[h=1]எண்ணைக்கிண்ணம்[/h]

மன்னுலகில் உண்டு” என்றான்;

“ஒரு முறை கூட எண்ணவில்லை;

NARADA’S PRIDE.

images.jpeg

NAradA became proud of his incessant Bhakti towards Lord Vishnu. The Lord always punctures the bloated pride in his own subtle ways.

He told NAradA to visit one His best bhaktAs in the world. That man was a farmer. He would work all day long like a dog. He would utter the name of Hari just twice a day – once when he woke up from his sleep and again when he retired at night.

NAradA was amused that this man could be one of the best bhaktAs of Lord Vishnu.
Lord handed over to NAradAa cup filled with oil to its brim and told him to go round the world once, without spilling even a drop of the oil.

When he returned after a while, the Lord asked him, how many times he chanted the name of Hari. NAradA spoke the truth that his mind was so much preoccupied with oil cup that he did not utter the name of God even once.

Lord posed a question to him.
“If you can’t remember me for an instance when entrusted with a tiny chore, how great is the man who in spite of living in the world with all the burden of samsArA remembers me at least twice day?”

NAradA admitted that the ‘samsAri’ farmer was indeed a better baktA than the ‘sanchAri’ nAradA.

I was told that if there were a Unit for beauty it will be Troy! :)

Naturally we will have the other units ranging from Milli Troy to Kilo Troy!

Children too have some concept of this Troy units.

My grandson TJ was smooching the P.C. screen when he saw my mother on Skype chat.

There after he wanted to see his "Big Patti" everyday on Skype.

"Big" because of her age and actually she will be less than half my mass!

When my grand daughter saw this "big paatti" on Skype this weekend

the first thing she said was "Pretty Patti!"

Howzzaat??? :)

We get accustomed to our daily routine...good/bad/ugly!
So when a person running in the Sun just for Fun (?)
is kept comfortably in an air conditioned house :couch2:
he might feel it to be a kind of punishment (house arrest?)
instead of enjoying the cool, calm and relaxing life style!!!

Adults CAN be as childish and unreasonable as small kids.
What then is the difference between those two?
Nothing except the difference in their ages
stated in decades (or multiples of tens)!!! :)

In the ISKCON centres, regularly conduct meditation programme classes
explaining the object of chanting Hare Krishna Mantras and its effects
in a person's life. Yoga classes are also conducted. Yoga is just
to make everyone understand the body and mind coordination and thus create
an awakening of a relationship with the Supreme, with a view to explain
that God lives in our hearts. Besides Bhakti Immersion week end programmes
of traditional Hare Krishna consciousness are also conducted. Patanjali
Yoga Sutras with the meaning are explained. While meditation classes
are conducted, simultaneously Silent Mantra Meditation exercises, and
Bhajans are also arranged with a harmonium accompanied Kirthanas. One
of the devotees as an observer heard the Mantra of Radhe, Jaya Jaya
Madhava Daiyite and she practised that in her daily meditation, and that
brought her a total change in her life.

Subject: Rome's Cicero's (106 - 43 BC) philosophy - Not far from the truth even today !!
Rome's (of the Roman empire) Cicero's (106 - 43 BC) philosophy is still valid even today, for any country of our globe:

01. The poor: work and work,
02. The rich: exploit the poor,
03. The soldier: protects both,
04. The taxpayer: pays for all three,
05. The wanderer: rests for all four,
06. The drunk: drinks for all five,
07. The banker: robs all six,
08. The lawyer: misleads all seven,
09. The doctor: kills all eight,
10. The undertaker: buries all nine,
11. The Politician: lives happily on the account of all ten.

Not far from the truth even today !!!

What to do...It really makes me a headache and giddiness and nausea.

Other smell I can't stand is Sambraani.

But there is one flower I like but it is only found in Malay graveyards..that smells nice.
It's called Bunga Cempaka in Malay..I have no idea what it is called in other languages.

Sowbagyavathy Renuka, Greetings.

I like that flower too.. in fact most persons in this forum would like that too. It is called "shenbagam" in Tamizh. Very nice fragrance.

The top flower is Bunga cempaka .. it comes in yellow colour too ( yellow colour has lesser fragrance). The second flower is Shenbagam also known as "Bangalore Sampanghi"....

Cheers!

But these flowers have a very strong (going-straight-to-one's-head-kind-of ) smell!!

The two extremes!!! :decision:

Dear Renuka,

You mentioned in one of your messages about an article you read in Deccan Herald about 'asexual' persons...... Here is an article I read recently conveying just the opposite! About a couple 'ore sexual!'.. looks like they don't do anything else. Quite hilarious article!..

Police right to charge South Australian couple Jessica Angel and Colin MacKenzie over noisy sex, poll says | News.com.au

Cheers!

Sometimes I wished I lived in a place that didn't have neighbours.
When I go to work in the morning around 8 am..I really do not have the time to talk or listen to anyone's stories.

Sometimes I wished the lady next door wont waste my time and distract me in the morning.
I am forced to put my fake smile and forced to act as if I am hearing her out!

She has many children..either someone is getting married or someone is giving birth.

She has lots of grandchildren but I really have no time to hear who gave birth to which baby and who is recent entry into this world etc.

This is not what I want to be chatting about in the morning!

As long as people are having sex and failure of contraception takes place grandchildren will be born into this world. So what is the big deal?

Even when I delivered..I never told anyone about it(only my family and husbands family knew) and neither did my parents advertise to the whole world!

Only in the ester years, people had no idea of family planning. But then these

Dear sir,

For certain communities out here..their thinking is different.

Having many children and grandchildren is considered something to be proud ..have as many as possible.

So they keep bragging to each other that they have the most children and grandchildren.
For them having more children is considered a religious merit.
