Well it set me thinking now and I have a question for you.

According to Sanskrit Prosody meters with 27 or more letters in each quarter are designated by the general term Dandaka.


Now the question..if for a Dandaka there has to be 27 or more letters in each quarter..what about a Randaka? How many letters there need to be?

Any idea? Can you ask the cuckoo outside your window if he knows any Andangkaka who might know the answer?LOL

I do not ask such things to my dear little cuckoo. So asked the andankaka that comes to take the food I offer to it after the daily ArAdhanA. It gave me a curious Kakaeyed look and then answered. It said:
between a dandaka and a randaka the letters will be in the ratio 4:18. You can now calculate and arrive at the exact figure for yourself. Then using its kAkAkshi nyAyam privilege it said further, ask your interlocutor to forget the dandaka and randaka and concentrate on the task in her hand as otherwise she may end up as a karakantakam. The cuckoo which was watching laughed very knowledgeably and quipped a mandukam in a karakantakam bizarre rhyming enthusiasts have an axe to grind now. LOL.

But whatever good for Him does not seem to be good for him - Why?

Whenever Naryana the Butcher butchered somebody mostly by deceit for example Mahabali in the end gave them Moksha and fulfilled their desires! This knwledge about Naryana has not percolated to butchers of Vaishnava type Hece they are reminded what his good for Him should be good for him as well He is not Naryana - should take a cue from Naryana - was suggested to pour ganga jal into the mouth of the butchered and Naryana Naryana Narayna into his ears and get him his visa to Mooksha!

Butchers do have sub sects - on religious as well as caste-wise. There is a separate Muslim sect in Maharashtra doing Beef business. Illogical & superstitious thinking is the real stupidity.

Do these Agama Permit Preserved Body be Kept with in the wall of Temple? I had a different experiance once in Srivilliputtur . The temple was closed as a dead body was lying in house outside the temple wall and was informed it will be opened only after the body is taken out and cremated!
Sri Ramanuja Acharya body is still preserved in Sriramgam temple!

I read in one place, Romans were burning dead bodies as ritual earlier. Then richer Romans that was cruel and start burying... Probably it was followed in the case of Ramanuja. Burning may be better space utilization-wise and on environment impact.

Ambujam Krishna is from TVS Family. I believe, TVS family belongs to Iyengar community. If I am wrong, please correct.

I appreciate your secular attitude. Anyone can chant Narayana Namam and similarly Shiva Namam also if everyone is like you or some mutt leaders, sporting vibhudhi. Can you please tell me any Namam tharitha mutt leader chants Shiva Shiva or Kabali Kabali during Ther festival while pulling the charriot (today Kabaleeswar Ther )?

If you will feel that Namam tharitha mutt leader should chant only Narayana Narayana, similar yardstick should apply to the mutt leader sporting vibhudhi.

Secularism should not be a one way traffic.

Dear Sir,

I had four years of hostel life during P U C and B Sc courses. I had a few good Muslim and Christian friends there. We always went to

the dining hall together. We never felt that we belonged to different religions because Maths was our strong connection! Even now,

those who have IC or IR weddings in my extended family,choose my house to have lunch / dinner. I value only the good nature!

But, so far, none of them have refused to have food with us!
