All set for a HOLY union!!! :)

Dear VR Ji,

I am like you..I am also a bathroom thinker.
When I was a teen I used to keep a pen in the bathroom cos halfway I might want to write down some maths formula I had studied so it would be recapitulation time.
So the walls used to have all maths formulas!!

I like singing in the car..I remember when I travelling to Penang Island during honeymoon. My husband was driving the car.
Journey took some 4 hours and through out the journey I sang bhajans for him and when we reached Penang Island I ended the bhajan singing the General Aarti.

and the world would have lost a great doctor and the forum a great thinker!!!

Dear Dr Renu

But I thought you'd be singing 'duets' with your hubby - and some limericks for old time's sake!

You should try singing in the bathroom - it's a great experience, with that ever applauding
audience, that will never go away for a 'commercial break'.

And with the backdrop hustle of flowing water, it's simply wonderful - much better than
the drab drool of a car engine, whose driver must've been longing to jump out and run away!

Try it - I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Oh! If you'd done maths elsewhere, you might've
ended-up an Engineer !

Yay Yem

Sowbagyavathy Renuka, Greetings.

Bathroom thinker!..... i can imagine the commotion outside the bathroom by the others waiting for their turn! Between 2006 and 2011, there was a water restriction in Brisbane restricting 4 minutes shower for everyone ( of course, has to self imposed).... I can imagine the bathroom thinker! :nono:

Bhajan songs for 4 hours.. did you guys accept 'Sanyasam' at Penang Island?! :decision:

Cheers!

You know I am remembering my college days now.
When I was in college.... one day my close friend was on the bike with her fiancee.
Then they asked me to hop on the bike too ..so we all went triples on bike..my friend was sitting in the middle and I was at the back most.

Suddenly my friend's fiancee broke into this song

pudhiya vaanam pudhiya bhoomi - engum
panimazhai pozhigiradhu
naan varugaiyilae ennai varavaerka
vannap poomazhai pozhigiradhu o o oaoa

laalla laalaallaa oaoaoa laalla laalaallaa

and he started leaving the bike handle and making MGR style of hand gestures.
We girls were scared we would fall.
Everyone was watching what was happening.

Later he said that he saw many engineering guys looking at us go triples on the bike and he thought he would make them jealous that he has 2 females on the bike!!LOL

When we go to Tirupathi on Patha Yatra, (travelled around 8 times or so), the accompanying
devotees used to Sing Bhajans and Namas of Lord Venkateswara. Similarly, once I went to
Putta Paruthi to seek admission for my daughter in the College, I had an opportunity to sit
along with other Devotees doing Bhajans to have a Darshan of Swami. Baba arrived at the
stage and HE sat for around 6-7 bhajan songs, tapping His hand, etc. We were all
blessed suddenly when He threw a pack of Vibhuti to us. That was a great moment in my
life. That time I stayed for more than a week doing Service.

LOL!!
Anyway we visited the Water Fall Murugan temple there too.

I still remember during my honeymoon we were walking on the street and my husband took a wrong road and we ended up walking through a pig market.
There were rows of shops with dead pigs hanging right after slaughter.

My husband kept apologizing saying that he feels bad taking a vegetarian wife walking through the streets where dead pigs are hanging.

I said "cool no problems..the pigs do not smell as bad a some dead humans in morgue"

Dear sir,

This year my father went to India somewhere early part of the year.
Before he went I had a dream that I was seeing a pic of Lord Shiva and a voice was telling me"I will be there in your father's flight"

I was wondering what that dream meant.
When my father came back he told us that when he was on board the flight to India..a group of Sri Sri Ravishankars followers were on board too and they were singing beautiful Shiva Bhajans through out the journey.
So I guess that explains the dream.

Where do you find these people???

Men and boys with head coverings varying from the namaaz type handkerchieve to the sheikh type head gears?

Girls and ladies from the chiththaal type headgear to the
Poolan Devi style covering the face and the features in it.

Crazy motorbikes lacing in the traffic like the spindle in a loom?

People armored in cloth from head to heels...
their arms, forearms and fingers included?

I guess the answer should be "Any major city in India like Chennai!"

Do they really love the attention they get??? :noidea:

They were taller than the avrage Indian female.

They were darker than the average Indian female.

They were more muscular than the average Indian female.

They were dressed in glittering bright colored sarees.

They had tied up their hair real high on their head and kept

jasmine flowers which were right on top of their heads.

(uchch vagideduththup pichchip poo vachchakili???)

They marched like sluts up and down the platform.

Do they really enjoy the attention they get???

:noidea:

The real adai (the draining board type) can rip off the neck of a mud pot when thrown with aim and expertise!

That kind of adai is available from Vaishnava temples. I have seen them, have eaten them too. But this Adai prepared by my wife is quite nice, quite tasty too. My children love it.

Cheers!

Mrs. Visala,

I was reading the " Adai " discussions.. it was quite interesting and some hilarious.. :-))
My suggestion whenever you feel heavy, imm drink some hot water with minced ginger or chukku podi.. not chokku podi :-)))) well also rubbing a bit of vicks on the tummy seems to help as well.. or Jeera kashayam.. a lot of us forget simple and natural stuff and worry too much, I do first try all our old wives stuff and later run to the doctor.. but again that is me.. :-)
