So Sweeeeeeeet yaaar..you are the Manmatha Rasa of the forum!!!

Dear Renuka,

It would be my pleasure if I could have a chance of meeting with you. I am having the feeling that I would for sure have good time interacting with you, especially due your Pattasu Talk.

My mother and father said that, they liked your unique way of Pattasu Talk and laughing and giggling every now and then.

:)

Some say that, I have Sweet Voice and like you my mother says that.
Some say that, I have Husky Voice
Some say that, I should have learned Music and be singing

Many say that my response to others while conversing is very appealing, with expressions and with smiling face, having dimples.

Many say that my reactions to others feelings are very comforting

The thing, I am thinking over is, why this Raja still couldn't get his Rani?

I still remember talking to your mum and dad...they sounded like very loving couple and I was wondering if I was speaking too fast cos I tend to talk very fast and also I was wondering if my Tamil was Ok..but talking to your mum and dad was really a nice experience.
Till today I always tell my parents that Ravi's parents are really sweet people.

[TD]Socrates thoughts on gossip
download

Keep this in mind the next time you are about to repeat a rumor or spread gossip.

In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom.

One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied, "Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."

'Triple filter?" asked the acquaintance.

"That's right," Socrates continued, "Before you talk to me about Diogenes let's take a moment to filter what you're going to say.

The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"No," the man said, "Actually I just heard about it."

"All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?"

"No, on the contrary..."

"So," Socrates continued, "You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you're not certain it's true?"

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed. Socrates continued, "You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates, "If what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even useful, why tell it to me or anyone at all?"

The man was bewildered and ashamed. This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.

It also explains why Socrates never found out that Diogenes was having an affair with his wife.

Oh! I had missed seeing the dimples!!!
I am sure the Rani is also on the look out for her Raja.
The time is not yet ripe!
Gnaalam seyyaathathaik kaalam seyyum! :clock:

The third filter of usefulness should not have let the message pass through.
Certainly the info that his wife was having an affair would have been
useful to the great philosopher to curb it or nip it in the bud!!!

Hope.

The miserable hath no other medicine :nono:
But only hope. :flame:

True hope is swift,
and flies with swallows wings;
Kings it makes gods,
and meaner creatures kings. :drama:
