A shocking news in kolkata. 3 women aged 81, 47, 35 (mother and 2 daughters) committed suicide from the terrace of a 35 storey apartment (south city). They are living in golf green and they came to the building they choose as a suicide spot by their car. Difficult to find out the reason by the police. The pity is there was none to claim the body for about 40 hours and only a distant relative claimed and did the funeral.

Mind Map is an important factor for any think-tank process. If it matches or
suits perfectly to innovative thinking, think-tank will be more effective.
But it needs and consumes all the skills generally found with creativity,
particularly individual imagination, association with original ideas and flexibility
to accommodate any process that may suit in. Only the more meaningful
connections, one makes, the better it will be remembered always.

Thank you for the feedback. Just try to answer my simple question.

Under the same stars with the same horoscope three children are born.

One is born as a heir of rich man. The second as the son of a laborer and the third as a son of a beggar.

If the horoscope determines their lives, fortunes and future they should be identical to all the three.

So there is something else which determines our lives, fortunes and future.

That is what we did in the past life.

O..k.., Honestly I dont beleive in horoscope. Anyway, what I think is there is something lack in the horoscope prediction or whatever you call it. If you beleive in that, you may have to ask the josiar. As you mentioned, yes something definitely missing, you call it poorva karma and I am saying inequality. The inequiality can be rectified through human love to another human being or even to another living organism. What you are saying is only anumanam not even that you are just following what was told by our ancestors.

Even foreigners are accepting the theory of rebirth now.

So, doesnt mean that it is right.

Why don't the chromosomes of the father and mother produce identical children?

That is what I said too! Each one of us are unique and we dont born again. So there is no poorva karma theory. (it is noly a theory)

Who decides which particular chromosomes are utilized in making the baby.

We need all 23pair chromosome to make human baby. Only our genes are selected. Science call it natural selection. I also have opinion on this too. In my opinion Mother and father have certain degree of control over the matter. Science is still evolving and try to find the truth.

Sowbagyavathy Amirtha, Greetings.

What do you think you are doing? If someone likes to believe in karma theory, just leave them be! Are you trying to change their belief? Why? If you don't believe in karma theory, why don't you just leave it at that. Tell you what, why don't you just start a thread on '23 chromosomes or just 'Natural Selection' ? let's have some discussion about genes, chromosomes etc.

Like you said everyone is unique. I respect your uniquness. It doesn't take long for a debate to turn into an argument.

Cheers!

Probably no one bothered whether they were alive or dead!
But they had one another to be happy and feel wanted!
May be they had a problem which was beyond their abilities to solve!
Certainly lack of money would not have been a problem.
May be too much of it was the real problem! :tsk:

I want an example for "meaningful connections" :)

dear Amirtha,

Purple used to be my color till I settled for green. :)

Pots are made of mud. If only air-dried and sun-dried and NOT baked in fire,

they can be broken, crushed, mixed with water and made into newer pots or even other articles.

But once it is baked in heat, this reverse process will not be possible.

So all of us are the sun-dried UNBAKED mud pots. We can be used to make newer pots in future.

Only the enlightened persons are like the baked pots. They will never be born again.

I never suggested that we should not love one another and help one another.

Karma theory does not mean walking away from misery and let the person suffer his lot.

If we help someone in misery it is a good karma and goes into our account.

If we turn or back and walk away it is bad karma and that also goes in to our account.

So all our accounts are interdependent in a very complex way.

So according to you, Indians can borrow everything from abroad including things that do not become of us

but they could not borrow our time proved philosophy!

Being unique is INDEPENDENT of poor janma or the future janma

Everything about everyone of us is unique.. including our iris, tongue print, finger print, foot print etc.

Mother and father have NO control over the production of the type of children they will have.

If they had, we will have the world filled with ideal citizens - made to order.

Those Four sisters WERE not four sister in their previous births.

They liked different things, lived different lives, added different things to their credit in their accounts.

THAT is precisely why one rolls in money, one rolls on gold and diamonds, one revels in a large loving family circle.

The least said about the other one the better.:tape:

In spite of having the same set of loving parents WHY this disparity???

We don't have to accept the wisdom of the ancestors obediently

NOR do we have to challenge and TRY to disprove everything they said and did.

Karma theory has its undeniable benefits

1. what can't be cured must be endured.

Karma theory gives us courage to go ON with the kind of lives that can only be endured and not cured.

2. It makes people want to help others at least to build up their own account of good karma.

Why is that Psychotherapy does not flourish in India as it does in the west?

WE have the good sense to change what can be changed and put up with what can't be changed

and KNOW the difference between the two. :clap2:

While believing in Karma Theory, a person need not sit back idle and suffer his lot.
Remember the kurals which believe both in the theory of karma
and the victory of one's ceaseless efforts.

The fourth sister-of whom the least said is better-did not let her luck bother her. :hand:

She knew how to convert every curse into a blessing. :juggle:

A Curse and a blessing are the two sides of the same coin.

One side shows a boon and the other side a curse.
They are always mutually exclusive. :decision:

So she worked relentlessly and transformed every curse into a blessing or a boon.

She had the maturity to accept the outcomes and go on with life

without comparing, complaining, grudging and feeling miserable.

Cool is it not?

Before newton discovered laws of motion, Indian scientist and philosopher Kanada (Hindi : कणाद) had given Vaisheshika Sutra (in 600 BCE) which describes relation between forcce and motion etc.

Before going to the formulas given by Kanada i will give some info about Vaisheshika andVaisheshika Sutra.

Vaisheshika (Sanskrit: वैशॆषिक) is one of the six Hindu schools of philosophy (orthodox Vedic systems) of India. Historically, it has been closely associated with the Hindu school of logic, Nyaya (syllogism, inference). The philosophers of this school used to debate on various subjects and try to achieve a conclusion.

The earliest systematic exposition of the Vaisheshika is found in the Vaiśeṣika Sūtra (600 BCE) of Kaṇāda (Ancient Indian Scientist and philosopher) .

Here are the Vaisheshika Sutras which describe the relation between force and motion :

1) वेगः निमित्तविशेषात कर्मणो जायते |

Meaning : Change of motion is due to impressed force.

(The law stated that an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.)

2) वेगः निमित्तापेक्षात कर्मणो जायते नियतदिक क्रियाप्रबन्धहेतु |

Meaning : Change of motion is proportional to the impressed force and is in the direction of the force.

3) वेगः संयोगविशेषविरोधी |

Meaning : Action and reaction are equal and opposite.

Actually I am strongly under the impression that the westerners who had "discovered" everything were the same ancient Indians who were born again.

They were just rediscovering what they had earlier discovered.
