[h=1]China's 'king of prophets' picks Trump as next US Prez[/h]November 04, 2016 20:27

A Chinese monkey described as the 'king of prophets' has chosen Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States.

The monkey had earlier successfully predicted the winner of football's European championship final this year, reports the Guardian.

Known as Geda, which means knots or goose bumps, the prophetic monkey is the latest in a series of purportedly psychic animals that have popped up around the world since Paul the Octopus correctly predicted multiple 2010 World Cup matches.

The monkey was given a chance to pick between bananas placed beside life-sized cut-outs of Trump and his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. The mystic monkey chose Trump after 'deliberate thought', Shiyanhu Ecological Tourism Park said on Thursday in a statement on its website.

Without even waiting, he congratulated the cardboard candidate with a kiss on the lips.

Throughout the world ,there is a swing towards extreme right.

Country like india opted for Modi

People are fed up of appeasement of minorities.

Democrats wooing latinos, hispanics, indians, other asians, afro americans is turning off the whites.

They wqould like a leader from their community who will look after their interests.

Policies like obama health care or other sops are turn off for them.

They do not want to subsidise anyone.

They want decent salaries and jobs ,not statistics.

They do not want jobs shifted overseas

They do not like mexicans getting in illegally or indians swamping the US collecting various visas..

They would not like to fight useless wars in middle east and other places.

I wish they get what they want.

American isolation would be good for the americans and the whole world.

Hi Krish44
That part caught my attention because I was reminded of the American's Vietnam war.
I was in India then and the general feeling in India was, why was America meddling in affairs that have nothing to do with their borders.
India was friendly with Russia then and getting MIG fighter from Russia.
Is this the same old mentality creeping back into India.

Clinton inching up closer to the Poll date!! But it may turn out to be the century's cliffhanger!!

[h=1]Polls predict narrow to major win for Clinton[/h]

November 05, 2016 08:35

The race to the White House is tightening with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leading her Republican rival by just two percentage points, a latest opinion poll has said.

An estimated 200 million United States voters would elect their next president on November 8. More than 35 million of them have already casted their votes.

Fox News, in its latest poll, said that Trump (43 per cent) was trailing behind Clinton (45 per cent) by two percentage points. A week ago Clinton was up by three points and by six points in mid-October.

Another major media outlet for the first time projected Hilary's electoral college votes below the half way mark of 270.

The CNN, in its latest projections of electoral maps, predicted 268 electoral college votes, two short of the half way mark of 270 required to be declared elected in the 2016 presidential elections.

The major US media outlet reported that Trump has gained quite a bit in the past two weeks, in particular after the Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey announced last week to re-open the investigation in to the alleged email scandal of Clinton.

In RealClearPolitics, which keeps tracks of all major polls, Clinton's lead in the average of polls is 1.6 percentage points. The 'polls only' model of legendary Nate Silver from The New York Times said that Clinton had 67.8 percentage chance of winning the November 8 presidential elections.

The Huffington Post said that Clinton had a 97.9 per cent chances of winning the elections, even as Trump appears to have a late surge.

Princeton Election Consortium also gives Clinton a much higher chance of winning the election.

...Julian Assange Says...
This Australian Ass is really getting a lot of publicity. First of all as an Australian why is he trying to misuse the freedom of the internet to subvert the American elections to whatever he wants it to be. I think he or any other foreigner who has no vested interests in America should not be allowed to comment and the media should also ignore such outside indulgences. This election is really taking a toll on settlers like me in America.

*Trump's first day at the Oval Office after being elected President.*

First briefing by the CIA, Pentagon, FBI:

Trump: We must destroy ISIS immediately. No delays.

CIA: We cannot do that, sir. We created them along with Turkey, Saudi, Qatar and others.

Trump: The Democrats created them.

CIA: We created ISIS, sir. You need them or else you would lose funding from the natural gas lobby.

Trump: Stop funding Pakistan. Let India deal with them.

CIA: We can't do that.

Trump: Why is that?

CIA: India will cut Balochistan out of Pak.

Trump: I don't care.

CIA: India will have peace in Kashmir. They will stop buying our weapons. They will become a superpower. We have to fund Pakistan to keep India busy in Kashmir.

Trump: But you have to destroy the Taliban.

