Dear Mr. Raghy,

You were wise beyond your age when you decided to save the card
(which makes your anatomy spring into action)
for you wife, so that you can afford to have it happen in safety.

Yes overcoming the delusion is important. It may be done by indifference or indulgence until one gets tired of it .

We are going back to the ancient period now the ladies wear very little on their backside and very little in their front also.

But they are real and I DO hope they will object to the passer-by touching them in the said parts.

I have seen a statue of Lincoln in Springfield. Touching his nose is supposed to bring good luck!

So while the rest of the statue is dark colored copper the nose alone shines like gold! You ca imagine the number of people who wanted to have their share of good luck!

As you said there are more things than that meet the eyes. There are more than one way of doing anything.

Let us select the way which will work best for us and try to come out of delusion struggling in our own individual style! :)

Sowbagyavathy VR, Greetings.

I refer to your message in post #1875. Your observation about that lady archer picture was very nice. So, why this picture was found in a soft porn site? Yes, there is much more to that picture. Her leggings stop at mid thigh level; her tops stop just below her navel. Also, she would not have drawn that bow on her own. Thanks for your appreciation!

I noticed, you side stepped my note about the sculptures in the temples. Not only yourself, but I noticed, none of the audience mentioned about that either. I am sure, every one of us have noticed those real life like, elegant, beautiful scuptures. But we seldom acknowledge the glamour side of it.

When I was 16 years old, I was searching a gift shop for greeting cards. I wanted to choose a nice greeting card for a young lady. I came across this card with a sculpture and bought that ( fortunately, bought few more nice cards with flowers back ground, temples background too). Came back to my room, when I was about to write the young lady's name & address on the card, I had a close look at that card.... A part of my anatomy sprang to attention! That sculpture was an erotic sculpture from Khajuraho! That was the first time I heard of that place. ( I didn't send that card. In fact, I saved that card for about 8 years and gave it to my wife to be!). I noticed in most of the ancient and old temples, very attractive statues are placed on the way to the sanctum sanctorum. Most of those statues, if ladies, are sculptured with very nicely and full rounded breasts, almost realistic hips and backside and most of them with as little dress as possible and the male statues are real handsome and with various scenes of display of valor. Te lady statues are so smooth, it almost invites you to touch it; from the discolorations, we can see, those statues are touched on the breast and on the inside of the thighs.

Our ancestors were brilliant. They knew, it would be near impossible to control moha just be pouring cold water on the head and involving in Rama or Krishna Japam. Those attractive staues are the invitations placed by our ancestors to bring out the animals from the depth of our minds. They placed such statues every where in a temple, but very particularly, on the way to sanctum sanctorum to indicate one can not attain the God or self realisation without overcoming such senses. All the persons who touched and caressed such statues physically and mentally lost their battle on that day. But our ancestors message was simple - it was like, 'never mind! She is not going anywhere! Comeback tomorrow and look at her until you loose interest in her!' One day we do realise that statue is nothing but a piece of rock, fashioned that way, it has no mind. it poses for everyone...blah, blah..... then we like to get a girl/man just for us who would talk, resppond, love, fight..... until we realise moha is a desire for just a piece of flesh. How we overcome moha is not important; there are many methods for that. Which ever suits us, we just take that.

But overcoming moha at the ripe old age is just lame! One does not have to give up moha altogether. We should control moha; we should not be controlled by moha.

Our mind is a jungle. We have animals of various sizes and shapes. We have to overcome all of them, every one of them to attain self realisation. To identify the existence of each animal is one realisation. We can find any one animal only by self examining. Unless we know who we are, we can not become the one 'who we want to be'. We have to have the baseline observations about ourselves so that we will know our own progress.

In one of my earlier messages, I mention about tantric method and gave an example about my food choices. That food choice comes under 'mada'. I am arrogant to reject other food unless it is cooked the way I like it; served in a way I like it! That is one more animal in my jungle! Did I overcome that? No sir! My DIL frantically writes down my receipes and cooking procedure with intermittent notes is petrified to cook anything! She is very afraid, I may make a negative comment about her cooking! My animal is winning the battle and laughing at me!

I am adding a vedio of sclptures of Belur to show what I mean about life like statues of beautiful girls. This addition is an after thought.

I am sure our temple carvings are 1000 times better and more beautiful!

Dear Raghy ji,

But I sometimes feel the bodies of the woman in temple carvings are FAT!
They have too wide hips, too big breasts, muffin top skin folds at their waist, wide thighs, flabby arms and skinny legs.

That type of body predisposes a person to metabolic syndrome.!!LOL

Respectable women are supposed to be slightly bent forward
(so as not to attract too much attention to the beautiful front).
Or they will appear like a modern sluts!
Drawing attention to where they richly endowed
and away from their scant brains!

But the "wow" has to come with better legs and more muscle tone!!

You know poets always even describe Goddesses as having breast bigger than the frontal protuberance of an elephant and also describing the goddess to be slightly bent forward owing to the weight of her breasts.

Raghy ji ..tell me this..in the medical profession have you ever seen any female walk bent becos of her enormous breasts?

The imagination of these poets can really run wild.

In good old days things were left to the imagination of the people...!!!

Dear Doctor,

Oh. yes ! Kalidasa was a grand master in descriptive writings. His use of Sanskrit language is inimitable. When we were young students of Sanskrit in a coeducation school, the description of Indumathi swayamvaram in Raghuvamsam or Parvathi in Kumarasambavam used to bring out giggles from both sides of the class.

Did you give him an additional shock
by answering in the affirmative???

Dear VR ji,

Today morning I was cutting Grape fruit into small pieces and this is the red variety where the fruit will be deep red like meat.
It really resembled meat and when my husband came into the kitchen he got a shock to see me cutting it and he asked me "what are you cutting?" with a shocked expression.!!LOL

NO!! wrong advice!!

One should always walk with straight back and shoulders pulled back so that no strain on the spine and also to prevent hunching in old age.

Yes Ma'am,

Imagination is in the play of mind which has no limit, but reality may be disappointing some times.
We enjoy reading the book which is more interesting than viewing the movie.

dear raghy !
thanks for rekindling my old experience of visiting belur ,halabeedu.hampi, badami etc during my stay in karnataka during 1970-1980.visiting those places in person will give more pleasure. the guide was giving the minute details of hair dressing, anklets.dressing paterns as well as the delicacy of various postures which makes me even now to remember (after 30 yrs).even in Gopurams of sri sarangapani temple in Kumbakonam & alagar koil in madurai depicts many obscene visuals.
the sculptures are carved taking in to account the compression &expansion our body undergoes when in action

and not depending on the imagination of the film maker.
