Yes Sir I agree with you.. Adai which consists of lentils and rice should be consumed if possible during the day, the problem arises for most only when they have it at night, there is not much activity to digest the food.. ennakkum Adai thatti naa thaan pidikum.. enga amma and chithi make Verum arisi Adai, that is totally awesome and some times the same maavu becomes koozhu dosai with shredded coconut.. andha adaikku my daddy used to have moor thirimbiya molagai, meaning, raw green chillies minced in thick buttermilk, my mom made her own thayir and of course vennai etc..
and we did have vellam with butter for the paruppu adai, specially the karuppu ullundhu adai is my favorite.. but it did not come right this time when I made it..
so why give up what we all enjoy, it is still healthy than fast food or some other fancy things you get outside these days.. I think tradition should be kept alive and my hats off to those who still make this and teach their children.. though I live in the US, my kids love certain things the traditional way their grandma my MIL and I made.. one of the favorite delicacy was ilai vadam, my MIL used to make this for them to eat it after it has been steamed..