CIA: Sir, we can't do that. We created the Taliban to keep Russia in check during the 80s. Now they are keeping Pakistan busy and away from their nukes.

Trump: We have to destroy terror sponsoring regimes in the Middle East. Let us start with the Saudis.

Pentagon: Sir, we can't do that. We created those regimes because we wanted their oil. We can't have democracy there, otherwise their people will get that oil - and we cannot let their people own it.

Trump: Then, let us invade Iran.

Pentagon: We cannot do that either, sir.

Trump: Why not?

CIA: We are talking to them, sir.

Trump: What? Why?

CIA: We want our Stealth Drones back. If we attack them, Russia will obliterate us as they did to our buddy ISIS in Syria. Besides we need Iran to keep Israel in check.

Trump: Then let us invade Iraq again.

CIA: Sir, our friends (ISIS) are already occupying 1/3rd of Iraq.

Trump: Why not the whole of Iraq?

CIA: We need the Shi'ite govt of Iraq to keep ISIS in check.

Trump: I am banning Muslims from entering US.

FBI: We can't do that.

Trump: Why not?

FBI: Then our own population will become fearless.

Trump: I am deporting all illegal immigrants to south of the border.

Border patrol: You can't do that, sir.

Trump: Why not?

Border patrol: If they're gone, who will build the wall?

Trump: I am banning H1B visas.

USCIS: You cannot do that.

Trump: Why?

Chief of Staff: If you do so, we'll have to outsource White House operations to Bangalore. Which is in India.

Trump (sweating profusely by now): What the hell should I do as President???

CIA: Enjoy the White House, sir! We will take care of the rest!

Hi Ganesh
That is really funny. I won't be surprised if this eventually becomes a beginning script for a Broadway comedy play!
May be it will be called "Trumpland".

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has claimed that the Americans are living through the "greatest jobs theft" in the history of the world, saying US companies were moving out jobs to countries like India, China, Mexico and Singapore.

"America has lost 70,000 factories since China entered the World Trade Organisation, another Bill and Hillary backed disaster. We are living through the greatest jobs theft in the history of the world. There's never been a country that's lost jobs like we do, so stupidly, so easy to solve," he said while addressing his supporters in Tampa, Florida yesterday.

"Goodrich Lighting Systems laid off 255 workers and moved their jobs to India. Baxter Health Care Corporation laid off 199 workers and moved their jobs to Singapore. Essilor Laboratories laid off 181 workers and moved their jobs, surprise, to Mexico. It's getting worse and worse and worse," he added.

Although this report seems to be pretty old, but seems still holds weight...

[h=1]Companies 'Outsource' Because That's Where The Sales Are[/h]
The political war against “off-shoring” — which is what the critics usually mean when they use the term “outsourcing” — is raging this election year, in part because of Democrats’ failed efforts to stimulate the economy. But there is an important reason why many U.S. companies open stores, build factories and hire people overseas: That’s where the sales are.
General Electric Chief Executive Jeffery Immelt, a close Obama advisor, told the Wall Street Journal last year that 30 percent of GE’s business was overseas in 2000; today it’s 46 percent, and the majority of GE’s employees are now overseas.
Ditto for Caterpillar, whose overseas workforce grew by 39 percent between 2005 and 2010, compared to a 7.8 percent U.S. increase.

A 2011 report from the U.S. Commerce Department says that about a third of the roughly 31 million U.S. employees of multinational firms work abroad — and growing. That’s because with only about 4 percent of the world’s population and a burgeoning middle class in several heavily populated developing countries, such as Brazil, Russia, India and China, the fastest growing markets are outside the U.S.
But first, let’s clear up some of the confusion surrounding the terms. Outsourcing is when a company contracts with an outside person or company to provide some product or service, such as bookkeeping, payroll processing or janitorial services, or more complicated functions like marketing or IT services. And families do the same thing when they turn to professionals for major plumbing, air conditioner or car repairs.

