Punya parupkaar paap te par pidaa............
Merit consists in doing good to others, sin in doing harm to others. There is no other pair comparable to this. Truth is the only religion (or freedom); untruth is bondage, there is no secret like this. God's name on one's lips is itself salvation, disregard (of the name) know to be perdition. Companionship of the good is the only heaven, studious indifference is hell. Tuka says: It is thus clear what is good and what is injurious, let people choose what they will.

Our ancient Puranas Shrimad Bhagavatam clearly mentions about the Sat-Sang.
We can clearly state that there is no other means for us to attain the highest welfare
other than through Sat-Sang. An intelligent person must therefore come forward
to reject all bad association and instead take up the association of Sat-Sang;
in other words, one has to take the association of Sat-Sang i.e. Bhagavad Priti
giving up all types of Asat-sangh. Our Sastras (Scriptures) are explicit in this
aspect and nothing hidden or implied about non-association. Bhaktas (Devotees)
who are well-versed always engage themselves in the search for the truth and
the path of eternal well being and they would also endeavour to hear the glories of
Sastras for a Sat-Sang. It is imperative for a person to live in a society of Sat-Sang
for not only their well-being but also for the Community to prosper.

A simple message which can be understood even by an illiterate takes us nearer to God, than the pompous, flowery, well rhymed poetry / prose!

I have also read and felt that if all the breath taking wonderful moments in a person's life are placed end to end they may last for a few minutes in the case of the lucky people and for a few seconds in the case of not-so-lucky people! Such is the nature of the human life!
