sorry to have posted it here, it should have gone to more appropriate thread.. I do apologize.. :-)

Dear Bushuji

Don't embarrass me by apologizing, please. It is indeed a beautiful song! But you must only worry if you post any kuthu songs or similar in dear Anandi's navaratri thread! :)

Kind regards

Dear Friends

This is one beautiful song from the movie 'Agni Natchattiram' - தூங்காத விழிகள் ரெண்டு. Classic combination of Illayaraja, K.J. Yesudas and S. Janaki.

P.S. Going on a short holiday trip. Will be posting again by next weekend. Keep posting as usual, my Friends. :)

this song dedicated to valli, who i think, she will be away a few days :)

i am not sure what the true title of the movie is - is it patta patti 50 50 or potta potti. i have seen both. i have seen the movie, and reviewed it elsewhere.

sports theme movies, though not great in number, appear to come regularly to indian screen since lagaan's success. i have seen tamil movies with kabbadi teams as background and also jallikkattu, i think. for cricket this movie is a first in tamil, afaik.

the story is simple two groups of villagers take on a wager over winning a cricket match, cricket of which these know nothing.

ramesh, a passer by with a broken down car, gets roped in, and (ofcourse) falls and gets the most beautiful girl in the village.

i love the sight of south indian girls in our movies - whether they be harini in this movie, or amala paul or anjali. they give credibility to their roles. as opposed to bimboish tamanna or shreya or (worse) the chubby hansika in engeyum kadhal. the only fair north indian who fitted her role was tapassee, as an anglo indian, in aadukalam.

but i am wandering away, from the purpose of this post ie to get you to listen a fab easy going toe tapping duet - by hariharan mahathi, music arul dev

enjoy idhuvarai idhuvarai.. with some fabulous still shots :)

latest tamil song 2010 hariharan - YouTube

This is another favourite

I agree most of the heroines are bimboish but please don't call Tamanna so. I think shes absolutely adorable and the last time heard her speaking Tamil it wasn't bad at all. Shes making progress at any rate :).

I dunno why there are no Tamil girls acting these days. Actually were there ever any real Tamil heorines at all?

amala,

calliing someone 'bimbo' for me atleast, does not mean that i am not a fan. infact i love to watch both shreya saran (kanthasamy she was tops as a vamp) and tamanna (in siruthai, ayan et al).

but i feel, that a fair skinned north indian looking girl as a rural tamil belle, is stretching the imagination a far too much. nobody but an amala paul could have pulled the role of myna (or anjali).

hope that explains...
