Nothing but the Theory of Karma can explain such mysteries
beyond our feeble perception and feebler understanding!!! :tsk:

Sowbagyavathy VR, Greetings.

That quoted message was in relation to the/a baby found in the arms of a beggar. I don't think that explains karma theory. That only explains the inequities of wealth distribution in our system. We are tryiing to blame the victims by quoting 'karma theory' and trying to hide our own guilty feelings; we have done it so much, noone feels guilty anymore. We don't know for sure that baby lead a sinful life in the past janma to get such un-envious life in this life. Even if that was the case, where is the humane feeling from us? If half a dozen of us determine to change that baby's future for the better, we can do it. Do we do it? No! We blame the 'karma theory' and walk away. ( I know, one would ask, Raghy, what do you do to make any changes? I do, but not enough though; but I never blame a victim with karma theory).

Sowbagyavathy VR, it was quite disheartening to see the victim getting blamed. I know, you did not mean to sound it that way. But I have seen so many persons actually scowl at such a victim. So, kindly don't take it personally. I just voiced an opinion only. Nothing personal about anyone, please.

Cheers!

Yes , it should be a color filter!

Have a look at the Sun during the transit of Venus, recently.

I took this photo from the live relay that I saw in my PC! :photo:

Dear Mr. Raghy,
Child lifters steal children and turn them into beggars -
before or after reducing them to pitiable conditions.
In orphanages children are molested and ill treated.
Some parents themselves abuse their children
(more so in the West or more publicized in the West?)
Tell me how I can help them and lift them out of their miseries?
I am willing to do everything in my power to help them.
Out of millions of children born why ONLY
these pitiable creatures lead these miserable lives???
How do you explain this?

Righly siad, Shmt.Visalakshi Ramani.

No person in his/her conscious state of mind would believe that capable humans can change the miserable state of illfortunate humans across the globe. We can just dream about it and just as a compassionate human wish to have this dream coming true.

We can talk high and sound high out of our sense of humanity, compassion, empathy and love towards suffering fellow humans AND thereby can manage to change the life of one or two suffering humans for better. Again, only those fortunate/destined humans would have a chance by Luck to get transformed for a descent state of living by the help of a compassionate and capable human.

But, how feasible it is for the human race to eradicate suffering, poverty, cruelty, exploitation etc, across this Globe, once for all?

YES!! Humans if wish can bring about changes to better the survival of the whole human race. As such, such things are continuing to happen with the help of kind hearted humans and the needy are getting better and relief from their pitiable state of affairs, here and there, now and then. BUT, it is never 100% across the Globe.

Many humans fail to realize the Karma Concept of this creation and are in illusion that everything is in the hands of humans. And are blaming the Human Species solely for the sufferings of other illfortunate fellow humans.

Dear Mr. Ravi,
There more things than we can imagine or understand but
I am sure nothing happens without a purpose or a cause.
Newton's third law holds good everywhere.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Who are we to doubt the divine decisions of God.
Let us be good, kind and help others in every possible way.
Let us try to spread the Karma theory so that at least
the fear of future punishment will deter human from committing atrocities!

Unpleasant echoes

In the nineteenth century children were often told the story about a little boy who visited his aunt that lived in a valley where sounds were echoed. One day he came into the house and told her: “There is a bad little boy who lives up on the hill.” “Really? And how do you know he is bad?” inquired the aunt. “Because he called me bad names.” The aunt understood the situation. The little boy had called out something while playing and heard an echo of his voice. Thinking it was another child, he began calling out and became frustrated by the “bad boy” just repeating everything he said. So he started calling out insults, and got them back, so he went to “tell on” the bad boy to his aunt, who sat him down and told him the facts, showing him that he was only getting back what he had first projected. Karma is like an echo. What we shout will be shouted back at us.
Our life is a continuous stream of karmic echoes. Yes, others become instruments for the manifestation of the karma, but we are the origin of it all. So who shall we blame? As Pogo said: “We have met the enemy and they are us.” The answer is to get busy and change ourselves. Then our lives will change automatically.

Time flies or hangs around our necks heavily

depending on whether we like what we do
or are forced to do what we are expected to do! :clock:

Two years have rolled by since I entered the Forum quite unwillingly and
without any background knowledge of the working of a forum and
the types of people we would come across in it and
the types of treatment that will be handed out to us and
the comments that will be made on us and the other people
about whom they know nothing except that we love them dearly.

Two years, 14425 posts and 7194 blogs later
I have matured a lot even in my own eyes.

I have read a lot and written a lot. :nerd:

I am happy now I have nine blogs in Wordpress.com to my credit.
I plan to add more material to these blogs rather than create more new blogs in the future.

Kandapuranam might be completed in the Wordpress blog in about a week's time.

But posting the poems and their English translations in the forum will continue @ one per day.
The tile of the thread is "A poem a day..".

So I do not wish to dump everything on the unsuspecting heads at one go!

I am happy to note after two long years of hard work and dedication on my part,
seniors and well-read people of the forum have started taking note of my contributions
or find priceless pearls in my prattle! :)

Not that I felt sad earlier due to their indifference (if I may call it that).
As I used to say often as long a person knows his/ her OWN worth... recognition
or the absence of it hardly matters.
Thank you for your patience! :pray2:

How do you explain this?

I do not know how to explain that. But all I know is, I do not like to blame those children for their miseries in the name of karma, poorva janma palan etc. I don't know about others, I feel it is adding injury to insult. Now you are in USA. Kindly look around; you may not find a beggar with a child in hand while begging. I used the word 'may' because I have not been to USA. I know we 'will' not find a beggar with child in hand in Australia. Does that mean every single child born in Australia does not have any 'poorva janma karma' at all? Does it mean every single child born in Australia are only punyathmaas? All I know is, social security and child protection policies here are quite strong and seriously implemented. Not so, in India.

Tell me how I can help them and lift them out of their miseries?
I am willing to do everything in my power to help them.

Sowbagyavathy VR, you can help a lot. People like me can reach only a few; but people like you through your blogs can reach 100s if not 1000s of persons. Kindly make a blog about charitable institutions helping poor children in Tamil Nadu. You can very well bring an awareness to others. Indirectly you may help 100s if not even 1000s of children. I am going to add few links to lead to more links to NGOs and charitable institutions. I have not sorted anything out. Charitable institutions of various religions are given here. Irrespective of religious back ground, they have one thing in common, that is all of them seem to believe we may be able to help others irrespective of the karma of that person even if that was the case!

Child Help Organization India| Child Abuse Help | NGOS In TamilNadu | Child Education India | Free Medical Help | Non Governmental Organizations | Help A Child | Child Poverty In India | Blood Donation Camps | Help A Child In India | Help Orphans In

After reading your post my belief in Karma Theory has been redoubled.
Yes! Why was not the poor child born in Australia or America and WHY in India
which has no social security and child protection policies???
Being born as a beggar / becoming one is one thing.
Being born in India and becoming a beggar is another.
Thanks for making my work easier. Since you have given all the links
interested persons can look up and do their best to help the cause.

Sowbagyavathy VR, Greetings.
