The choice of having more than a child is not a simple analysis, as there would be a multitude of factors sweeping across the sea of minds. To each his own, is what should be applied and it would be a futile reasoning if we were to even attempt a general view on this.
Currently in India 65% of the population is below 35 years....The same in our Tambrahm would be 45 plus years...
When the rest of the population is young in the next 25 years our Tam Brahm will have a very large ageing population...We will hardly have the productive youth...This will definitely impact the well being of the community...Our impact will be reduced to marginal...As far as country is concerned we will no more be in any rat race happy & contented as our community has already withered away !(Really sad! and not the usual LOL!)
We already have about 50K males in age of 30+ not married because of girl shortfall as shared in earlier threads
I do agree with you that the issues are different in different couples..But what is the common thread...The urban couples( who are majority in our community may be 90%) are indifferent to rearing a second child..May be laziness..May be high costs associated...May be no time for pregnancy and child birth as the mother is working
We need to help our family members have a second child....The couple also need to seek help...The help and support has to be done at a family level to support the couple...Else we need to do it at a community level...This is a trying time for the community...May be solution is tough...But we need to debate and find an answer to this