Economists refer to this process of turning to those who can produce a product or service at a lower marginal cost as “comparative advantage,” and it’s the key ingredient to an efficient and productive economy.
If a company outsources jobs to another country, that’s off-shoring. However, companies can also build stores or factories in foreign countries and hire the people who work there. That’s also off-shoring, but it isn’t necessarily outsourcing. Those are company employees, both American and foreign.
From an economics standpoint, it makes no difference whether or not that outsourcing is with a person or firm in the same town, state or country. Economics is unconcerned with national borders; politics, on the other hand, is very concerned, and especially in this economic climate.
Frankly, it isn’t entirely clear what the critics of outsourcing, or off-shoring, want to stop. An Obama ad says Mitt Romney “supports tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas,” and accuses Romney of supporting outsourcing while Obama believes in “insourcing.”
But Wal-Mart is opening stores all over the world and hiring people to man them. The Wall Street Journal reports the company added 100,000 employees outside of the U.S. last year. How is the company supposed to staff its stores unless it hires nationals who live there and speak the language? Should Wal-Mart be forced to pay higher taxes, which is what the president wants, for growing and competing overseas?

Brisk voting in US right now...Looks like a nail biting finish....Can the result be flipped by a toss of a coin?

Indian media has no time for US to day they are busy with the currency withdrawal...
Ganesh,
Kindly clarify what is happening. I have some 500 and 1000 Rs notes here with me so we cash on hand when we arrive on visit to India. How can we convert those from here. What is the legal tender bills now. Does it start at Rs100 notes and are 500 and 1000 notes illegal?
Appreciate further info on this or send me an official Indian Govt website where I can read for myself.

No need of panic The old notes can be exchanged or deposited into banks from 10th Nov to 31 Dec Hope there must be some mechanism for people out side India like branches of Indian banks It can also be exchanged from RBI till 31st march. Try to tune into some Indian news channels. No other news on air at present

Someday, maybe, when I’m old and a child asks me what I remember about the awful election of 2016, I’ll say: It was the Big Reveal.

Revealed: That the guiding spirit of the modern conservative movement is neither Burke nor Lincoln. It’s Marx. “These are my principles,” Groucho once cracked, “and if you don’t like them, well, I have others.” Everything Republicans once claimed to advocate—entitlement reform, free trade, standing up to dictators, encouraging the march of freedom around the world—turns out to be negotiable and reversible, depending on Donald Trump’s whims and the furies of his base.

Revealed: That moral clarity and moral equivalence have become interchangeable concepts in today’s GOP. The same Republicans who pontificated throughout the 1990s about restoring honor and dignity to the Oval Office are now eager to rent that office to a man who boasts of his own sexual predations. Why? Because Bill Clinton already went there.

Revealed: That Mr. Trump’s unrelenting and apparently irrepressible bigotry, misogyny, bullying and conspiracy-mongering won’t keep Republican leaders from supporting him, provided he mouth pieties about appointing more Scalias to the court or cutting corporate tax rates. “More common ground than disagreement,” was how House Speaker Paul Ryan justified his June endorsement of the GOP nominee, right around the time he described Mr. Trump’s slander of “Mexican” judge Gonzalo Curiel as a “textbook definition of a racist comment.” A smarter response by the speaker might have been: “You lost me at hello.”Also revealed: That conservatives who once took umbrage at being called racist or anti-Semitic are now happy to flirt with white nationalism. That a party of self-described strict constructionists sees nothing amiss in Mr. Trump’s call to rewrite the 14th Amendment. That the ability of Mr. Trump and his supporters to hurl insults at their critics is only exceeded by their exquisite sensitivity when they are insulted back. That a reset with Russia is a fiasco when executed by Hillary Clinton but evidence of fresh foreign-policy thinking when proposed by Mr. Trump.

They are busy devising ever-more elaborate excuses for the Republican nominee. A flawed messenger for a worthy message. An agent of mass disruption in an era of secular stagnation. A hollow man who may yet take our good advice and stumble his way to greatness. A jerk who nonetheless compares favorably to Mrs. Clinton.

What all this shows is that most conservative intellectuals have proved incapable of self-examination or even simple observation. Donald Trump is a demagogue. Period. The fervor of his crowds recalls Nasser’s Egypt. His convictions are illiberal. His manners are disgusting. His temper is frightening. It ought to have been the job of thoughtful conservatives in this season to point this out, time and again. If they can’t do that, what good are they?

George Orwell said that “to see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.” The Big Reveal of 2016 is that most conservatives failed the Orwell test. On Tuesday we’ll learn if American voters can do better.
