu
There is something called poetic liberty .
Yes! Hence the first line of that particular post!
Each devotee thinks his God or Goddess is THE Supreme.
Dear Narayan Sir,
I wrote
Sri Lalita Sahasranamam is also written by a devotee and has poetical beauty!
And, Dishithar was a devotee of Kamalamba. ray:
Madam, it is not merely a poetic liberty.
Sri Lalita sahasranamam says: "karAnguli nakOtpanna, nArAyana daShakruthiH
The dasavataras of Sriman Narayana were created out of the ten fingers of hand of Sri Lalita Tripurasundari.
Sri Lalita sahasranamam is a part of BrahmAnDa purANam and is the result of samvAdam between Lord Hayagreeva and the sage Agastya.
A very valid question.
It only shows that fear is a man felt emotion and we close temples!
BTW in Norse Mythology there is a very similar story of Rahu and Ketu and the Sun and Moon but here its about 2 wolves named Skoll and Hati that try to swallow the sun and the moon respectively and we get eclipses.
What a display of ignorance!!!
Eclipse time is not good for exposure for a vaishnavite and so it is not good time for exposure to his God also. A vaishnavite offers what is best for him to his God. Food cooked during eclipse and served during eclipse time is not good for a vaishnavite. It is bad for him. So it is bad for his God too. He will not offer it to God.
.
Jesus!
That means there is no spirit of total surrender and there seems to be elements of doubt.
A true Bhakta will not fear any situation and break into song and sing:
Why do I need fear Rahu and Ketu?
Only You matter to me O'Maha Vishnu?
Why close the temple and make my life dark,
I do not want the total eclipse of my heart.
Yes....I was kind of pleasantly surprised to read Garuda Dandaka where there is a stanza which states a situation where the hair on the body of Garuda standing becos he is embraced tightly by his wives Rudra and Sukreeti and the feel of their mammary glands on his body makes him happy..but since the hair on his body is standing..it makes the serpents on his body tremble with fear.
This is definitely poetic liberty and a real good imagination and the ever obsession with the mammary glands..male poets somehow never get enough!
Now I am in conversation with a butcher who knows only the chuk chuk chuk of his cleaver cutting the flesh.
I wonder whether he can ever understand Beethoven's 5th Symphony. When i speak about the Sonata, Andante,Scherzo or the beautiful Finale, he keeps chuk chuk chukking. When I say something about the pregnant and powerful periods of silence that intersperse the flow of the notes of sonata he looks up for a brief moment and continues with his chuk chuking.
But I do not lose hope.
Because I like this butcher chap for his flashes of brilliance and his energy level. LOL.
I thought the butcher would know Vyadha Gita!LOL
I think the Butcher should be cosiderate towards the butchered at the time of its death ! He should put in its mouth an udrani of Ganga jal and chant into it ears Naryana ! Naryana!! Naryan!!! to get his visa to Moksha like Ajmalia and sell his product as " Hindu Hallal " certified!
Siva, Siva!Is the butcher a Vaishnavite, since he is chanting only Narayana Narayana?
Siva, Siva!
The next Q will be his sub-sect!! :faint:

Regarding 5th Symphony, Beethoven was likely a beef eater, no? How come he produced such music while having decidedly unsattvic habits?
Butchers do have sub sects - on religious as well as caste-wise. There is a separate Muslim sect in Maharashtra doing Beef business. Illogical & superstitious thinking is the real stupidity.
